Sarah Palin is really fascininating to me. I like her a lot, and I’m not afraid of her, but I can start to empathize with people who do are, and I don’t mean that in a trash-talking kind of way.

I think you might both be right, actually.

Sarah Palin is really fascininating to me. I like her a lot, and I’m not afraid of her, but I can start to empathize with people who do, and I don’t mean that in a trash-talking kind of way.

In this quote she shows enormous political talent the way she answers the question with literally no hesitation and yet comes up with the perfect response. That is an enormous amount of power that in the hands of someone who didn’t have good intentions at heart, would be pretty freaking scary.

Combine that with 8 years of telling themselves “KKKarl Rove and Dick Cheney are planning to put us away into camps” and you can see the fear.

Even if you aren’t ordinarily paranoid about things, if you sense that she has this talent and are worried about her ultimate motives, I can see why it would be unnerving.

a) You, because voting against her, would keep her out of the limelight.

b) The conservative/Republican/military/war hawk vote.

c) The truther vote.

d) If in doubt about any “remaining voting matrix”, refer to a)

Whizzman, considering the amount of froth you spew everytime someone posts something vaguely critical of your candidate, you’re the last person that needs to lecture anyone about being rational. Go sit in the quiet room and let the grown ups talk.

Kinda funny…all the abuse of power shenanigans going on by Obama supporters (state employees, media, ect) just to get him elected, and no one cares. It’s all just part of the game. But there are still people who think George Bush has a crew of ninjas on standby to kill Americans only, and Dick Cheney has his x-box that can remote pilot cruise missiles that look like airplanes. And that’s 20% of our population believes some version of that garbage. Barking mad these people are.

Well AP, either Palin’s answer was a noob answer like you suggest, or perhaps it was a machiavelian masterstroke. Think about it, by answering as she did she completely disarmed and turned the truther’s question around. He couldn’t shout at her that she was covering up because she said yes to a new investigation. He also can’t claim that she believes as he does because she stated her reasons, and they are different from the truthers. She pwned him.

The next day, I overheard him saying it again, so I yelled form the next room “Dude, what the **** do you think they use to melt steel, water?”

A round of laughter later, I didn’t have to listen to that particular line of BS again.

Though I almost slugged the SOB when he went off on “Jewish bankers.”

Paulnut, if you hadn’t guessed. The only other Paulnut on the gig was pretty much the same way, only lazy and incompetent and subsequently unemployed shortly thereafter.

So, after her initial response, she asks the guy, compassionately, if he was affected by 9/11 and he went into his talking points, at which time she gracefully blows him off.

So why is this blog worthy?

She did handle it really well. I might prefer Bill Clinton’s reaction to the troofers from last winter, but to keep things positive at a campaign rally, Palin couldn’t have done much better. She is extremely impressive.

Only one question for all you Truthers out there. Why ain’t you dead? If Bush could pulloff the 9/11 thing he shouldn’t have any trouble getting Jason Bourne out of retirement to off all you pesky peckerwoods to keep things quiet.
