Ahhhhh. Hot Air opens the doors for the onslaught of moonbats that will arrive here with their severe cases of BDS…well it will actually be M/PDS (McCain/Palin Derangement Syndrome) after tomorrow night.
The good thing is that they will be harmless. Can’t say the same for the people who decide to try and burn down north Las Vegas tomorrow night. I hope to not have to defend my relatives, but I certainly will defend them with extreme prejudice.

How about this, I’m IN! Greetings from the People’s Republic of CT-Stan, a bluer-than-blue state.
By the way, Obama and McCain are being interviewed by Chris Berman, DA CHOSEN ONE as I call him starts off.
Since this is ESPN, sports questions pop up like if you could change one thing about sports…Obama wants playoffs in college football. Y’know, I agree. He goes with an 8-team tourney. You know I have had thoughts about that. I must be going crazy.
A commercial later, it’s Macs turn. Same sports change question. His call, prevention of use of ‘roids and other drugs. Tough to try and do. He was asked about advice from the sports world. He went back to his high school football days about his coach and English teacher who taught him lessons about life. And he was also asked about what people think about when voting perhaps for him.
McCain with a Berman TD call; he COULD…GO..ALL..THE..WAY. Gets a chuckle out of Berman. You know a man who can laugh at himself should get at least some shot in this, right?
Both their NFL teams get mentioned in the Q&A which I think was done nicely, given that it’s ABC-owned ESPN.
By the way, it’s 10-6 Steelers at the half. According to this stat, when the Redskins play on Election Day eve and win, the party in office wins the Presidency. In other words, Redskins win, McCain wins, Steelers win, Obama wins.
Now Rush is a BIG Steelers fan given that he worked in Pittsburgh under the name Jeff Christie, although I heard him on his show last week chew out his team for giving Obama a Steelers jacket!
In the interest of all disclosure, I was going to vote Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party. But I have changed my mind and will go for McCain/Palin. Besides, Palin carries more interest for me and my mother. I will get into that in a future post.
Meantime, I’ve got my SIRIUS Satellite Radio, tuned into the Pittsburgh and DC radio calls and ESPN on the TV so I don’t have to hear the terrible trio of Tirico, Jaws and Kornheiser. I can’t believe you guys in DC are stuck with him for a sports columnist. Then again, we have Mike Lupica of the NY Daily News. But all that is for another time.
Been a HOTAIR fan from almost the start.

Hi you all, thanks for the invite! I’ve been lurking here every day for months now. Really nice to be here.

njpines, best wishes on your eventual move out of NJ. Like you, also NJ native. As much as I love NJ, I cannot afford to keep staying here. The middle class are moving out in droves. Within the last 3 years, 3 families on my husband’s side moved to FL, 3 of our neighbors moved to FL, plus other people we know have moved to SC, NC, PA, GA. Must be getting crowded down there.

Welcome to all the new-comers.

Wow, seems like a lot of fellow Californians have made the cut this time. It’s rough living behind enemy lines, but I’m with Mercedes, let’s turn this mess red tomorrow!

I say, “bring ‘em on!” We all know how wonderful it is to try to explain anythin to an oblivious liberal.

I don’t mean to single you out, Rowina, but your comment triggered this big question I have. Previous open registration threads have demonstrated that many people register, post their first comment, then are never heard from again. I miss them and wonder why. Are you part of another blog community? Is our room too rowdy?
Anybody reading, I would love to know. I’m an old big-tent type who wonders where there is seldom a big increase in our regularly-participating community after the door is open for so long.

Thank HA, down here in the Antipodes i have been eagerly waiting for this ticket to ride!!! love the uncluttered layout and the content is an antidote to our own uber left- liberal MSM

I signed up for Hot Air on day one when somebody posted at FR (probably AP) that Michelle was starting a new blog. I’m registered at Powerline, Redstate, Townhall, Newsbusters, Jihad Watch, and finally got to register at Michelle’s, but I have only posted a few times at the other places. My big thing is disseminating info, not just hanging out at one place, but this and FR are probably where I am most of the day. I think people just get comfortable with the format and feel of a website. When they sign up for a new one, it takes awhile for them to leave the comfort of wherever they call “home.”

Glad to be here from flyover country.

I guess I can’t really answer the question, but I know that my activity on sites other than HotAir comes in spurts, so it could be comparable for newcomers (and others) on HotAir.

I am a long time avid reader, first time poster.
I just wanted to thank Hot Air for being here and keeping us up to the minute with the latest news. What an incredible find you have been in my life. Regardless of what happens tomorrow, know that your words have gone far and wide and helped many to see the truth.
And to each of you for helping to keep me sane with all of your posts during the incredible nuances of these past four months, Thank you!! Your conservative voices have been a beacon of light.

I am new to bloging. This is my firs and only site. I have been reading Hot Air for about a month. It has been very interesting. Is there software that helps you blog?
chacker on November 4, 2008 at 1:35 AM
Nope. Real bloggers would shun such a contrivance anyway.

I’m a newbie from the great state of Hawaii, so my McCain sign was slashed the morning after I put it up. I really need HA to detox after watching/reading local news.

Thank you, Michelle Malkin! Thank you, Allahpundit! Thank you, Ed Morrissey! Thank you, Hot Air posters. You all have been a much-valued source of information and encouragement (and laughter!) over the past few months.
