"Don't tell me words don't matter!"

Besides, we don't need jobs, we got Obama welfare on the way... big brother will take care of us.

(Big brother being U.S. government, not Obama specifically, I'm no racist, I'm voting McCain because Obama is a socialist freak, liar, flip flopper, questionable associations, no real political record.... oh never mind you get the idea).

Oh yea, I forgot, I criticized Obama so therefore I am indeed a racist.... now where did I put my white robe?

Coal only provides half of our electricity.

Harnassing Obama's perpetual lying can easily compensate for that.

Obama lies all the time. If the media is only fair in their reporting, Obama won't even win the primaries. I just wish and hope that the people will realize that before it is too late.

Just another failing of the McCain campaign.

McCain's op research team must consist of a couple of high school kids who play more Halo than google. Asking other high school kids on Facebook if they've heard any Barack Obama rumors doesn't count.

Sen. Obama is ignorant, and Sen. Biden is just plain stupid.

Both of them don’t know anything about Energy, coal or clean coal technologies, or what is being done TODAY in these areas. The one effect that these self appointed *Intellectual Geniuses* policy will have is the devastation of the hard work that is going on in a five-nation project to develop clean coal. It’s as much a foreign policy issue as it is a domestic issue.

Tokyo (AFP) April 22, 2007
Japan and the United States will lead a five-nation project to develop a coal-fired power plant which discharges no carbon dioxide inthe air, a press report said Sunday.

The five nations, including China, India and South Korea, are expected to sign a deal this year on technological cooperation for the project, the leading business daily Nikkei said quoting Japanese government sources.
The paper said that Tokyo aims to strengthen its alliance with Washington in the development of technology to control carbon dioxide emissions amid intensifying competition with Europe.

A pilot plant, with a relatively small capacity of about 280,000 kilowatts, will be built in the United States, with each of the four other countries contributing at least 10 million dollars to the project, the Nikkei said.

Most of the cost, estimated to top one billion dollars, will be borne by the United States, with Japan and other participants supplying technology.

The costs of building and operating the new power plant will initially be twice as much as a conventional coal power station. But the costs will be reduced to make the project profitable by the 2020s, it said.

more comments and questions regarding domestic energy

Wind Power: If we move forward and build and deploy more wind turbines, will the environmentalists then fight the necessary Rights of Way to get power from the Wind turbines to the Consumers

Oil: What percentage of the royalties does the Federal Government receive from off shore resources versus how much goes to the actual residents of that state?

Nuclear: Will the Congress and the Executive branch work in unison to assure we begin to build new plants now so we can lessen our need for foreign energy sources in the next ten to twenty years? or will it be the same grid lock we've experienced for many decades?

Yeah, voters don't care about coal, oil, gas, or any of that dirty stuff...except when you can't afford to put gas in your tank or heat your home or keep the lights on. Other than that, it don't mean crap.

Obama will start riots if he keeps going down this path as President. We are all getting a taste of the next 4 years and the MSM is fully compliant in this treason.

I'd bet that many Americans will start to care a LOT about Coal as we experience Brownouts in the future.

Hopefully, Republican leadership will make a stronger effort to link Energy Independence with National Security.

pb, just received my utility bill today with a letter from the Power Company. They tell me that my rates will increase substantially due to coal and natural gas costs. I also live about 30 miles from community that has as it's major source of local revenue a coal mine. So coal matters greatly to everyone.

Nonsense. The certainly care if their livelihood depends upon it. And word of Obama's planned destruction of this industry is spreading - in spite of the Drive-By media blackout.

You really should try to be more positive, Dubya. People are going to start believing you are really an Obama troll. That would not be a good thing.

Anyone actively trying to suppress the expansion of domestic energy production and usage should be immediately removed from the power grid. Too many libtards believe that electricity is something that just "appears" inside the wall outlet when they need it.

Funny, ABC Radio news went out of their way today to make excuses for Obama claiming this was old news, and of course taken out of context. They went on to reiterate how far ahead in the polls Obama was implying it was no use for Republicans to vote. They need to be taken out.

Good news, but 4 hours before election day? Good grief.

There's so much about this election and the media covering that is rotten, I don't even know where to start.

We had the construction of a clean coal power plant blocked here in GA recently by enviro wackos in court. Along with it went all the jobs that would have been created to not only build it but then to operate it.
Coal power is a big deal and the more the liberals block all of these alternative sources the less meaning their arguments have.
The truth is they are working against allowing us to be energy independent

I would really appreciate it if someone in a Battleground state could tell us if the coal story is being played by the local media?
