Former ACORN employee: Obama’s campaign gave us his donor list

Eh. She was fired for charging personal expenses to a company credit card, now she’s testifying against them in court. And as Ace notes, Team Barry’s donor list is guarded like a nuclear secret. Bloomberg called it “the most powerful tool in American politics” earlier this year. The reason (well, part of the reason) they haven’t revealed those mysterious small donors of theirs despite the mounting criticism of them for being nontransparent is because they want to keep this info as close to the vest as possible. Would they really hand it off to ACORN?
One possible explanation for why they might: Surely not every small contributor who’s kicked in cash to The One is registered. ACORN could turn cash into votes by using the list to send people out to sign up donors who aren’t. Although, in that case, why wouldn’t Team Barry just do it themselves with their army of volunteers? Seems cheaper and easier than outsourcing the task if the price is sharing the holy grail of Democratic politics.
Anita Moncrief, a former Washington, D.C. staffer for Project Vote, which she described as a sister organization of ACORN, said her supervisor told her the list of campaign contributors came from the Obama campaign. Moncrief said she has a copy of a “development plan” that outlines how Obama contributors who had “maxed out” under federal contribution limits would be targeted to give to Project Vote, and that it was her job to identify such contributors…
An Obama campaign spokeswoman last week had said the campaign has “no ties” to ACORN.
Moncrief, 29, who now lives in Virginia, also said that she had taken a call from an Obama campaign worker inquiring whether it was the same organization Obama had worked with in the 1990’s.
Moncrief said she had received repeated warnings to “back off” from testifying today by people she knows at ACORN.
Staffers from the Obama campaign had no better way of finding out if he’d worked for ACORN than by calling up and saying, “Did Obama work for you?”
This is interesting, though, and would explain the volume of bogus registrations:
Moncrief said she came forward and contacted Heidelbaugh because she believes low-income vote canvassers were not trained and then were “thrown under the bus”– facing criminal prosecution — for frauduent registrations. She said there were quotas of voter registration forms for workers and that some were fired for not meeting them.
“The (voter) cards are tied to money. The more cards you get the more money you get,” Moncrief said.
Elsewhere, though, she admitted she has no firsthand knowledge of how they interview people. Hmmm.
That’s too dour a note to end on, so via the ‘Busters, here’s ACORN’s organizer in chief proving once again how nonpartisan the group is. Note all the nutroots all-stars namechecked.

How soon will she be destroyed by the media?

Seems I recall Obie deflecting accusations of Acorn connections, by saying ‘not Acorn, but Project Vote.’
Am I wrong ??

What people never mention is that 95% of all voter fraud FAVORS THE DEMOCRATS.
Honestly – can anybody name a case of mass Republican voter fraud?

The saddest thing about this Obamercial tonight is that it is as slick as he is.
He knows that juuuuuuuust enough of the American electorate is fat, dumb, and lazy Jerry Springtards and that this little “tv show” will tie him into a neat little harmless package in the alloted twenty two minutes.
They will have their orgasm and go back to sleep.
GAME OVER.

Another multi-decade relationship down the drain…
Gohawgs on October 29, 2008 at 4:47 PM
That right there says it all. Paying “volunteers” to register as many people as possible? You might as well just tell them to cheat because that’s what you’re implying with the monetary reward.
LastRick on October 29, 2008 at 4:48 PM
these people make me so mad i want to see them all taken out and shot for treason . voter fraud undermines the very fabric of out nation and should be = to treason
Mojack420 on October 29, 2008 at 4:49 PM
So what’s going to happen with all the bogus registrations?
Mcguyver on October 29, 2008 at 4:50 PM
Again the focus is on the wrong thing. ACORN registering the dead isnt as much the problem as the democratic party funneling money to workers to get their votes and other votes.
Its unabashed vote buying.

Right on video, a “government” supported organization, whose leader is calling to vote for Obama.
What more is there, using our money to promote a specific candidate.
Oh, yeah, she is a real political genius.

