These are the bellwether states to look for in terms of (in)validating polling thus far.

Heavy voting in my tiny precinct in Indiana. My cousin voted in one of the largest GOP counties in Indiana and the crowd was large. Our polls close @ 6pm. I THINK there are a couple areas in Indiana that are on Central time. Maybe up by Chicago and then down by Evansville. Don’t quote me about the Evansville part though, but I’m 90% sure about East Chicago/Gary. THAT is a HUGE DEM voting area.

McCain was bound to pick up some of Hillary’s supporters anyway after the way Hillary was treated by the Obama campaign. These are the so-called PUMA (Party Unity My Ass) folks….

I respect your right to choose your candidate but not three times! A vote for Bob Barr is like voting for MaoBama by proxy IMHO.

Obama did talk about a “civilian national security force” with funding equal to that of the US military. Who would be its enemies?

Although if he did try to do something like that, the REAL U.S. military, 3/4 of whom vote for McCain, might stage a coup d’etat…

Well I suspect that the military budget will be drastically reduced with a new emphasis on recruiting more ‘diverse’ recruits. Some of these recruits may in fact be foreign nationals. A program currently exists to do that from Uganda but it could be expanded.

Obama will do everything he can to reduce the effectiveness of the military with emphasis on the army.

I was being sarcastic and I suppose I should have made that clear what with on the trolls and obamabots around. My point was that Obama will not call them re-education camps but that is what they will be.

Well I just read Sean Malstrom’s article here.

Either the guy is on some REALLY good dope or he has a very good point … and McCain will win fairly easily today. I have to say – throughout this election season I’ve felt “out of sync” with what I’ve been seeing in the news media and polls and what my gut tells me should be happening. And as Sean points out in his article – perhaps we aren’t the ones out of “synch” … perhaps it’s the media and the polls that are. This is a long and very good read though.

I still think McCain will win the election and do so by a larger margin than Bush did in 2004. When this happens, a hurricane of outrage will be unleashed at the political analysis business, mostly the pollsters. People will demand to know how they could be so off. In other words, the future of the political analysis business will be destroyed as their reputation will become destroyed in the upcoming days.
