Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), Kevin McCullough and I will once again explore the intersection of faith and politics. I’ll talk about my collaboration with The Anchoress, Elizabeth Scalia, on our open letter to our fellow Catholics on the election.  We’ll also review the latest video and audio on coal and energy policy that could help tip some battleground states away from Barack Obama — and wonder aloud why it took so long to hear about Obama’s statements.  Kevin will give us a preview of the next BMX Radio show, and we’ll again plug his book, The Kind of Man Every Man Should Be: Taking a Stand for True Masculinity.

Afterwards, we welcome Senator Orrin Hatch to the show!  Senator Hatch will make one last effort to get conservatives to the polls to support Republican candidates for the Senate and blunt efforts to produce a filibuster-proof Democratic majority. Update: I put the wrong Hatch on the front page!

Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice moderates the chat, and he has his Troll Gun Trivia Contest running before the show, for those who get there early — and are registered!

Or Kevin?

That’s Mike Hatch, hack Minnesota politician and loser to Tim Pawlenty. Someone in your photo picking department needs to be sacked.

That’s not the Orin Hatch I knew!

Mr D, you’re right. That is Mike Hatch!

Ed-
Mike Hatch is Orrin Hatch’s illegitimate younger brother.

I can never understand why people treat Orrin Hatch like he is a conservative. He is a slimy, backstabbing traitor. He is an embarassment to the Great State of Utah and should be ridiculed for his constant willingness to cozy up to people like Ted Kennedy. His support of embryonic stem cell research, his devotion to Kennedy (please note he wrote a song in tribute of that disgrace to our republic), his unwillingness to call Democrats on their behavior in favor of “reaching across the aisle.” At least with Hagel you know he is going to stab you in the back. Hatch is very careful to keep his duplicity camouflaged.

In case it isn’t clear, I don’t support him.

His office helped the family get the Purple Heart for my 82 year old uncle a couple of years ago. Yeah, 62 years late but Orrin thought attending a Jazz game was more important than presenting it to the old warrior himself.
