How many times does Obama need to say “redistribution of wealth” for some people to realize he is talking about redistribution of wealth. The fact that he was talking about it in 2001 indicates it has been on his mind for some time and given the context of the conversation, there can be no mistake about what’s he’s talking about since he also talks about about the mechanisms needed to accomplish redistribution and the practical limitations (unfortunately in his view) of the Supreme Court to provide remedies.

As if the top 1% wage earners paying 60% of the federal tax bill isn’t fair enough. We know who he is targeting, but someone needs to ask Obama at what rate of taxation does the system become fair.

We’re approaching the point at which nearly half of the wage earners don’t pay federal income taxes. Put another way, the subset of wage earners who are most likely to receive additional payments, access federal programs and be a net draw on the system is likely to rise under an Obama administration. At what point or percentage of wage earners not paying federal taxes will the system become fair? Should only 40% of wage earners pay? When the majority of the public is able to vote themselves money, the system has reached the tipping point.

You aren’t McCaskill’s target audience. The press and the poorly informed voter are.

Essentially the press can now frame it as Obama supported middle class tax relief in the tape and the Republicans claim it is socialism. Poorly informed voters will here the press discuss it and presume the truth is closer to Obama’s supporters’ statements. After all, the press couldn’t be that far in the tank for Obama, could they?

BTW SPREAD THE WEALTH, is different From INCOME DISTRIBUTION. France has Spread the Wealth taxes, 15 percent approximately on your net assets each year in addition to income taxes. Given how much Obama likes France, we can expect this to come across the Atlantic.

Then he’ll be deemed rehabilitated and given early release so that he can become a community organizer.
