What a total moron. Our struggle with the Soviet's was one based on mutual destruction. Iran will give nuclear material to the Palestinians and they will deploy it against Israel. The Soviet's were never that kind of threat.

Be careful not to underestimate Obama. He is a wolf–but he’s not a stupid wolf. He’s the alpha in that group, make no mistake about that. But, as you pointed out, like any other wolf, if the right buttons are pushed, instinct takes over and you see the inner wolf come out.

Matt Helm on October 28, 2008 at 5:14 PM

Quite. Something tells me that even if he loses, this won't be the last we see of Barack Obama. He likely won't run for President again, but I don't see him sitting back with Algor, Slick Willie, and Lurch - I mean John Kerry Who Served in VietNam - and just offering running commentary.

She is that…good…looking.

ex-Democrat on October 28, 2008 at 4:48 PM

I am starting to believe that this is why the flat-chested Ivy League girls despise her so much. I didn't believe it at first, but it's getting really obvious.

They have spent their lives dismissing attractive women as bimbos, but that doesn't work with Palin. She's married, has five kids, a hunk husband who wins snowmobile races in the Arctic (wtf?!), a Downs Syndrome child, she's a Governor and her constituents seem quite fond of her.

We can't imagine the hate.

Duct tape, WD-40, and Barbed Wire will fix anything.

Actually, some 3 in 1 oil and some gauze pads....and some ball bearings would be better.

Ball bearings?

Yeah, everything runs on ball bearings these days.

And its when that instinct takes over that you see just how dangerous he is. This is why you’re not seeing too much of him outside of carefully choreographed and controlled venues.

Exactly. The teleprompter is his leash. His staff is his collar. The Media is his trainer. He goes nowhere without all three, if he can help it, because to do otherwise provokes Panic Mode.

His buttons need to get pushed one or two more times…

Matt Helm on October 28, 2008 at 5:01 PM

At worst, I'm sure we'll see pure unbridled Obama-sama after his defeat next week.

Rush made the same point last week. He thought so too at first but came to realize that O’s radical idealogy was developed first and then he went to Chicago to seek out like minds.

A lot of people are making the mistake of assuming that Obama is the puppet and not the puppet-master. I hate to invoke Godwin here, but von Papen and the Weimar right made that same mistake regarding Adolf Hitler. Obama is very much his own man and he does have a plan and we're not going to like it.

Obama-sama is like a trained wolf. It has natural wit and cunning, and can be taught some tasks, but it isn’t suprisingly intelligent on its own and when instinct takes over there’s not much you can do but tug on the leash until it backs down.

And its when that instinct takes over that you see just how dangerous he is. This is why you’re not seeing too much of him outside of carefully choreographed and controlled venues. His buttons need to get pushed one or two more times…

Obama gets 58% of the vote per IBD/TIPP. Can someone (seriously) explain to me why he is getting so much of the Jewish vote? I’m clueless about it.

Dennis Pragar spells it out in his book "Think a Second Time". Basically it is so entrenched in the culture, that to vote anything but democrat is all but unthinkable. Often you would have to give up your family. He explains it from his Jewish point of view. He is disheartened because the conservatives values so much mirror the Jewish values...but the are faithful to a fault to the democrat party.
I don't get it, but then I am Irish...

I used to think Obama was an apprentice but ex-Democrat on October 28, 2008 at 4:45 PM

Rush made the same point last week. He thought so too at first but came to realize that O's radical idealogy was developed first and then he went to Chicago to seek out like minds.

But I second your observation. - Mr_Magoo on October 28, 2008 at 4:40 PM

For a writer I spell perfectly (except when I commit typographical misdemeanors) only because I am a consummate wordsmith.

"GAWD" is an intentional literation of a colloquial expression that encompasses a perfectly balanced combination of reverence, admiration, astonishment and pure, feral, lust.

Consider yourself chastised and educated.

Matt Helm on October 28, 2008 at 4:50 PM

Thanks. Appreciate the input.

Now I can get back to the "Sarah is hot" posts! :-)

Speaking of which, I saw a tape on Greta months ago where they interviewed Sarah after The First Dude won his snow machine race. She was about 30 then. OMG. Her face was flush from the cold and... yikes.
