I just saw this(I know I’m a bit late) and I had to reply, in case there are any other people who are immature enough to think this is a good reason to vote for someone.

How dare you risk the future of our country just to be spiteful! How dare you risk the future of my children and grandchildren to stroke your own ego! Do you honestly believe that a president, with the support of congress, can’t seriously damage this country in 4 or 8 years?

I never thought I’d say this…If you are really that self-centered, do those of us who take voting seriously, and not just as a personal revenge tool, a favor and don’t vote at all.

Worse still, the suicide of both print and electronic journalism has ensured that, should Barack Obama be elected president, the public will only then learn what they should have known far earlier about their commander-in-chief — but in circumstances and from sources they may well regret.

Hawaii’s first Constitutional Convention was organized in 1968 to correct problems with state legislative voting districts – and ended up giving public workers the right to strike. Ten years later, the islands’ second ConCon began with no particular agenda, just a feeling in the post-Watergate era that Hawaii’s government needed to be more accountable to its people. Nevertheless, it resulted in 34 separate amendments – more than 1,000 individual changes to Hawaii’s state constitution – that included the addition of the untranslated phrase, “Ua mau ke ea o ka ‘aina i ka pono” in the constitution’s preamble – “The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness.” It was a sweeping victory for Native Hawaiian rights and culture.

The stratification is such that Hawaii today is a state where not all residents can be called Hawaiian. There is no single ethnic majority in the state and only people who are descended from the original inhabitants of the islands are properly called Hawaiians. Residents of Asian, Caucasian, African or other descent are simply called locals. It is the Hawaiians, who made up 21% of the state’s population in 2007 – down from 23% in 2000 – who most vocally oppose a new ConCon, concerned that it would dilute their position in the islands. “People who have achieved about as much as they can achieve don’t want to open it up again,” Burris says. Their allies are the Democratic Party of Hawaii, major unions and environmental organizations. This is what we can expect with Democrats in control, a complete “re-write” of the Constitution. The evidence is in plain view for all to see.

I prefer to support a genuine patriot, who has sacrificed for his nation and has served it faithfully.

As an American, I will recognize Obama as my president if he wins the election on Tuesday. As an American, I will fight every attempt to rewrite our Constitution & Bill of Rights. As an American, it saddens me to see what has happened to our media & entertainment industries. It saddens me to see Americans embrace Socialist thuggery, to be so dumbed-down by our own education system to the point where millions of people are willing to let Government dictate their lives for them.

Individual freedoms; Individual pursuit of human advancement and prosperity; hard work coupled with good work ethic; Individual responsibility for the path chosen…

I will forever hold great disdain for this generation of Democrats who have made it their mission to change America into a country where it’s people look towards government for answers rather than looking towards individual freedom. Open and free markets allow for human advancement, while unleashing free thought & exploration of individual ideas and inventions.

Will Americans look back some day and see “chain migration” as the ultimate killer of our Democracy? Once the tipping point has been reached, our free election system works against our own treasured traditions.

If Obama were older, he might have made it a grand slam by “palling around” with William Z. Foster or, more likely, a college professor close to Foster. Come to think of it, Obama’s first mentor appears to have been the Communist, Frank Marshall Davis.

The most troubling relationship remains the one with Rev. Wright. For while Ayers seems at least to match Wright in the anti-Americanism department, Wright was Obama’s spiritual mentor.

No self-respecting country would elect as president a man who spent 20 years taking spiritual guidance from a pastor who openly hates the country. And no country that loses its self respect can anticipate a bright future. (Powerline)
