Round three: CO, NM; Update: Fox calls Ohio for Obama; Update: CNN calls Iowa for Obama; Update: Fox calls Virginia for Obama; Update: Denver Post calls Colorado for Obama; Update: NBC calls the election for Obama
posted at 9:06 pm on November 4, 2008 by Allahpundit
At this point I’d be shocked if either of them mattered, but the polls have closed so here’s a new thread for results.
As I’m writing that, CNN calls Minnesota and Michigan for The One.
Update: Turns out my prediction was too conservative: I had Ohio going for McCain. Fox calls it for The One. And with that, the hour of reckoning is at hand.
Update: I said in this post over the weekend that under no circumstances could Maverick lose more than one among Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. Unless the network projections are drastically wrong, he’s already lost two. According to MSNBC, with both PA and OH in the ledger, Obama has 195 EVs with 55 still to come from California. Florida would put him over the top.
Update: Ohio’s the first red state from 2004 to flip, incidentally, and the only one Obama needs thanks to its high EV number. He can win the election now simply by holding Kerry’s states.
Update: The nets will be appropriately cautious about calling Florida early after the fiasco eight years ago but Obama’s leading steadily by 150,000-200,000 votes with 60 percent reporting and the bellwether counties don’t look good. If that flips, we’re approaching landslide territory.
Update: Obama wins New Mexico, unsurprisingly.
Update: The polls are closed now in Nevada and Montana too, but neither will matter. CNN calls Iowa for The One.
Update: With 84 percent reporting, Obama’s now ahead in Virginia by 13,000 votes.
Update: With 91 percent reporting and a lead of more than 50,000 votes, Fox hands Virginia to The One. That gives him 220 EVs, according to my tally. California will put him over the top.
Update: More blood on the floor: The Denver Post says Colorado belongs to The One. We should have a call on California from the networks within the next five minutes, and that should wrap things up.
Update: And there’s California, and there’s the election.

I’ll call this douche bag Senator or Mr. Organizer until he leaves office, even if it’s 8 years from now. I didn’t vote for this POS.
I’ll do what the other side has done for 8 years. It was always “Mr. Bush”, or chimp, never President Bush. Well, it’s Mr Obama or POS or something but never president. He’s not my president.

Time to rally the troops and stay together – we are in this for the long haul here.
In the words of Glenn Beck… “Know what you believe.”
And God is still in control – I just pray He will continue to bless this great country after we have trampled on His laws, His Word, all that our founding fathers built this country on.

IT’S TIME FOR A REVOLUTION!
Muslim, White hating, Barack Hussein Obama is president?
Al Franken is in the senate?
You have got to be kidding me…
The media and the voting system is corrupted and under Obama it will be irreperable.
The fight against abortion is over.
Gay marriage will pass and Hate Crime legislation will be used to persecute Christians and shut down Christianity.
Guns will be taken away and the fairness doctrine will eliminate free speech in America.
America is dead….and with it goes the world.

Strategy:
Exercise your Consitutional rights: speak freely and own a gun.
Recognize that the Republican Party is on a slow death spiral. Welcoming millions of immigrants who hate everything the GOP stands for is the prime example. We cannot stay fooled any longer.
Put together a new political party that will fight socialism, affirmative action, immigration, gay marriage and other payoffs to minorities at the expense of the common good.
Do not bow to the Pretender President. He is the Pretender because he pretends to tell the truth.
Whenever Obama breaks a promise and raises taxes on the middle class, or spends less than planned on a welfare program, make sure to exercise your free speech and call attention to it.
Remember everything the Pretender President says falls into two categories. It is either (A) so obvious a schoolchild could have said it, or (B) a lie.
Remember that government propaganda (NBCABCBSFoxPBSNPRNYTimesAPReutersBBCCNNWaPoHuffTime) is a trying to destroy your interests as Americans, as Christians, and as human beings. They hate everything we are and stand for.
Network with other Resistance members. Trust only the ones who can be trusted.
Keep your faith in the Lord.

