Video: The obligatory “man wires campaign sign to shock thieves” clip

posted at 9:50 pm on October 30, 2008 by Allahpundit

A rare case of the book being better than the movie. Sample quote: “They were troubled, she said, that someone had apparently decided to claim the corner on behalf of the Republican Party.” In an article chuck full o’ weirdness — note the description of the guy shocking himself in front of the reporter — surely the weirdest part is this: He Tivo’d the kid getting caught in the act.

Which is not to suggest this is the weirdest story out there about people flipping out over signs. Not by a long, long, long shot. Click the image to watch.

Instead of vandalizing the neighborhood, that kid be home playing with his Transformers, or maybe Guitar Hero (AC/DC, of course).

Oops: “that kid should be home”

Least of These on October 31, 2008 at 9:38 AM

That kid needs to be insulated from politics.

Lol. Great idea.

modnar on October 31, 2008 at 10:02 AM

Lib parents are shown to be the irresponsible people they are. Send the kid to a job his parents should be doing.

Obviously, this kids parents have no problem endangering their child, imagine how bad it can get it you allow them to rule your life too.

The kid really needs to be insulated from his parents.

MSGTAS on October 31, 2008 at 10:04 AM

That kids just needs to insulated ‘period’

johnnyU on October 31, 2008 at 10:11 AM

I’d have put a bunch of dog crap around there. Let the little stinker smell the part too.

johnnyU on October 31, 2008 at 10:15 AM

I’ll bet he is amped up

grapeknutz on October 31, 2008 at 10:50 AM

Yeah, like a 9 year old boy even knows who Obama IS without his parents telling him what to do. His PARENTS got him the Obama sign, his PARENTS told him to go vandalize the McCain sign, his PARENTS are too chickensh!t to do the dirty work themselves, so they put their KID up to it. Great life lesson for the kid, what wonderful freaking parents he has.

JustTruth101 on October 31, 2008 at 10:54 AM

JustTruth, Would you expect Obama supporters to risk something to get benefits from Senator Government?

What amused me is that the cops saw what a liar the parents are, and would not press charges.

To bad they didn’t taser the scumbag dad.

Right_of_Attila on October 31, 2008 at 11:01 AM

This is absurd, you can’t even vandalize properties without getting shocked now a days! lol.

gr8inferno on October 31, 2008 at 11:15 AM

Thank you, pistolero.

mikeyboss on October 31, 2008 at 11:19 AM

I love this story…and yes, I’ve watched the video at least 5 times.

I’m still thinking maybe rubbing the signs down with raw chicken would be a good idea.

(Ok…i don’t really mean it. But it’s a good idea.)

tickleddragon on October 31, 2008 at 11:27 AM

And to be in Chapel Thrill… fantastic.

I won’t even GO there during election cycles.

tickleddragon on October 31, 2008 at 11:28 AM

Whats is a juice-box?

aengus on October 31, 2008 at 1:31 AM

Just what it says. You see kids drinking out of them all the time. However, I was getting into the punning spirit: juice-box.

baldilocks on October 31, 2008 at 12:23 PM

That jolt probably shook the mites from that child’s hair.

Black Adam on October 31, 2008 at 12:42 PM

Cue Olby and his “GOP Thugs Mercilessly Electrocute Defenseless Child” clips.

Ryan Gandy on October 31, 2008 at 2:04 PM

This kids parents need their f**king teeth kicked in while the kid watches and learns a lesson.

Liberals are scum sucking intolerant losers.

A hungry pitbull would also come in handy.
