A veteran’s service should be taken in context and weighed honestly. John Glenn was an able pilot and pioneer astronaut, but it didn’t keep him from becoming a low Democrat party yes-man as a senator. And don’t even get me started about JFK or the worst veteran/politician of them all; Jimmah.

…don’t go so far as to doubt his service…that’s real…just don’t read into it….

…after all, Tim McVeigh served honorably in the Gulf…John Walker served in the Navy…Hitler served honorably in the trenches…Idi Amin was quote the go-getter in the King’s African Rifles…and, of course, Benedict Arnold served well and bravely at Saratoga….

…service isn’t the issue. Give him that. The thing is that life and accountability don’t end when you get your DD214. There are all sorts of folks in uniform, good and bad…loyal and disloyal…fair and foul.

…don’t forget that Murtha served…he seems to have, but we shouldn’t. Give him that at least…along with his walking papers.

Just saw a piece on Murtha on Brit’s show on Fox. In it Murtha is talking to a reporter and he calls Russell a G_D carpet bagger in full anger mode and red faced.
Here is my question media. I continually hear about how McCain is supposed to have a temper, he is a loose cannon just waiting to go off, and I have never seen that through this whole campaign, even though he has had plenty of reason to be angry, so will you tell us about how what an angry old man Murtha is and foul mouthed to boot?

Why are they shocked that a Dem seat might be in play? Murtha’s said some stupid things, and the Dem congress only has a 12% approval rating.
More seats should be vulnerable not less.
We’re being subjected to a massive psy-op by the Obamabots. Just check Hillbuzz. The Obamabots flooding the polls, especially the online ones, in an effort to skew the polls and demoralize us. They are trying to actively suppress the Republican/Conservative vote by making the election seem like its a done deal and all is lost. Its not, and we can actually win.

Time to not only put a nail in the coffin of Murtha’s political career but also a chance to rattle some cages nationally against the Dems.
We need a commercial which starts by showing the statements made by Murtha, against the Marines, the racist and the redneck comments and then make the point that this is somebody the Democrats feel worthy of protecting by rushing to his rescue.

Murtha’s campaign dismissed the ad Tuesday.

“If Republican William Russell wants to accept help from George Bush, that’s his choice,” Murtha spokesman Matt Mazonkey said. “We choose to talk about the issues that matter in this campaign, and I think the voters know the difference between a mouthpiece of the Bush administration and Mr. Murtha, who is fighting hard for the people of western Pennsylvania.”
