Gallup: Obama now leads by 10 among both traditional and “expanded” likely voters

Zog says McCain +1, Gallup says Obama +10, and Rasmussen splits the difference. Whatever happens, someone’s getting their face rubbed in a pile of warm shinola on Wednesday morning. Nate Silver thinks he knows which one it’ll be. We’ll do more of this on Monday, but here’s CNN’s interactive electoral vote feature in case you want to try mapping out scenarios. As things stand, McCain has to take all six toss-up states plus Pennsylvania plus one other state to win.
Let’s enjoy the left’s suffering now, while we can.
“Look, I have this sense of impending doom; we’ve had a couple of elections stolen already,” Mr. Downs said. “The only thing worse than losing is to think that you’re going to win and then lose.”
He considers that prospect and mutters, almost involuntarily, “Oh, God.”…
Ms. Kuhlman shakes her head and says, “If he doesn’t get this, I’ll be crying so hard.”
A young woman, Shana Rosen, walks by. She is from Denver and said she had told her boyfriend that their love life was on hold while she sweated out Mr. Obama’s performance in Colorado. Ask Lucy Slurzberg, an Upper West Side psychotherapist, how many of her liberal patients speak of their electoral fears during their sessions, and she answers: “Oh, only about 90 percent of them.”…
For many liberals, the chance to elect Mr. Obama, who would be the nation’s first black president, gives the United States a second chance to walk across the stage of world history. (Which also makes the possibility of his loss unspeakably more depressing; given his present lead in every poll, many liberals fear that race will explain any defeat.)
I offer you your optimistic metaphor of the day. No explanation necessary.

I was about to tell the Clown that he had a friend in ManlyRash. We should all sing along:
Palin will win, dragging McCain along.
Palin will win, it won’t be very long.

You, as a Romanian, understand the dangers of state control. Continue to tell them, Clemycali.

The image du jour is of our Sarah, dressed in full camouflage, dragging Yosemite Sam’s tired old ass across the finish line.
ManlyRash on November 1, 2008 at 7:05 PM
Yes, yes. But, you know, I have always loved Yosemite Sam. He makes a good villian. I picture McCain as they crotchety old man telling kids to get off his lawn.

Dead squirrels, huh? You know, Rush calls Obama a squirrel…..
HornetSting on November 1, 2008 at 7:12 PM
Very nice, as usual.
HornetSting on November 1, 2008 at 7:13 PM
Correct. If McCain does not win PA, he can still win by keeping those 4 Red, along with NV.
Getting PA, OH, and FL enables McCain to lose CO and VA and still win.
Sapwolf on November 1, 2008 at 7:13 PM
Stay positive guys, ignore Gallup and don’t let them convince you not to vote. Also vote early because I do not trust those damn exit polls.

By the way, I’m at a motel in Lakeland near the Polk City Palin rally here in Fl.
I decided not to sit in the back because it looked like the distance between where the mic was and the back seats was kinda far. I got close up front and got a 5-minute .mov file of Sarah. I also got to shake her left hand (right one had of course a pen for signing. I also got to shake Todd’s hand and thank them. And last, I shook the hand of Governor Crist and thanked him.
Sarah is every bit as attractive closeup as on TV. She also got to hold a very young girl with downs syndrome.
The rest of the day I spent doing phone calls at the Lakeland Victory Office for McCain and will report there at noon tomorrow for duty.
There was a Hillary fan next to me who loved Sarah.

As an Ohioan on the ground, I can confidently say that McCain will win Ohio. Why do you think all of Obama’s surrogates here are pulling out all of the stops? It’s because they know that even with all of the fraud, Ohio is lost for Obama. They are just trying to make it look respectable now.
MobileVideoEngineer on November 1, 2008 at 7:24 PM
I just heard Obambi say that “McCain had no problem getting a mask for Halloween. He went as GWB”. What a moron, with a cadence. Prevent having to listen to that for at least 4 years.

Hat tip to the PUMAs! They have been indefatigable since Hillary lost. They never say ‘uncle’, have no patience whatsoever for eeyores. They have embraced McCain and especially Palin, if you can believe it. Along with Sarah, they have been the bright spots of this campaign.
Who would have thought that Hillary supporters would show more backbone in their support for McCain/Palin than the rouges gallery of “conservative” talking heads?

I gladly gave candy to those who negotiated the minefield successfully.
Once more–America has shown the knack for having the right person for the right time, in any given situation. Even a cursory look back through our history will bear this out. The stumbles (Carter) merely point the correct direction to have taken.
I see no reason for this election to defy this tradition. McCain will prevail.

I realize that we, (here at HA) are of a like mind in this election, and I have to say that almost all my friends, neighbors, etc. are conservatively like minded, so please, for the love of God, can someone explain to me who these people are THAT ARE soooooo enamored of that lying sack of sh*t Obama?? I “get” the losers who want to live life on the dole, but for the polls to reflect these numbers, there must be seemingly “normal” people who want him to win. Are they cave dwellers, or what? Even if you factor in the media, the hatred of Bush, the economy, he’s still the most liberal politician out there, and he’s going to destroy America- why is that going unnoticed by 51% of America?!

For those that have missed Liberal bias on elections:
Here’s a tid bit from Peter Jennings!!
This will pale,in comparison to the Liberal sh#t-fit on
Tuesday when HopeLess loses:
Enjoy!!
Background: Revolution or Temper Tantrum?
In the 1992 election, 258 Democrats were elected to Congress and only 176 Republicans, about the same as in the previous few elections. In 1994, the so-called Republican Revolution took place — a swing of about 100 total votes from Dem to Rep, with 230 GOP Congressmen elected versus only 204 Democrats. Peter Jennings on 11/14/94:
“Some thoughts on those angry voters. Ask parents of any two-year-old and they can tell you about those temper tantrums: the stomping feet, the rolling eyes, the screaming. It’s clear that the anger controls the child and not the other way around. It’s the job of the parent to teach the child to control the anger and channel it in a positive way. Imagine a nation full of uncontrolled two-year-old rage. The voters had a temper tantrum last week….Parenting and governing don’t have to be dirty words: the nation can’t be run by an angry two-year-old.”

rplat on November 1, 2008 at 8:25 PM
Don’t know if it’s been posted yet, but just had another thought about “the polls”. Perhaps it serves another purpose instead of to lower our GOTV effort (or both). Perhaps part of the purpose is to increase the liklihood of civil unrest when McCain wins. I feel almost certain that all the news channels and networks would like nothing better than to bring back the ‘68 riots. With a few outrageous polls saying Obama by 10 or Obama by 15 this late in the game, it would certainly seem to be something to stir the pot in that regard. It would also serve to keep the morons (like the obsessed buy in PA) firmly convinced that this election, McCain landslide that it will be, was also STOLEN.