Unfortunately for them (and us) they are about to have their feelings hurt when they find out about B.Hussein’s lies about who will getting a tax cut and find themselves included. Or maybe they will have their eyes opened when he shows his true colors – it won’t take long for them to figure out what we have been trying to tell them –

I’m only interested in one more election. And the ass-clown damian1967 brought up the exact issue that I am concerned with because of it. Charlotte Dennett is running for AG in Vermont and pledging to prosecute President Bush with Vince Bugliosi. Bugliosi has said he would ask for the death penalty. I have served in combat and agreed with the entire prosecution of the war. If she wins and fulfills that promise or anyone else prosecutes him, I will demand to stand with him and face the same charges.

I couldn’t care less. You can’t get more inconsequential than the U.S. Department of Education. Of course he’s going to surround himself with lefties. And that’s why his presidency will be either an utter failure or utterly inconsequential. And with San Fran Nan and Dusty Harry all atwitter about a “mandate,” I think the former is the most likely scenario.
Look, the folks have given Obama “a chance.” He’s not qualified. They know he’s not qualified. When he screws it up, they’re going to say “OK, we gave you a chance. You screwed it up. Now go away while we look around for an adult.”
Seriously, everyone relax. He can’t entirely screw the pooch in 4 or even in 8 years. A democrat was going to get to appoint Supreme Court justices sooner or later. We’re all cleansed of that persistent, systemic racism the left’s been telling us we suffer from for years, so that’s off the table. And now President Obama has to lead. He has no work experience, and no one to turn to for advice but ardent leftists. He. Is. Screwed. I predict a disastrous presidency, a Carter-esque disaster. And if not? Well, good, then it won’t be a disaster and the country will thrive. Again, it’s a win-win for conservatives.
4 years minimum; 8 years max, and the very likely scenario that Americans won’t want to elect another democrat for decades. In fact, think it through rationally: They will blow it. They can’t help themselves. This is the beginning of the end of the American democrat party. It really, really is.
Rational Thought on November 4, 2008 at 11:06 PM

Our Country is not the same. We have to fight and raise holy hell. Sorry I am cursing.
sheebe on November 4, 2008 at 11:06 PM
The country hasn’t moved left. Chalk this election result up to the mainstream media’s refusal to portray Obama as the radical Marxist he clearly is and the Obama’s campaign’s shifty ability to pretend to be fiscally conservative and even hawkish during the general election. Massive voter registration and campaign finance fraud made it impossible for McCain, the GOP or private groups to get the truth to enough people.
It also hurt us that Bush is unpopular and that Obama was successfully able to blame the financial hiccup on Bush, while defining it as the worst thing to happen to our economy since the Great Depression. If the media had covered this thing properly, very few people would believe those lies and the liberals who delivered the financial crisis (which is what it now truly is) would have been punished across the board tonight.
The worst thing we can do now is to accept any of the liberal Democrats’ undeniably flawed premises. Real conservatism is what wins in America. That’s why liberal Democrats who disguise themselves as right-leaning moderates can win but moderate Republicans who brag about their liberalism always lose. The real liberal Democrats will take a Democrat over a Republican pretending to be a Democrat every time. The real Republicans will not trust either one of them.

I am proud to be an American, and not for the first time in my life.
Now, Black America just might understand something about this country that they have been blind to.
This is not a racist country. It is THE GREATEST COUNTRY in the world.
In a short time, after the party is over, Black conservatives are going to be coming out of the woodwork. They will not want to be associated with the demise of what it is that makes this country great.
And we will finally see a country where the political argument will be about ideology.
The race game is done.
The time is ripe for Black conservatives, many of whom have yet to discover that they are conservative, to come home to the Right, take leadership positions in larger numbers, and help put this country back on its feet again.
No longer will the Democrats carry 90% of the black vote.
