It won’t be easy but it is do-able. What’s got Maverick, Salter, and other senior aides suddenly so bubbly? Their internal polls, in all likelihood. Lead pollster Bill McInturff pronounced the race too close to call in a memo sent out late last week that claimed things were trending their way in the battlegrounds. They must have gotten more good news over the weekend. Someone had better tell Joe the Plumber because he’s sounding even more pessimistic than I am.

Sadly, I agree with O’Reilly that McCain didn’t take the opportunity to make his election a referendum on Frank and Dodd. He should have reamed them every day and promised to get them. Even if he backed the bailout, I think he’d have gotten considerable mileage out of a promise to get all the Fannie and Freddie enablers. I’d have said Megyn Kelly would be more special prosecutor to investigage all those lowlifes.

On the good news front:my husband is going to vote for McCain tomorrow and I made several calls in Nevada. Mostly messages. On the bad news front:I cryed my eyes out in desperation watching O’Reilley and all the other pundits declaring McCain dead and burried.

I’m off to bed so I can be at the polls at 7 am sharp. I live in the most democratic district in MN (Keith Ellison ring a bell) so needless to say I’ll be fighting with not the brightest bulbs on the tree at the polls.

My husband had a diffrent take on the whole thing. He said that God is in controll and what ever is going to happend has a purpose. Anyway he scolded me for the fact that after Iowa caucas I thought that Obama was an intresting guy and a new type of politician. Go figure he was right from the very begining not liking him. My husband is one of the people that would have wanted Hillary to be the candidate and he voted for the winner 4 times in a row:2 times for Clinton and 2 times for Bush. And he doesen’t like McCain very much but he doesn’t like Obama at all.

I think Bill O is just trying extra hard to appear fair and balanced. I boycotted him when he had The One on during the RNC convention. But I unboycotted after he tore Barney Frank to pieces.