Can we get that under oath!
Btw,Hannity had some news guy on,around the

was about 175 different off-shoots of
ACORN!!

I think they were asking if Project Vote was the organization Obama worked for, not ACORN. Although, we have since come to find out that they are one and the same.
Rick on October 29, 2008 at 4:57 PM
What hannity said is true in that there are multiple groups like ACORN all getting money from the democrats.
William Amos on October 29, 2008 at 4:57 PM
I can see why a conservative group would fire her for that, but ACORN? Are they kidding?

Even though Team Barry is happy to use ACORN to their advantage, even they would recognize how incompetent and corrupt the organization is. The idea that they would hand over something so valuable to a bunch of imbeciles is a little hard to swallow.

That would explain Ed Rendell’s rantings – they may not be able to get enough fraudulent votes to swing PA for Barry.

Bin Laden’s cave address is on that list along with his donation. I’m sure the Islamic Obama family members living in huts over in Africa would never invite Barack Hussein over for another Qwansa if that got out.

I could see Barry not giving the list to Hillary’s team. They would note very quickly that many names were fake, or had contributed over the maximum legal limit, and would cry foul over the primaries – and very publicly, too.
Vashta.Nerada on October 29, 2008 at 5:31 PM
I think my favorite story about them relates to this:
Money flows back and forth between ACORN, Citizens Services Inc., Project Vote and Communities Voting Together. ACORN posts job ads for Citizens Services and Project Vote. Communities Voting Together contributed $60,000 to Citizens Services Inc., for example, in November 2005, according to a posting on CampaignMoney.com. Project Vote has hired ACORN and CSI as its highest paid contractors, paying ACORN $4,649,037 in 2006 and CSI $779,016 in 2006, according to Terry of the Consumers Rights League.
Right now you’re probably picturing some nice office space that’s used as the headquarters to dole out all that money, right? This is the shack that houses these organizations (and others) in their New Orleans location, at 1024 Elysian Fields.
Their tax liens had to have been worth more than the house:

These people are foot soldiers in Obama’s civilian army, and he wants us taxpayers to fund groups like these in dollar amounts to rival the military.
Not kidding.

A couple points of order:
- While the names, occupations and zip codes of the big donors are public knowledge, the actual contact information is not.
- According to the article/testimony, the plan was to tap the maxed-out donors to donate to ACORN/Project Vote.
- The reason why the Obama staffer asked the question is there are multiple Project Votes out there.

So ACORN registered Mary T Biskup 73 times?
andycanuck on October 29, 2008 at 7:40 PM
Any of this would have sunk the McCain campaign. The problem is, independent voters are either too ignorant too apathetic to care. People just don’t care. Obama shouldn’t even be the DNC nominee with his appalling track record. People JUST DON’T CARE. The only ones who care are the people who are going to get screwed this election.
There should be some sort of test to vote. You should at least have to name the 3 main branches of government and all 4 candidates.
Amy Proctor on October 29, 2008 at 8:16 PM
Is 0bama on the ballot twice in New York? Didn’t the Supreme Court rule that fusion of votes were not allowed? It would be great if this screwed him out of New York.

Vote for Obama on the Working Families Party line?
Is he on the ballot more than once there? I thought that practice was outlawed?
CP on October 29, 2008 at 10:19 PM
Apparently, NY still allows fusion ballots. Here’s a candidate list document from the NYC Board of Elections – Page 3 has the President/Vice President List.
McCain/Palin are listed for the Republican, Independence, and Conservative Party lines and Obama/Biden for the Democrat and Working Families lines.

Where the hell is the FEC and the IRS. The Leftists, anti-America and anti-Church crowd are all filing complaints within minutes when a Catholic bishop voices his opinion w/o giving an endorsement. Here is a ‘non-profit’, taxpayer funded criminal organization that is, by law, supposed to remain ‘non-partisan’ in order to receive actual dollars.
WHO GETS PAID TO INVESTIGATE THESE PEOPLE AND WHY AREN’T THEY DOING THEIR JOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!
