Exclusive premiere: VFF ad goes after Murtha

Vets for Freedom has a new ad out attacking John Murtha, which will go live on their website tomorrow and into Pennsylvania homes this evening. VFF gave Hot Air an exclusive look at the spot, and it’s terrific:
The ad hits Murtha for his repeated smears of the Marines in Haditha. Rather than wait for an investigation and a court-martial to determine what happened, Murtha pronounced the accused Marines of war crimes, as the clip shows. Why? He opposed the war and tried to exploit the Haditha tragedy for political purposes. That’s about as craven as it gets, and the collapse of the charges against the Marines involved demonstrate Murtha’s culpability.
VFF uses a good tone in this spot. They could have really waved the bloody shirt, but instead stuck to the facts and kept the hyperbole out. “Duty and honor should always come before politics,” one veteran states, and the ad notes that Murtha used to understand that — as a former Marine himself.
In any normal cycle, and without pork distorting the electoral process, Murtha’s behavior on this issue would be disqualifying for re-election. As it is, this may yet be secondary to Murtha’s accusing his constituents of being racists.

gallup has it at 2 pts. Stock market up 5% today. massive amount of money being pumped into the system as we speak. home sales are up. Consumer confidence hit a 41 yr low which means it can only go up from here. McCain may be able to pull this thing out. The socialist message is catching on and Obama is bleeding support. His speech on wed just got more important.
McCain has made this a rich/poor issue not a rich/middle class issue. If McCain can keep it on a rich/poor issue McCain wins the middle class vote because middle class people do not think of themselves as poor. Still a lot of undecideds. Puma’s lying to pollesters, and the bradley effect. Obama is running out of money and McCain has saved his for a final push into the election.

He’ll be re-elected riding the crest of the Obama tsunami drowning America. My disillusion with the electorate mounts each day with the realization that we will witness on a national scale what took place here in Massa-2-shites with the election of Duval Patrick. The same dynamics are at work, the same race baiting BS, the same media bias and the same portrayal of the Republicans as mean spirited champions of business and the rich, not ordinary folks. I also think we’ve reached the tipping point where there are more folks in the wagon than pulling the wagon.
Have another well shaken can of warm pork soda to go with that shit burger!

Yes amazing. The dems have thought they have been winning for the last 2 weeks. In that time we have heard them talk about another $300b spending bill for poor people, they want to take our 401k and Ira, cut miltary spending by 25%, willhave an international crisis in 6 months which they will screw up, talk of changing our consitution, a 2nd bill of rights, redistrube income.
So in two weeks they have said and done all this. What damage can they do in 2 years?

Is there any doubt? There would be an immediate DOJ civil rights investigation, and the person responsible would be charged with a hate crime, among other things. It would also get full-time media coverage in every market, and be used as yet another example of Republican RACISM. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would set up camp in front of all the media cameras at the home, and arrange protests and boycotts of anybody remotely connected to the thing.
But hey, since it’s just a woman (and a Republican one at that), who cares? It’s all in fun, right?

Come to think of it, ask any Democrat or even Obama to name one foreign enemy of our country. They can’t do it. But ask them to name “enemies” and they will all be our own military, the middle class, the corporations, and Republicans.
That Murtha attacks his own is proof of human depravity and the ability to lie, cheat, and steal for personal gain. Why can’t Democrats even open their eyes to human nature and realize that if Murtha hates us merely because he is self-serving and greedy for power, then possibly other entities can hate us for the same reason? And it has nothing to do with “America is Evil” but everything to do with a lust for power and influence.
People are people, but Murtha is a Mutha.
Joan of Argghh on October 28, 2008 at 3:42 PM

I just got off the phone with a rather testy and curt employee of Mr. Murtha’s and she was none to happy to hear from me.
I asked her if Mr. Murtha were ever going to apologize for his smear against the Marines [she corrected me, as I had called them soldiers], and she responded that Mr. Murtha will not comment while he case is ongoing. This little dance went on for a few minutes, while she became more and more testy. She stated that the case can be brought back against three of the Marines at any time.
I could go on, but space is limited here. Suffice to say that the person who answered the phone was not in a good mood when I called and not happy to hear from me. Wouldn’t you know it, her father was a Marine as well? Give them a call..they seem to not like hearing from people who disagree with them.

You have to grap the news cycle. you wait for the close and it might be gone. On the other hand if people hear all day the market is rebounding, the Treasury is starting the bailout, the fed is suppose to cut rates tommorrow, hong kong up 14% last noght etc. We may have passed the low point. etc. This gives McCain an entire newsday cycle. You wait for the close it could be gone. Iy could sell off some tommorrow. Yuo need to shout the success from the rooftops and whisper the failures from the basement like the dems do. We are at war.

ED,
Post on the rally. This is major news 7 days out. dow up almost 900pts. 11%. Biggest one day gain in history.
It happened at the same time gallup came out. Yes not really releaded but It is as much as Obama’s claim that the crash was caused by Bush’s 8 years of bad policies.
So Headline: Gallup says Mccain down by 2 Dow rallies 11% on news.

Waters is already lacing up and getting ready for next weeks riots/victory party. Obama loses they’ll riot because whitey brought down black man (multi-racial really but that distinction only seems to matter if the candidate is Republican). If Obama wins, these same thugs will be out there rioting because the win means its time to take revenge on whites. Mark my words, cities in this nation will be on fire a week from tonight.

It makes sense if you think about it. There are other things invovled too like short covering, oversold conditions, asian markets rebound, falling yen, people think a 41 consumer confidence is the worse that it can get and everything from here on has to be better. etc.
But we don’t care about naval grazing we care about winning the election. If Obama can say the crash was Bush’s fault we can say that the McCain surge was the cause of the rally

Why because they pumped $150K into the economy buying clothing?
I think the good news (polls closing) caused buying on Wall Street not the other way around. The wealthy aren’t particularly thrilled with the idea of a card-carrying socialist in office. If Obama gets elected November-January 2008 will see the biggest migration of personal wealth from the United States since the British monarch imposed taxes on his North American subjects.

call it a positive feedback loop. pools closer, dow rallies, good news can’t be hiden, more talk about soicalist obama, dow rallies more, polls close more more talk about marxist Obama polls close McCain get ahead Dow rallies etc…..
As compared to the negative feedback loop we had. dow crashes, obama blames capitalism, bush mcccain. Dow falls more as McCain drops in the polls. etc

The left claims to support our troops, but here is the proof they could care less about any of them. Just as the left does with blacks, they use the military as pawns.
If we think their attacks on them is bad now, wait for the spitting and “baby killer” signs to pop up again if the left takes D.C.

Ouch! That’s going to leave a mark. If I’m not mistaken, Limerick, wasn’t that guy in the university clock tower in Texas also a Marine? Can’t remember his name or the year.
