Ali Abunimah – Ali Abunimah is a Palestinian American and board member of the Chicago-based Arab American Action Network (AAAN).

In 2001 and 2002, the Woods Fund of Chicago, whose board of directors included Barack Obama, made grants totaling $75,000 to Abunimah’s AAAN.

“He was very supportive of U.S. pressure on Israel.” “Barack Obama used to be very comfortable speaking up for and being associated with Palestinian rights and opposing the Israeli occupation.”

In March 2007 Abunimah alleged, with displeasure, that Obama had become more sympathetic to Israel in recent years. Said Abunimah: “If disappointing, given his historically close relations to Palestinian-Americans, Obama’s about-face is not surprising. He is merely doing what he thinks is necessary to get elected and he will continue doing it as long as it keeps him in power.”

Marilyn Katz – An aide to then-Chicago mayor Harold Washington from 1983-87, Marilyn Katz is currently a public relations professional who serves on Barack Obama’s national finance committee. In 2005, Katz and the longtime Marxist and Obama supporter Carl Davidson co-authored the book Stopping War, Seeking Justice.

Katz has long been acquainted with Obama supporter and former Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers. In April 2008 Katz told the Chicago Sun-Times that she had first met Ayers when he was a 17-year-old fellow member of Students for a Democratic Society, “a peaceful group from which the Weather Underground splintered.”

Dorothy Tillman – From 1984 to 2006, Democrat Dorothy Tillman was an alderman (City Council member) in Chicago’s largely black Third Ward. Well known for her revealed record of municipal corruption, her uncompromising views on race, and her professed anti-Americanism, she is a longtime friend of Barack Obama.

During her time in elected politics, Tillman became the leading — and arguably most acerbic — proponent of reparations for slavery. Claiming that America remains “one of the cruelest nations in the world when it comes to black folks,” Tillman continues to declare that the U.S. “owes blacks a debt.”

In 2004 Tillman was among the politicians whose backing of Obama’s U.S. Senate run helped the latter win the vote in Chicago’s predominantly black wards. In 2005 Tillman was an honored guest at a lecture by Louis Farrakhan, whom she praised as a patron of the community.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – A federal judge in Ohio has ruled that counties must allow homeless voters to list park benches and other locations that aren’t buildings as their addresses.
