Video: Megyn Kelly, Obama spokesman go nuclear over Fox News and the redistribution tape

Time for the daily combative Kelly interview, featuring muppet-ish Obama spokestool Bill Burton in his recurring role. The beauty of this clip is how it ties the day’s two stories together in a bow. Got a question about The One’s penchant for socialist rhetoric? Then prepare to have your motives challenged and maybe your access cut off, on top of the abuse you’ll take once his vicious little cultists get involved. Just ask “extreme hate monger” David Freddoso.
She came ready to play, though, didn’t she? The polling stats flow effortlessly! Exit quotation: “You may have the rest of the media in the tank, but Fox News reports it straight.”

Megyn Kelly really knows how to set up those she is debating for the kill. The Republicans should learn from how she destroys the arguments of her opponents through logic, common sense and a razor sharp intellect.

She would make an incredible press secretary in a potential McCain-Palin administration. The thought of her pimp-slapping Helen Thomas and David Gregory is just too much to hope for.
But here’s hoping!
McCCAIN-PALIN VICTORY ‘08!

Nobody’s tougher than Mistress Kelly. Burton couldn’t face anything tougher if he was waterboarded.

Seriously, I AM IN LOVE WITH HER courage, intelligence, knowledge, and oh, yeah, her hotness.

Last comment, I promise: Yes, genius, taking money from the rich to give to the “hard-working people” (read ‘proletariat’) is socialist.
McCain saying “I disagree on taxes with the President” is not the same as “Watch out, Mr. Moneybags, I’m a-comin’!”

Dreadnought223 on October 27, 2008 at 6:56 PM
It is startling how comfortable Bill Burton is when he looks directly into the camera and lies to millions of Americans.
“Cutting taxes for 95% of Americans” Ha Ha Ha. Bill knows it is impossible to do and it will never happen.
Perfect Sense on October 27, 2008 at 6:58 PM
Wow that was infuriating. But it is so much like other “discussions” with liberals. There is no debate on ideas. There is no logic. There is constant redirection, spin, talking points, and symantic redirection.
There must be a seminar they all go to, to learn how to debate without giving an inch, and to constantly change the subject, and obscure the truth. Either that or there is a neurological flaw in the brain of all liberals. They all sound like they are hiding the truth, with no concience at all. And this guy is particularly good at it. Good grief.
pappy on October 27, 2008 at 6:58 PM
Ill give Megyn Kelly credit for not allowing this Obama apologist take over the interview but its a waste of time to even have this guy on…..he ignores the question– spouts off talking points that are utter nonsense– and then whines about fox news…everytime– i cant believe guys like Bill Burton may be running our country…
alecj on October 27, 2008 at 6:59 PM
that was beautiful. how can anyone beleive that he is going to cut taxes for 95% of the country and still pay for everything for them??? I have never seen/heard that spokesperson for Obama, but he just whined and whined. It is unbeleivable to me that anyone could listen to these tools and still vote for obama. He never did answer the question about socialist comments? all he did was redirect the question to taxes, which is by the way redistribution of someone elses wealth to me.
momof2 on October 27, 2008 at 7:00 PM
Question #1 from all genuine journalists to the Obama campaign should be: Are you going to blacklist me too if I ask the wrong question?

Larry L. Sharp on October 27, 2008 at 7:01 PM
FABULOUS, Megyn!
I only wish she had slammed down the point that Hillary Democrats also thought Fox was the most “Fair and Balanced,” so how can you call Fox “McCain/Republican Operatives” when “half of your party felt the same when Obama was facing Hillary Clinton?”
But FAB-U-LOUS! My hat to Megyn.

Fozzy Bear is pretty smart. He tried to make the interview about Fox News instead of the Obama tape. These guys squirm and wiggle like the snakes they are.
In other news, CNN is still talking about Gov Palin’s wardrobe and calling her a diva. Who’s pushing that relentless agenda, Fozzy Bear?
nyrofan on October 27, 2008 at 7:05 PM
I would love someone in the newsroom to hit the mute button every time one of these tools gets disrespectful and talks over her. I would love to hear Megan making her point while this fools mouth moves but he can’t be heard.
Guardian on October 27, 2008 at 7:06 PM
He played poor Megyn like a drum.
He wanted the discussion to be about Fox News. And she played right into it.
The folks at Fox have to be more aware. Ask him the question until he answers. Period.

econavenger on October 27, 2008 at 7:07 PM
Bill Burton hoped that Megyn Kelly had had a nice weekend right before he realized that he has eight days of heartburn and deflection from real questions ahead of him. Time to load up on the Prilosec, Bill. No number of talking points about Bush, McCain, or Fox News answers the questions about what the Boy Wonder has actually said in more than one context.
The working and middle class have been screwed by the shenanigans of your party, which contributed to the economic meltdown, Bill. Take that doofus look off your face.

What creeps these Obamites are.
lisalj on October 27, 2008 at 7:14 PM
Another point to make here is this.
If, for the sake of argument, we are all totally misunderstanding what Obama really means when he says “Distribution of Wealth”, or “Spreading the wealth” or “Redistributive Change”. If he really doesn’t mean what we think he means, then he is a lousy communicator. To be generous in the extreme, he is ambigous.
How then will the rest of the world be able to understand the true meaning of his words.
The logical concusion is:
He is either a liar, or he is so hard to understand as to be a danger to our country.
pappy on October 27, 2008 at 7:16 PM

“Is the Barack Obama campaign going to cut off the Fox New Channel for asking these kinds of questions?”

I just loved how he kept saying that Obama has been “crystal clear” on his policies – yeah clear as mud. I heard today that his taxes will hit, not anyone over $250,000, but anyone over $148,000. That is a big difference and will affect a lot more people than he is letting on.
aggie13 on October 27, 2008 at 7:24 PM
Don’tcha just love how when Obama surrogates get backed into a corner they start talking about “the racist right wing conspiracy to lie about and smear their candidate”. along with saying that Fox news is part of that conspiracy as well as anyone else who makes them look bad. Personally I was surprised that the Obama campaign hasn’t labeled Joe Biden as a right wing sympathiser who is trying to loose the election for Obama.

jake-the-goose on October 27, 2008 at 7:25 PM
I hate to rain on anyone’s parade…but I think Burton won that particular engagement.
He never addressed the question, he merely attacked Fox News and got Megyn Kelly very spun up. And that was the end of the probing right there.
She got hot-headed and let him off easy on the real issue, while taking the booby prize of defending Fox’s honor.
Attacking the messenger doesn’t work when the interviewer stays on point…
its_a_trap on October 27, 2008 at 7:26 PM
The strategy in these interviews is always the same. Re-direct the question (Obama redistribute wealth to Fox News agenda). If that doesn’t work, just keep talking so no one can be heard. There is a limited amount of time for each segment, just like a boxing match. All he needs to do is ‘clinch’ and run out the clock until the bell rings and it is an even draw.
jerseyman on October 27, 2008 at 7:28 PM
I’m almost sure Bill Burton told Barack Hussein Obama, “You damn socialist, Marxist fool; why did you say those stupid things and let them record your socialist ideas? You let the cat out of the bag with Joe the plumber; you were just acting cockier than usual. Now people are going to know for sure you’re a damn socialist, Barack. Just listen to the communist ideas you’re spewing out of your repugnant mouth, Barack. Oh, my. I have to find someone else to blame. Hell, let’s blame Fox News. But I gotta tell you, Barack, the public is going to know now that you are nothing but a radical marxist.”
