Audio: Palin pranked

posted at 8:17 pm on November 1, 2008 by Allahpundit

Clip via Tapper, who has a transcript. Starts off cute, ends with them congratulating her on that Hustler porno Larry Flynt made about her. She handles it as well as anyone could, although the left will seize on the fact that she would have known it was a prank sooner if she had recognized the fake names of the Canadian officials.

Quoth her spokesman, “C’est la vie.”

Yes, the French Canadians are so funny. How about the joke when they gave 10K and citizenship to anyone wishing to move there from the third world as long as they spoke French? That was a good one. Now they are scrambling to support all these people and have them sign off on not calling Jihad on Quebec. That, and Tim Horton’s is making big profits when the terrorist training camps come in early A.M. for Tim Bits and coffee

Wow I work and live in Quebec. I pay 32% taxes (that’s total Federal and Provincial). I make over the $70,000 bracket

I have 5 dollar a day daycare. My cost of living is lower than in neighbouring Ontario. My property tax is lower, my house cost 1/2 of what it would in Ottawa

Do you have your facts straight there bud. If you need evidence I’ll gladly provide.

As a Canadian, I can tell you that Quebec is the most anti-immigrant, anti-semitic, racist province in the country. This is a province that blamed its loss of the 1995 seperation referendum on “immigrants and Jews” to quote their leader at the time. And of course, when Conan O’Brien poked fun at them a couple of years ago, they squealed like a stuck pig. I have nothing but contempt for most of what they stand for. Congratulations on their 15, 5 minutes of fame.

Dave From Canada on November 1, 2008 at 8:47 PM

From a political point of view, this could lead some voters to have a more sympathetic view of Palin.

johnt on November 1, 2008 at 8:48 PM

I think its a real shame that you think crap like this is worth anyone’s time. I mean this honestly.

Of all the things to promote, from the possibility of Democrat control of all three branches of government; to Obama’s illegal immigrant, illegal-contributor aunt; to Rezko and Wright and Khalidi; from a loud, prudent call to get out the vote and what’s at stake if we don’t.

Of all these things, you choose to reinforce the shallow, mind-numbing philosophy of American-Idol-politics.

The only thing that could trump this stupidity is an update pondering what Palin was wearing during the interview.

James OK on November 1, 2008 at 8:49 PM

These Montreal French Canadians are secessionists with stunted mental capacity to reach maturity.

The receptionist in Palin’s office behaved like a rookie volunteer because she did none of the professional protocol procedures of verifying the incoming call number and names prior to shoving the phone into Palin’s hands. It’s difficult to train staff DURING the final blitz of a campaign when they really need to be supporting the candidate, not making the candidate do their job for them. If the receptionist knew the score, she set Palin up on purpose.

You heard Palin’s simple verbal corrections; she was not loud or abusive. The receptionist admitted inadequacy at the onset, “I’m always doing that,” transferring the call too soon before the “official” is on the other line. In conclusion, the receptionist did not put the call on hold when Palin herself terminated her conversation and was correcting the receptionist.

This is for the Palin staff, something I used to tell my subordinates when I was on active duty: “Just because some a**hole say’s it is so, doesn’t make it so”.

Translation: Verify for yourself. Next yahoo that calls claiming to be a world leader of some sort, tell them that the Governor will call them back, I’m sure you as a staff member can get the number on your own and don’t need to ask for it. Stop acting like a bunch of newbies for crying out loud.

Yea, it’ll be all over the MSM. If McCain/Palin lose, I just want to say beforehand that I have been so impressed with her poise, graciousness and good humor. The brutality against her has been as bad as that against President Bush. Yet, neither has ever lashed out or retaliated.

The majority of Americans will never appreciate Pres. Bush or Gov. Palin or why they are heroes to some of us.

I have to say, the accent was so thick, it was tough to tell what they were saying, which is why you barely hear any reaction out of Palin at the most absurd parts, like the reference to the porn “Nailin’ Palin”. She clearly doesn’t even understand what they said, she’s just trying to be nice, and that seems to be the case throughout most of the call. Even if she did think she heard what they said at certain points, you can tell she’s just kind of like “nah, couldn’t be, and I’m not going to embarrass him by calling him out on his poor English”.

The material wasn’t that funny, but it is chuckleworthy that they were able to get through to her.

RightWinged on November 1, 2008 at 9:01 PM

Ah, the Canadian French.

Much like their continetal brethren thay are sawed-off sissies who eat slugs and snails and cheese that smells like peoples’ feet. They fight with their feet and f*ck with their faces. Their women never heard the name Norelco and the only time their bodies come in contact with soap and water is when they wash their diseased genitals in the bidet.

They are cowards who flee in terror at the prospect of any encounter, but they nevertheless bravely force their own children to drink wine and gibber like baboons even when you try to communicate with them in their own wimpy, adenoidal language.

I say: let them have their own nation in Canada and then invite the goose-stepping, beer-swilling Germans to invade them once more.

