In partnership with AOL News, we have a handy way to track the votes in every state. The interactive map below will tell you what states have polls open, when they close, and will track the calls made by the AP on whether each state goes to Barack Obama or John McCain. Click on each state to see a county-by-county breakdown of the voting, as well as more detailed information on state totals.

I’ll be checking this throughout the day, and it’s just one of many reasons to make Hot Air your primary Election Day website!

Update: Bumped to near top.

On a happy note. There is no more poverty, racism has ended, we all have quality health care, we all have great public education, we no longer need a military, and Michelle Obama can be proud of her country.

God bless America!

About 4 of those called blue states, Obama’s lead has shrunk to 2 points or less with 10%+ of the precincts yet to report in.

Could not have said it better. Even now McCain is praising Obama’s achievement based on his skin color–not for any actual qualifications. How patronizing is that? Telling blacks that they can enjoy racial pride without having to worry whether their candidate is qualified to lead. Disgusting. Go home, McCain, and hide your accursed soul from the Conservative cause. That giant sucking sound is you keeping your “integrity” while keeping a lock and key on the Rev Wright scandal. You are guilty of selling us to the devil himself, a Stalinist without a birth certificate, college records, statehouse records, scrutiny of any kind. You spent the entire campaign talking about “the greatness of America” but you refused to unleash great forces against pure evil. You damned us to evil, just like Rev J. All well and good. But he is going to take an oath to defend and protect the Constitution. If he is going to change the Constitution, not with amendments, but with his ideologically like-minded appointees, from a Constitution that no longer limits the power of government to act against the people to a Constitution that sets forth what the government must do for the people, then he hasn’t held up his end of the bargain. “Saying that democracy is the best form of government is nearly as great an understatement as saying that the Pacific Ocean holds more water than any tin cup you’ve ever seen. The issues are so clear, the truth so solidly anchored, that I have no patience with people who think that there’s even anything to argue about.
“Someone once said to me, ‘Sometimes the people are lazy and stupid, and make poor decisions. It sometimes takes a strong leader to protect them and choose the right course.’
“So a nation of stupid and lazy people, because of a strong, intelligent leader, is saved from its own sloth and folly? Where is the justice in that?
“Democracy isn’t just the best form of government; it’s the only one even remotely worth a damn. Only democracy guarantees that people get what they deserve.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Hey, you paranoid dip-stick, think about this. ___DCMike, you sure do a lot of screeching against imaginary ghoulies don’t you.

___My feelings after last nights embarrassment, are certainly sadness, and just a touch of fear. I hope and pray that this moral victory for the minorities doesn’t cost us, as a whole, too dearly. I’m hoping that a President Obama turns out to be a much more center, and stable president than his record, and background would indicate.

___I have to say though that I suspect this election sounded the death knell for the country as I hoped it would be. I suspect that it portends the final downfall of the tenth amendment, and the complete corruption of the idea of limited government.

___Hopefully soon, we will remember that freedom is the first and most important right.

NEVER fear liberals, even when they are a majority. When things go their way, they gloat and strut ::cough DcMike2K cough::, but when things start getting tough (Viet Nam, Iraq) they cower, blame and run.

Know this also…Dems in power are idiots (gas prices were 2.16/gal when they took over Congress in 2006, they accused regulators of racism when red flags were raised about Fannie Mae, etc.) When they raise taxes on evil, evil corporations, wages will stagnate, prices of products will go up, jobs will be lost. When they raise the income and capital gains taxes on the rich, the rich will move their money to safety; they did not get rich by being more stupid than the Congress. Again jobs will be lost. It may take a little time, but the stench of socialism will wake up those who swallowed the “Hope n’ Change” mantra this time around.

Patrick S on November 5, 2008 at 8:38 AM

Oh, it’s not democrats that I fear, at least not in the traditional sense. But after years of watching our country move in the wrong direction, we finally voted in a President that has actually vowed to accelerate that movement. Of course so did the democrats in the house and senate two years ago, and they’ve accomplished almost nothing.
I still have hope. I most certainly still have a dream. I will still fight for freedom. Now it’s just in the face of a majority opposition.
