Gallup: Obama now leads by 10 among both traditional and “expanded” likely voters

Zog says McCain +1, Gallup says Obama +10, and Rasmussen splits the difference. Whatever happens, someone’s getting their face rubbed in a pile of warm shinola on Wednesday morning. Nate Silver thinks he knows which one it’ll be. We’ll do more of this on Monday, but here’s CNN’s interactive electoral vote feature in case you want to try mapping out scenarios. As things stand, McCain has to take all six toss-up states plus Pennsylvania plus one other state to win.
Let’s enjoy the left’s suffering now, while we can.
“Look, I have this sense of impending doom; we’ve had a couple of elections stolen already,” Mr. Downs said. “The only thing worse than losing is to think that you’re going to win and then lose.”
He considers that prospect and mutters, almost involuntarily, “Oh, God.”…
Ms. Kuhlman shakes her head and says, “If he doesn’t get this, I’ll be crying so hard.”
A young woman, Shana Rosen, walks by. She is from Denver and said she had told her boyfriend that their love life was on hold while she sweated out Mr. Obama’s performance in Colorado. Ask Lucy Slurzberg, an Upper West Side psychotherapist, how many of her liberal patients speak of their electoral fears during their sessions, and she answers: “Oh, only about 90 percent of them.”…
For many liberals, the chance to elect Mr. Obama, who would be the nation’s first black president, gives the United States a second chance to walk across the stage of world history. (Which also makes the possibility of his loss unspeakably more depressing; given his present lead in every poll, many liberals fear that race will explain any defeat.)
I offer you your optimistic metaphor of the day. No explanation necessary.

I saw the same poll earlier and I say what I said then:its hard for me to believe that McCain is only 1 point behaind Obama in California and he is leading in New Jersey.
I believe he is close in Pennsylvania and maybe slighty ahead in Missouri and Ohio but I don’t buyt this poll. Even is nice to read good news from time to time.

FWIW: Tito (”The Builder”) Munoz was on Huckabee tonight. Guys like Tito shame me because I see them and I realize how much more they appreciate the U.S. than I. And I think we live in a great country.
Huckabee’s hammering the tax issue pretty well.

You neglected the Cabernet Sauvignon. How could you go to Ruth’s Chris and not have a bottle of Cabernet with your Filet Mignon? Not to mention the Bombay Sapphire martini appetizer, dry, three olives.
If you’re going to win, win big.

As an Ohioan on the ground, I can confidently say that McCain will win Ohio. Why do you think all of Obama’s surrogates here are pulling out all of the stops? It’s because they know that even with all of the fraud, Ohio is lost for Obama. They are just trying to make it look respectable now.
************************
I see the same thing here in Columbus. The Obama support is well below the Kerry support in 2004.

Hi Manly.. I early voted a couple weeks ago.
I’ve got a couple neighbors who are staunch Dems and have their Obama stickers and signs, (I think they suffer BDS) But there’s 10 X more McCain stuff around than Obama.
This is even after a couple nights of McCain signs mysteriously coming up missing around town.. One thing is for sure down here in Florida, the gun shops are doing huge amounts of business. Saw more people at the gun shops than early voting. (Felons can’t buy guns..)

I don’t think it is going to be that close, where there is registration fraud going on by ACORN, I believe an Army of Lawyers will intervene. This isn’t the state of Illinois where Obama marginalized other Democrats this is the Country U.S.A. he is up against Republicans who have more then a few Lawyers in their ranks too:)

FWIW, I live in a formerly very red area of blue Illinois and I thought I’d be seeing a bunch of Obama signs. Instead, three McCains (mine included) and two Obamas. With a bunch of a local Republican state rep’s signs mixed in. I thought home-town boy would have a bunch more.
Just today, a new McCain sign popped up across the street; could it be a “late decider breaking for McCain”? Hope so.

Yes they are but Obama does not dare to use the term. He tip toes around it. He intends to take only the guns of those against him and not of the democratic workers militias aka the Civilian Security Force.

Not only Hitler did that. Lenin did the same and all the comunists regimes in Eastern Europe started with that kind of paramilitary forces dressed as civilian forces to fight against all those who opposed the party’s rule. We don’t have to look much further than Venezuela, Chavez has his militias too, or Zimbabwe. That’s for I’d like to see one of the tv talking heads trying to explain this.

Obama DOES support infanticide!
Watch these videos and see his actual voting record below and click HERE to hear Obama’s arguement against medical intervention for babies who survive this horrid act
“I suspect that doctors feel that they would be under that obligation, that they would already be making these determinations, and that essentially adding an additional doctor, who then has to be called in an emergency situation to come in and make these assessments, is really designed simply to burden the original decision of the woman and the physician to induce labor and perform an abortion.”
Hear his words, see his record, then you decide who lies and who offends. Despite our views on abortion, certainly we can all agree that babies who survive botched abortions are deserving of medical care. Why doesn’t Obama and why does he lie about his own record?