Other than that, it really wasn’t a funny clip. I prefer the humping robots.

Yes, there are a lot of real jerks out there.

But there a lot of Americans who truly appreciate the energy and determination that Palin has and inspires in us! I remember the announcement when McCain finally named SARAH PALIN as his running mate to become our new Vice President! That wonderful memory is not destroyed by the likes of ugly people. We knew how critics would treat Palin. That has not dampened our support for her as she represents us for our Constitution’s preservation.

The immature, crass and raucous Allahpundit punk threads on HotAir satiate his own sick tastes and signify nothing beyond his reflection on himself as a cynical populist aligned with Jonathan Martin but no candidate and no party.

Canadian Conservatism = RINO Conservatism. You’re hardly a champion of Conservatism because you voted for one. Especially because you seem to love the whole “I pay more tax but get more services line”… congratulations. Then you’ll probably be happy if a leader like Obama takes flight in Quebec so you can pay more and get more in “services”.

grtflmark on November 1, 2008 at 9:22 PM

Worth reading:; forget this nonsense and VOTE.

THE PATH TO VICTORY FOR McCAIN IS IN OUR HANDS
The media polls are heavily weighted towards Democrats in terms of Party ID. With that kind of heavy weighting, it would be impossible for McCain to show any lead even if he had a small led among independents. For example, Rasmussen currently assumes the following party id break down: Democrats 40%, Republicans 32.8%, and Independents 27.2%. He is assuming a whopping 7 percent advantage in party id for the Democrats. This is a big barrier to overcome in these polls. If we assume a 85% Democrat support for Obama and 85% Republican support for McCain and a 50/50 breakdown among independents (ignore undecided and third party candidates) this would translate to a poll finding of 52.5% for Obama and 47.5% for McCain which incidentally gives the same 5% spread as in the current Rasmussen poll.

Note that all of this is simply from the 7% party id advantage. If we reduce the party id spread to 3%, the numbers would change to 51% for Obama and 49% to McCain. Now if we assume that McCain picks off more Democrats than Obama does Republicans, 85% Democrats for Obama and 90% Republicans for McCain then the outcome will be 49.3% for Obama and 50.7% for McCain, a clear LEAD.

What this simple analysis shows is that there are two crucial things for McCain victory:

a) HIGH Republican turnout.

b) HIGH PUMA (Democrats against Obama) turnout.

I strongly believe that both are very achievable. It all comes down to TURNOUT, GOTV, and ENTHUSIASM. This is why Obama and his media acolytes are working overtime to demorialize and suppress the turnout among Republicans and PUMAs. We have to keep working hard, ignore their propaganda, and get out and vote.

One final thing. Rasmussen has been steadily increasing his Dem party id advantage over the last three months. I suspect the same with other pollsters working for major media news organizations. However, the Republican base and the PUMAs are as energized as the Dem base and may in fact be even more energized. In addition to this, if last minute deciders go overwhelmingly against Obama as happened during the Democratic primaries in the swing states, McCain should win by an even bigger margin. The media and their pollsters are in for a huge surprise.

From an ex-Democrat turned independent supporting McCain/Palin ’08.

James OK on November 1, 2008 at 9:24 PM

No it comes down to math

If I were paying daycare in Ontario my cost would be higher than the total raise in taxes when living in Quebec. I made a aound financial decision.

My house cost 1/2 of what it would have cost in Ontario. I got more house for a better price, and a price I can afford. Again, a better financial decision.

I wait a total of about ten minutes if I take my kid to hospital out patient, or I take him to my family doctor if it’s for something less critical (a boy with a splinter under his big toe is an emergency {BTW The toenail got removed and it was horrfic])

So by being fiscally responsible, looking at what the better options available were. By saving money and being able to put away money for my families future…I’m what again.

My property taxes are lowe than Ontario

Health Services…My company covers that ….I think it’s about $300 a year

Prescription insurance is covered by the above…that mean prescription cost about 1/3 of what they do in Ontario

Yes there is GST PST I factor it in. It’s not a really big deal it doesn’t apply to food. (unless junk)

As for the rest it’s cost of living. Well I’ll use a real simple example that I’m sure we will all understand

Cost of a 24 in Ontaeio $45.00
Cost of a 24 in Quebec 22.00

And yes that cost saving applies across the board (clothes, food, etc)

It simply cheaper to live here.

And last time I checked no one is waiting in lines for daycare. Good god they come to your door asking if you want to sign up.

Yeap……………. it’s going to be a big case of

“what the fu%k happened? …………. we had it in the bag? ……… we stole this election fair and square? ……….. all of Soro’s money,…… the finally timed economic collapse,…….. the bail out bill,… the multi-million dollar non-stop advertising campaign,…. ACORN and fradulent voter registrations,….. the Media in our back pocket,………. the movie “W”,……… all the polls we scewed,……….. all the lies we had to remember,………. 14,000 attorneys,………. we sealed all of his records,……… HOW THE FU%K DID THIS HAPPEN?????”

