What I find most remarkable is how complacent the national media has become in the face of this outright antagonism from Team O.

Good observation.

Maybe they saw what happened to Joe the Plumber and have been intimidated into silence. Nah, that can’t be it. After all, they participated in that character assassination.

Another good observation.

Maybe they just love Obama more than free speech and an independent media.

Yes, sir.

The probama media are simply fellow travelers. They’re in favor of wealth redistribution (thinking that they’ll somehow be exempted).

from the “White people shouldn’t be allowed to vote” article…
Posted by Flint 08:20 AM, 10/27/2008
Jonathan, I know in your own little world that there could not possibly be a reason for anyone to disagree with the plans that Sen. Obama has laid out. But seriously, does it have to be all about race? Sure, some people won't vote for him because he is black and some will vote for him only because he is black. But I'll bet the large majority that will not be voting for him will do so because they genuinely disagree with him on policy. Yes, I know, it's hard for you to believe that anyone could possibly disagree with his, and apparently your, viewpoints. So let's reverse the situation. Did you vote for Lynn Swan? A lot of 'white folks' did. The same ones you are saying now should not be allowed to vote because they won't vote for a black man. So if you didn't vote for Swan, you sir are a racist. Doesn't matter if you agreed with his policy or not. The only thing that matters is that you voted for a white man instead. The same goes for all the blacks in PA that didn't vote for him. They voted for a white man instead. Does that make them racist as well? Checkmate pal. It's not the color of the skin, it's the man's character. Isn't that what Dr. King preached? So if we ignore color and vote on principle and we don't happen to vote the way YOU want us to, we are racist. But if we ignore our principle and vote for a man based only on his color then we are enlightened? I guess when you run out of ideas you have to find something else to pull out of your hat. In the case of the Obama campaign it's race.

One of the best comments I've ever read.

Tough, imnpertinent questions? What about White House Press conferences (Bush and spokesmen/women)? Does this show that Obama and Biden are not ready for prime time? It certainly seems they can not handle the tough questions and respond by not just attacking the character of the questioner, but actually using govt resources to shut down and elimnate any and all opposition.

Rush's point is that the MSM is aligning to show their ability to shape the election (I guess that course on objectivity at J school was only an elective). Obama is not their Messiah, he is their temporary beneficiary. Post election the MSM will gradually turn the screws on Obama just like they did Bill Clinton. After all, they have to deliver eyeballs for their advertisers.

It doesn't sound like Barry sealed his birth certificate, sounds like the governor (a friend of Paln's as another poster points out) sealed it, specifically noting the people legally entitled to get a copy.

The governor of Hawaii has now put the onus on Barry:

If your birth certificate is not forthcoming it's because you will not release it.

Maybe a political move to cut out all Barry wiggle room on this?

A McCain/527 ad coming?

Maybe I'm thinking too much LOL....Let's roll!

Just as the reporters hid their long knives behind their backs for eight years during McCain’s “Straight Talk Express”, his nomination brought them out with a viciousness akin to the Taliban.

Now it’s the MSM’s turn if Obama is elected because they will find out quickly that the kind of America he wants to create will have, as history has shown, little use for the media.

The media will then cry “foul” for their lack of Access to him after the sycophantic, apple polishing, race baiting they have been engaged in for him over the past 18 months.

There’s nothing like being hung by your own petard.

White people shouldn’t be allowed to vote

If they keep this up they will instigate a race riot war.

Guardian on October 27, 2008 at 11:31 AM

That’s been the defense strategy all along. BHO likes scorched Earth and wants to see America burn if he loses. That’s been clear since the start.

William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn were well in tune with Charles Manson, or rather, he was even a more crazy extension of their philosophy.
All of their thinking seems well-encapsulated in "Helter Skelter"..race wars were a large part of the plan to destroy the U.S. That book scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.

or even report on the FACT he Campaigned for Odinga in Kenya (who then instigated violence when he lost, and had signed an agreement to institute SHARIA Law in Kenya)….

I do not understand why the media, including Fox News, isn't all over Obama's connection with his pal (by his own admission) Odinga, a man who wishes sharia law on his country and encourages the pursecution of Christian. Even Americas who are comfortable with the concept of redistribution would be fearful of Odinga's influence on our Executive Office. This scares me more about Obama than anything else. Why aren't McCain/Palin hammering away at this?

I had feared the stupidity of this decision. I was never a huge conspiracy person, but didn't dismiss the Berg suit outright due to his being a truther. I felt that as a US citizen, Berg has the right to have this simple question answered. However, I suspect that Obama knew what would be up with this decision, constitutional law was his specialty.

