Breaking: Palin exonerated by Personnel Board

Sarah Palin did nothing wrong in firing Walt Monegan, the Alaskan State Personnel Board has concluded. Their independent investigator criticized the legislature’s investigator for applying the wrong law. They also said that Todd Palin did nothing wrong in pressing for action against the governor’s former brother-in-law:
A new report just released — hours before the polls open on Election Day — exonerates Gov. Sarah Palin in the Troopergate controversy.
The state Personnel Board-sanctioned investigation is the second into whether Palin violated state ethics law in firing her public safety commissioner, and it contradicts the earlier findings by a special counsel hired by the state Legislature.
Both investigations found that Palin was within her rights to fire Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan.
But the new report says the Legislature’s investigator was wrong to conclude that Palin abused her power by allowing aides and her husband, Todd, to pressure Monegan and others to dismiss her ex-brother-in-law, Trooper Mike Wooten. Palin was accused of firing Monegan after Wooten stayed on the job.
It’s probably too late to address the political damage done by the partisan hack job from the legislature, but at least it will correct the record. The Personnel Board must have concluded that mind-reading isn’t its job or the legislature’s, and that a governor can terminate a political appointee for whatever reason. This has been the truth all along, but some in Alaska — and around the country — conveniently forgot it for just enough time to smear Palin.
Monegan won’t get a hearing from the Personnel Board to “clear his reputation”. Where does Palin go to clear hers after this tempest in a teapot?

Matthew 7:
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

And when I say show me the evidence, I mean that I want links, not just unbacked claims made by yourself.
MedSchoolCatholic on November 3, 2008 at 10:30 PM
Would love to see this development on the frontpage of the so called “papers of record” but I know that is only a fantasy…
As to the finding of the personnel board, I knew there was nothing there and it infuriates me she had to go through this charade while being initiated onto the national scene. Shame on the witch hunters!
Buckeye Babe on November 3, 2008 at 10:36 PM
We are called to ‘judge’ (discern) by that same Word/Spirit.
pambi on November 3, 2008 at 10:44 PM
Not judging… lol … you’re funny. You’re kind are so easy to figure out. Yes sir, I am young earth creationist all the way. The Bible says God made the world about 6,000 years ago; 4,400 years ago there was a Flood that destroyed the world; 2,000 years ago Jesus came, died on the cross, and here we are today. Here we are today, waiting for the Lord to come back in about 5 minutes. NOTE: This theory not only explains how the dinosaurs died, but how so many fossils were preserved (a gigantic flood with tons of dirt and water covering you instantly would result in a fossil).
Do you believe the Bible was made by man or God? And do you believe in evolution? I know the “Vatican Incorporated” teaches evolution. How about you?

Probably the most misunderstood sentences in the Bible.

Palin just released her medical records also. so 2 talking points of the left done

As my screen name implies, we are still in a culture war, and Jesus said occupy til I come. Only by changing men’s hearts will their minds and views be changed. Pray Hard, Stay Clean, and Vote the Mac and Cuda ticket….and (God Forbid) if we do not prevail, God does have HIS plan, and HIS ways ARE Higher!

Actually, he’s a secular humanist pretending to be an evangelical Christian.
highhopes on November 3, 2008 at 10:50 PM
Well, I don’t think he used his faith in God as a political ploy. He wears his faith on his sleeve like all Christians should do. I try to do that. I am no different than Mike in that regard. Anyways, if you’re happy with yourself and sure you didn’t lie about somebody then that’s between you and the LORD. We will all have to give account on the day of judgment. Jesus said “every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.” Matthew 12:36

Boy, are you deluded. I’m not calling you names. I’m just saying get yourself well dude, cuz that’s not Mike.

You, and me, we could be good friends.

“Now go slap a liberal back into reality and get McCain/Palin elected”
Jezzzz don’t go and slap a lib, Please
Just ask them to give you their wallet!
Remind them that their spreading the wealth
and it will make the “feel better”
Oh, and tell them “have a nice day!”

Thank you, jgapinoy.
Some of these folks need to familiarize themselves with what “judging the righteous judgment” means. The advice, “Do not judge,” does not mean to be blind to sin and wickedness. The bible says, “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” John 7:24

