read somewhere else that Dixville Notch only has 19 registered voters. Can anyone corrobrate or refute that so that a flare can be fired off about it?

They had 26 registered voters in 2004. The total population of the place is about 75; basically the entire “town” is made up of a grand hotel called “The Balsams”.

I’ve lived in NH much of my life but only bothered to go there once. I was somewhat disappointed-the road in from Colebrook, the largest major town, goes thru a huge junkyard where contruction equipment like bulldozers go to die. The mountains are nice to look at, but nothing special compared to some of the other mountains here.

Supposedly, the cuisine at the Balsams is outstanding, but from my location I can get to Boston just as quickly.

One of the things I’ve noticed as I’ve matured and become more conservative is that most pop music is crap. Especially that pretentious 1980s art school music I used to think was so sophisticated. He asked whom I voted for and I told him it was none of his business. What I don’t like about this is he had a clipboard with a lot of paperwork on it and was marking down everything…what happened to “what happens in the booth stays in the booth”

This is the first time in my life that somebody came to the door and asked me whom I voted for

I went out and did my duty, and voted for Sarah Palin and that guy she’s running with. But horror of horrors, I found out my youngest sister voted for Uuuuuuhbama.

Learned the same thing about my sister and her husband in PA, but then remembered my Mom used to say Sis didn’t have a lot of common sense.

If we keep Obama below 300 electoral votes, I will consider it a moral victory.

How ’bout we keep him below 270 and call it victory?

Pardon the bulk mailing. I Can’t Vote. I am an immigrant with a Green Card and, therefore, I am not eligible to vote in a federal election…

But most of you can vote. What can I say? The Republicans have made us less safe than before 9/11, bankrupted this economy, started an illegal war they can’t – and don’t intend to – finish, removed what sympathy (after 9/11) and respect the world had for the US, and have robbed US citizens of many of their basic rights. Global warming? What’s that? Science and education? Investment in our future? No, thanks – we’ll stick with a good ‘ole hockey mom. Ignorant, and f***ing proud of it, as is always the case.

Although it looks like a shoo-in, it ain’t over ’til Florida. And there are plenty of racists in this country who will vote against their own best interests….

I don’t know who here watches Regis and Kelly. I know that I don’t, but they had an on-line poll live this morning. Mc was 55 and BO 44. I wonder if we are seeing things that people just kept to themselves, regarding this election. Racist is a horrible label to hang on people just because we are not drinking the Kool Aid.