But therein lies my biggest rub with this. Given his refusal to just hand over these documents to the discovery process or congress as John McCain did, and motions for dismissal, what is the purpose in leaving these lawsuits out there?

Just to play devil's advocate, lets assume Berg has merit to his allegations. What does it mean for the US to elect a president who does not meet the constitutional requirement? Does that invalidate our adherence to the constitution? And doesn't that also mean that Obama knows what implications would exist?

Ugh, need more coffee.

I'm not seeing the messiah's qualities in Mr. Obama.

The Messiah was supposed to be merciful to those who fell short of his standards, Obama wants payback.

The Messiah was supposed to suffer and serve. Obama commands protection by the media and a National Civilian Security Force.

The Messiah was supposed to be humble, gentle as a lamb. Obama is an arrogant, angry man who sends his thugs to attack anyone who disagrees with him.

The Messiah was supposed to re-align our values from material things to the immaterial things that matter more. Obama is obsessed with material possessions and social class.

These things would appear to suggest Obama is not the Messiah. He seems to be very different from the Messiah.

The critical importance of impartiality and balance has been overshadowed by the perceived role of journalists as advocates for the supposed “voiceless.”

Nah, that's not it. These schmucks in the media could give two sh*ts for the "voiceless." They went to J-School not to be objective reporters but to change the world. After all, how many reporters make the history books, much less actually study them?

this guy is salivating to implement the most aggressive version of the fairness doctrine he can get away with.

you can see the mask coming off, he's angry when he gets questioned, and he can't hide it much longer; he wants to lash out.

I like Surrick's other reasoning:

…regardless of questions of causation, the grievance remains too generalized to establish the existence of an injury in fact. To reiterate: a candidate’s ineligibility under the Natural Born Citizen Clause does not result in an injury in fact to voters. By extension, the theoretical constitutional harm experienced by voters does not change as the candidacy of an allegedly ineligible candidate progresses from the primaries to the general election.

I never had much respect for law schools or lawyers, but this is just over the top stupidity.

I find it amazing that our Press can find documents and leak them about Top Secret Government projects which protect America…

But can’t find a real copy of Barry’s birth cert, or his Harvard Records… or even report on the FACT he Campaigned for Odinga in Kenya (who then instigated violence when he lost, and had signed an agreement to institute SHARIA Law in Kenya)….

The Fifth Estate is given wide Freedom of Speech, and from prosecution because it is in the public interest that it be fair, and free, enough to get important stories out… but it comes with the implied contract that they be fair, and dig into everything. When that stops… when the Press is MAKING the news up, instead of reporting it farily, we need to look at that social contract.

According to media reports, he only visited her for 7 hours (three separate trips) during the entire time that he was there.

I think it's obvious that Granny does not accept or tolerate MichelleMyBelle. Most likely it is because she is opposed to inter-racial marriages. I suspect she raised him "white" meaning that she instilled in him "typical" middle class values. I also suspect that Obambi's momma got told by Grandma and Grandpa to get lost when she announced that she was pregnant by a black foreigner. Or it could have been the Muslim religion and Obambi's momma deciding to convert and go to Indonesia.

Obambi is a product of a drive-by sex relationship and his father he dreams of is a deadbeat dad. This what he is driven to prove - that he is not social detritus.

This guy has a serious personality disorder. It explains his searching for a father not worth finding, his grandma who would rather die than face MichelleMyBelle, his commitment to super-socialism (hiding in a group), etc., etc., etc.

He is a chameleon who reminds me of a chimera.

Maybe YOU just don't understand what "Hope and Change" means, Ed.

Surrick defers to Congress, saying that the legislature could determine “that citizens, voters, or party members should police the Constitution’s eligibility requirements for the Presidency,” but that it would take new laws to grant individual citizens that ability.

“Until that time,” Surrick says, “voters do not have standing to bring the sort of challenge that Plaintiff attempts to bring.”

I missed the "some citizens are more equal than others" clause this so-called judge seems to have found.

Fits in perfectly with Osama Obama's view of the Constitution as a flawed document filled with "negative liberties."

from the "White people shouldn’t be allowed to vote" article...
"I have broken kielbasa with those people. I went to school with their children. I have gone to Sunday Mass with a deer-hunter hangover with those people. They are bitter with good reason, and they are armed because they are scared. They mean well, but they are easily spooked."

Besides the obvious call of "racist", this guy should be scared. He won't be welcome at the next Oktoberfest or Sunday Mass. Though they might let him tag along for a deer hunt - as long as he wears orange.