Sarah has been demonized because she knows Who’s in charge.
pambi on November 3, 2008 at 11:06 PM
Wow. That’s pathetic. Can’t believe you said that highhopes.
apacalyps on November 3, 2008 at 11:06 PM
How nice the day before the election the libs say never mind. This whole thing was just a sham to try to destory Gov. Palin.
thmcbb on November 3, 2008 at 11:07 PM
Some also think that it means that we can’t make moral distinctions either. They are wrong.
Mojave Mark on November 3, 2008 at 11:48 PM
Time to start vetting the media, folks. It’s time they learn what it’s like to be on the other end of the microscope.
spmat on November 3, 2008 at 11:59 PM
To the election booth tomorrow that’s where.
The “damage” you refer to is only assumed by the mainstream media push polls.
Next question.
Mcguyver on November 3, 2008 at 11:59 PM
Funny how some people take the Bible absolutely literally……… until it is quoted against them; THEN it is subject to interpretation.
Moral judgements are a fine thing. More people should make them. Then, if you want to be convincing, rather than merely hypocritical; offer logical examples as to why the other person is incorrect…. rather than just another bible quote to show how much more ‘holier than thou’ they are.
What I object to is when people are told they are going to hell because they dare say a negative thing about Mike Huckabee.
LegendHasIt on November 4, 2008 at 12:31 AM
I am appalled at the sexism this election year. From Hillary to Sarah, the media have done their best to destroy these women. Although I couldn’t care less about the Clinton’s, I am furious at the MSM and the Lefties and even at the pseudo-conservatives like Chris Buckley, Peggy Noonan and the remaining bunch of goons who have openly mocked Sarah without even having a conversation with her. Thanks to that ’staple eyed’ moron Katie Couric who successfully destroyed her first impression and made her look like a train wreck.
Who cares about her shoes, jackets and her hairdo, she’s a new kind of leader. I care more about her pro-life stance and about her vast knowledge concerning the energy needs for this country.

She’s a Republican, if they can do it to Bush, why shouldn’t they feel it would work on her. All they want is to create distractions from themselves, and it has worked wonderfully for them through this whole Bush administration and election cycle.

Breaking News: OJ investigated himself. Found he did nothing wrong. More at 11…
ManOnLI on November 4, 2008 at 1:18 AM
That’s right. They seem to think that the warning to “judge not” means that we are to see, and hear nothing, and to say nothing. That is clearly not what Scripture says. We are to use our spiritual discernment for, “he that is spiritual judgeth all things,” (1 Corinthians 2:15). That means we are to use discernment; we are to distinguish between the false and the true; but we are not to condemn others. Only the Lord can do that.

Amazing timing! Obammy’s granny dies of cancer (what happened with her broken hip?) Obammy’s Aunt is found to be illegally in the U.S., Palin is exonerated when anyone with any sense know she did no wrong. The media is a farce!
nelsonknows on November 4, 2008 at 4:41 AM
But isn’t that the problem? A whole lot of ’spiritual discernment’ going on but without any spiritual awakening.
The Messiah said that in that Day, many will say to Him, Lord Lord. And He will say to them Depart from me you workers of iniquity (evil) I never knew you.
There are an awful lot of people who are deceived. They think they are saved (know Him) but they are not.
Any spirit can judge another spirit (cops do it all the time) but only the Holy Spirit can judge righteously.

Mcguyver on November 3, 2008 at
Agree. Another media-contrived “scandal”. I don’t think anybody with two brain cells to rub together (eliminates most big-eared goblin supporters) thought this was an issue of any significance.

Vindication for Palin–that’s all. Corporate fascists in the media, that’s just one loss, of what I hope will be many. By the way, I just came back from voting. Had my mom with me as for the first time in her life, her a lifelong Democrat went with McCain/Palin as did I!
BobAnthony on November 4, 2008 at 7:02 AM
Ha ha so hilarious – if she were a Democrat you’d be calling for her head on a platter. What a joke.

Which one is a liberal concept and which one is a conservative concept?
Perhaps we should ask Alberto Gonzales.
Bravo, for common sense. This time.

Morning Drywall, if the allegations were brought up against a dimocrat, 9 to 1 says they would be true, but it would just get swept under the rug. You must be jumping up and down with glee to see the last bastion of conservatism being relegated to the trash heap. Don’t think you realize that this will not only effect us, but the consequences will also effect the rest of the world. Careful of what you wish for.

I am thankful that Gov. Sarah Palin has come to the forefront of the American political stage. It is exhilerating to have my values and worldview validated rather than manipulated by a politician of national stature.
Yesterday I bought an Alaskan state flag. If the unthinkable happens and we are faced with an Obama presidency, I intend to register my protest every day of his incumbancy. I can’t think of a more fitting symbol.
Venusian Visitor on November 4, 2008 at 10:26 AM
This too, day before election.
Alaskans are going to tolerate the “slow mental processing” picture that this board just painted on their state?
maverick muse on November 4, 2008 at 11:19 AM
Better late than never?\
Was the media announcing the Alaskan personnel board exonerated Palin? Duh, mute in Obama’s bag.
GO PALIN! Go McCain, GO GOP!

Is this sunday school or a political blog? Keep your religious soapbox in the closet.

Everybody’s got an opinion, including me. And it sounds like Sunday school would do you some good. Thank you.
