Now I’ll be bummed out if McCain/Palin loses, because McCain has shown so much character in these last few days, and leans conservative, and Sarah is just so awesome. It will be very disappointing. They both really are reformers, and they would do so much to kick Washington in the ass.

Actually, I’d wager Fey’s remarks just moved several thousand votes – maybe more – to McCain/Palin. If as many people base their votes on the casual remarks of celebrities as we think they do, little things like this have real effects in the booth.

There are plenty of other valid reasons to criticize her. I have never understood the need to mock physical appearence. Perhaps you could explain the value added to the McCain election effort by doing it. ??

I’ve always liked her and thought she was hilarious — very naturally funny, unlike many comedians.

And I have no proof, but I’m almost positive that when she said “I can’t do that for four years. I mean I’m leaving Earth,” she was talking about her career.

Between 30 Rock and SNL, she’s literally working like 120 hours a week right now.

Part of Tina Fey’s class on Conan is because the head of a show sets the tone, and Conan is very classy. Just like the heads of Hot Air set the tone here. Ed is just awesome. Very strong. He writes posts just as I would, except better. Facts, well-composed, good narrative, continuous emotional thread. Just top notch. And AP, he’s awesome too, but kind of dark, and off-beat. A little uneven. And Michelle. She’s just really hot. So Hot Air is strong, off-beat, and really hot. And Tina Fey was respectful because Conan is respectful. The leader sets the tone.
