Video: Obama’s attack ad on … Obama

Mary Katharine Ham has collected a number of Barack Obama’s contradictory statements, and proved once again that Team McCain could have used her as a captain. This, truly, is change you can believe in:
In an earlier age, this kind of backtracking would sink a candidacy. Think, for instance, of John Kerry and his flip-flops just four years ago. Barack Obama turned them into an art form and somehow managed to fool a whole lot of people into thinking it looked presidential.
We could have used a 30-second spot with these a few weeks ago, before and after the financial crisis hit. Unfortunately, one 30-second spot couldn’t have possibly covered the breadth of Obama’s contradictions on the stump. The big one, on Iran, did manage to make it into one of the final spots of the McCain campaign last week. Let’s hope it sinks into the minds of the undecided voters.
Update: MKH sends a new mix to replace the old.

It has and it will. The undecideds are breaking for McCain. The Drive-Bys will refuse to report that and ill deny it even after McCain is elected.
But the fact remains that McCain will be elected president.

I’d like to take this time to announce my candidacy for the RNC. Please write your congressman (if they are GOP) and tell them to hire me. I want to help fix things in the GOP.
That said Obama is toast because changing your mind every time your asked a question is not a good way to govern.

Starlink on November 3, 2008 at 6:02 PM
I fear that all of these late breaking revelations are too little too late to change the election. People betting real money on this election give McCain about a 15% chance.
HOWEVER….it will be different once he is elected. The honeymoon will be brief the first time he fumbles a crisis or he supports a policy that upsets the base. Or he placates the base and upsets all those “moderate” rookie Senators and Congressmen who told the good folks back home that they weren’t going to Washington to vote for the The New Deal, Part Deux. There are only about a million issues where this could happen.
Barack is NOT used to getting out in front of an issue, driving consensus and then taking accountability for the results. You know, leadership. He is much more comfortable equivocating eloquently while the debate is raging and then criticizing the result after the fact.
The financial bailout was classic. He did nothing until after it was clear the Senate was going to pass the revised bill. A year from now, I am sure he will offer up a critique of everything Paulson did wrong.
Question — what issue is he going to fumble first? Which MSM outlet will jump ship first?
My guess is that the fundamental tax overhaul debate will be the first test. There is no way to keep the left and the moderates happy.
And I bet that the Washington Post is the first MSM to leave the reservation. Am looking for a disappointed EJ Dionne.

What a two-faced liar.
What I’m gonna love is, if Obama wins, watching his supporters defend the very same things they’ve been screaming at Bush about.
VolMagic on November 3, 2008 at 6:03 PM
“Con-Man” according to Eagleburger. That’s an accurate assessment, in my opinion. Thug, cheat, swindler, pathological liar, and sociopath are other words that also seem to fit the bill.
Let’s call it plain: the man wants to take America down by bankrupting entire industries, throwing us out of jobs, cruelling us all with skyrocketing energy prices, confiscating our hard-earned, and crushing us under the heel of a massively intrusive government who will be checking everything from our tire inflation to our thermostat settings to our dinner menus to what we say to each other in private conversation. Idi Amin and Robert Mugabe would be proud of his ambitious agenda.

Not.

What a shame, McCain should be ahead by 20 points, or Obama forced to withdraw weeks ago.
But the MSM was bound and determined to flex their muscle…
right2bright on November 3, 2008 at 6:05 PM
I still can’t believe McCain/Palin did not put together a 30 minute documentary on Obama concluding with their positive views going forward on the war, government reform, taxes and a comprehensive energy platform to name but a few.
Independents would have watched it by the millions just to see Palin addressing the nation.
I said six months ago the only way to defeat Obama was with his own words. Here it is the day before the election. WTF !!!

The inside scoop on Obama’s campaign (from a relative that works on his internet, very high up), Obama’s camp is in a panic mode. They are shocked over what has happened the last week…their internals (although he never saw them) must show something very bad.
He states they are in a full court panic mode, full court press and they are banking on Republicans not voting.

mikeyboss on November 3, 2008 at 6:10 PM
I have come to believe that most voters don’t care about his double positions as long as he tells them what they want to hear at the time.
Ultimately, a vote for Obama is not a vote for cohesive, or even consistent policy, as this video shows that his policy is all over the map. No, a vote for Obama is a vote against “status quo”, whatever that is deemed to be. For some that means George Bush. For others, it means GOP. For others still, it means Christianity, free enterprise, and the Protestant work ethic. Unfortunately, so many people are together revolting against this “status quo” idea, they will vote for whomever the other guy happens to be. Nothing else of substance really matters.
Edwards was right. America is now two countries, irreconcilable with each other along ideological lines that can never be unified. While many obama voters are voting against the status quo of George Bush, more are voting against the status quo of America as we know it. They want to change America as it has always existed. That is what the change motto is about.
Unfortunately, those disillusioned independents who are voting against Bush and co, are going to end up handing the country over to those other voters who will turn America into something no one will recognize 50 years from now.
keep the change on November 3, 2008 at 6:11 PM

7:00 shift I start my phone calls, time to grab a bite and promote McCain/Palin. It has been a blast calling, I get a lot of positive feed back, it is not what I had gotten in past elections. They love Palin, I don’t believe the negatives, I mean they love her.

Seeing time as a series of discrete intervals is a Euro-centric way of thinking and hence racist. Obama may say whatever he wants and then contradict it later because he isn’t bound by the same future-time orientated mindset as white supremacists.

William Amos,
I’d be happy to recommend you to the RNC. I have been told by numerous friends, clients and family to work for them as well. At least a dozen times during this campaign I became incensed at the ineptitude of the McCain campaign and RNC. You don’t bring a butter knife to a gun fight.
Whatever the outcome tomorrow, The Republican Party needs to stop nominating RINOs and promote rock-ribbed conservatives. At all levels, federal, state and local. Even with all the issues stacked in the demoncRATS favor, Obama should be beaten like a rented mule. His own words could/should destroy him. The guy is not POTUS material.
I’ve actively e-mailed and called (for months) all who I know to support McCain. I don’t always agree with him but the alternative is a disaster looking for a place to happen.
Many thanks to HA during this campaign for the great info and links.

csdeven on November 3, 2008 at 6:45 PM
If McCain is tied in 4 of 6 battleground states… he wins the election.
Even Obama’s manager, Pfluffypuff, said if Obama is not up by 5 pts on election day… it’s gonna be a problem.
Guess what. He’s not up +5 in any battleground state and only up +7 in the Fox News polls… We all know the polls are crazy skewed towards the libtards.
In short… suck it up… tighten your belt… fill up your car with gas… call all your friends and spend the day getting folks to the polls.
The next person to post a defeatist comment will get flamed until you all come around to our view of winning this election.
Fozzy Bear on November 3, 2008 at 6:48 PM
Those clips are just the tip of the iceburg, I believe there will be much more to come.
One big one not mentioned in the piece was the whole Obama getting caught in the lie on infanticide, calling others liars, then admitting that they lied, then him denying it further when McCain brought it up during the final debate.
Why did McCain fight harder in the republican primaries then he has during the last three months?