The American Citizens who still believe in Personal Responsibility, Capitalism, Liberty, Less Government, the ability to keep and spend the Money that they Worked for on their families and their futures, and don’t want to answer your polls or get into a public shouting match with idiots who wouldn’t know the truth about Obama if it was sitting on their face…………… and the people who believe in Faith, Family, and Country.

That’s how it’s going to happened…………..

20,000 people in Raleigh tonight to see Sarah! I was there. I asked 3 different policemen and got confirmation of 20,000 from two. The other said 24,000. It was AWESOME!

SouthernGent on November 1, 2008 at 9:41 PM

By saving money and being able to put away money for my families future…I’m what again.

harry on November 1, 2008 at 9:25 PM

You are probably the first – and only – person from Quebec that would claim they have a low tax rate. Cause pal, it ain’t true. The Quebec government bends you over each paycheque and makes you take it for “l’etat”.

Sounds like you don’t mind it — that’s your choice…. just like it is ours to laugh at idiots like you who pay lots of tax b) celebrate “tax and spend” Liberalism while making claims about all the money you are saving…

… also, the reason your house was so cheap: because most people move to English Canada because your taxation rates are so high that it drives out businesses and good workers — but sounds to me like you are a government drone so you’re happy in your little socialist mecca… enjoy….

harry on November 1, 2008 at 9:25 PM

And frankly, if you really wanted to “look at what the better options” were, you’d move to Alberta where, as I understand, things are booming, the taxation is low, Conservative values are high and there is a need for skilled workers…. something tells me that you love that cubicle and $5/day daycare too much to move….

Funny that you are such a “Conservative” since you voted for one, but you’re happy to stay in the same socialist state versus taking your skills to a province where you could keep more of what you earn and decide for yourself and your family what is best for you as opposed to having the Quebec government do that.

But again, Canadian Conservatism: RINO Conservatism… and in Quebec it’s even more diluted…. more like Pelosi Conservatism… which, being non-existent, means you aren’t one. (A Conservative that is)

I doubt it I was in Tampa last week and I never met one vocal McCain supporter.

1. Personal Responsibility, Capitalism, Liberty, Less Government. (nah all they were talking about was bailouts for the rich, and the growth of government under Bush….the whole idea of limited government under a Respublican government was actually laughed at.

If conservatives would actually admit that under Bush they pretty well gave up the ship they’d have a chance. As it stands the real conservatives are leaving in droves.

Don’t kid yourself…..

And you’re an expert in conservative values, are you? Mr. “Please Tax Me More So I Don’t Have to Pay for Services”. Give me a break.

Get lost you lefty troll.

Republican on November 1, 2008 at 9:49 PM

You know, here is my take. We are 3 days from the election and many conservatives, especially FIRST time voters are looking for a reason to stand in line for 3 hours to vote. Its plastered all over the news the length of these lines.

Many of these conservatives go to conservative websites for reasons to stand in those lines. To belong to a united community bound by one goal. To elect McCain/reject Obama.

When Allah posts Rasmussen has Obama by 40 or Gallup has Obama 90/10 it doesnt help these people. I myself plan to vote no matter what but when I saw that post I ALMOST just said the heck with it, its over. But I ran to other sites that do nothing but give good news and energize the base and thats what keeps me going.

At Aces place Allah posted something to the effect of “If I post that Obama is up by 10 isn’t that more of a reason to go out and vote?”. When I read that I think Allah really needs to get out and talk to people more. No, they will not get out and vote. Especially in states that are traditionally blue that might be leaning red.

In conclusion, I really wish he would stop being the bad cop to Eds good cop, because I usually see that Allahs posts are followed up with a positive Ed post that almost looks like hes typing as he is sneering at Allah at the other side of the room.

No and I’ve never tried to be, you threw out a few insults and I backed up my responses with facts and real life experience. You offered nothing in reply but insults and poor quips.

I don’t think I rise to the level of Troll…you OTOH.

Well done, SG. Now get to work. Get out the vote. Call family, friends and neighbors. Send out emails. Stand up and fight. You are our boots on the ground in NC. Make it happen!

Whoever has led this amateur hour around Gov Palin needs to be named. I don’t want to see these morons on TV passing themselves off as analysts or experts after what they have done to her.

I thought it was funny.

When we first heard it, we assumed that the callers were mentioning fake names, but we couldn’t understand him through the accent.

And if it had been Sarkozy she would have been rude to correct him anyway.

I thought she sounded genuinely nice.

Umm I live in Quebec. The only reason I responded was the totally baseless insults against a whole province full of good hard working people.

As for my views regarding visiting the US last week I’m only stating what I saw and heard.

It’s like the conservative party before Jean C got elected in Canada. There was a denial that it could be that bad and then all of sudden it was.

All I see now is conseravives blaming each other and or Obama for the mess.

Maybe it’s the messaage?
