“These people are going to try and shred her after the campaign to divert blame from themselves… A number of Gov. Palin’s staff have not had her best interests at heart, and they have not had the campaign’s best interests at heart.”
*
“She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone. She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else.
Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom.”
*
“If you measure tension as the interaction between principles and staff who actually have some authority and are trying to win the election, then we’re fine. If you want to report based on the musings and resentments of hangers on and people who like to pretend they’re in the know then you can probably come up with anything.”

I know you won’t agree, but McCain used JTP dozens of times during the debate. McCain used Joe’s image to illustrate a problem. It was only logical that someone would dig underneath the surface to see if JTP story and situation made any sense.

The source said
I’ve got an entire closet full of “sources”, all of whom will give me whatever answer I desire for any claim I wish to present.
In fact, this source I just grabbed at random says that Odummy is a full-blown communist who hates America.
You have to trust the information, it’s from my SOURCE.

The lib-o-crats believe that Obama will be a Lincoln. Mark my words he will be a Buchanan. He will divide the house. The question facing all of us is do you care?

Dude………….. Joe was outside his house tossing a football with his son. Obama was the one looking for a photo op and came to him………
………. the fact that an American Citizen asked a very important question to someone actually seeking and running for the President of the United States gets caught telling the truth about his socialistic policies, and then doesn’t like it getting around, and lets the dogs of the left and his campaign to try to discredit the messenger, and hide the message……………..
Dude……….. what country do you want to live in?

That is the absolute TRUTH!
Went through such a scenario this past summer. I felt we were doomed all spring and summer and when I thought all hope was lost (after spending a dreadful summer just agonizing over what I thought was certain defeat), BOOM! Victory was ours. Hopefully the same is true with McCain-Palin!
ManlyRash… keep talking to us.
Oink on October 26, 2008 at 12:55 AM
Dude… Joe was outside… Joe asked a question… Joe got response… and then….
MCCAIN UNLEASHED!
Joe had not really received any personal attention until that point. But McCain ensured that he got tons by using him left and right.
On top of that, McCain lied. Joe was never going to pay higher taxes with Obama’s plan. McCain knew that, but still decided to go ahead because it made for great TV. Kudos to McCain.

The law is broken to test if a hypothetical question made sense? Try again…really.
I think two things have really hurt O. The first is how the fangs, claws and hate of the Left and the MSM came out after Palin was picked as Mac’s running mate. The second is how O goes after anyone who points out his flaws. He has let his surrogates go after Joe the plumber in a way that scared a lot of people, his minions go after radio and t.v. stations either by trying to shut them down with noise or the attorneys. It’s so bad they are trying to use the law to shut up McCain and Palin on the stump! Facists!

Weak. Very weak. Kinda like a McCain argument about the US Gov buying mortgages so dead beats dont have to pay them back.

Ok let me quote Michelle Malkin’s article on JTP:
So note that the “The dirt-diggers started Googling” after McCain used JTP in his speech.

The only thing that scream senseless is a mccain supporter endorsing progressive taxation (what McCain has) but then saying Obama’s plan is socialist.
mycowardice on October 26, 2008 at 1:17 AM
So your justification for the smearing of a private citizen is because McCain used the answer that Obama gave as an example of the socialist policies Obama has in store for us?
What a dope you are! Joe is the embodiment of regular Americans who want to improve their financial standing. To attack Joe is to attack any other American who is just like Joe.
Lets see if we can get this through your think skull…..
If Obama had not spoken the phrase “spread the wealth” to the question Joe asked, would we be discussing Joe? Would McCain had mentioned him in the debate?
No we would not you stupid a$$wipe. So, logic dictates that the issue is Obama’s answer and not the personal life of the person who asked the question.
Lets try to wise you up with another example…..
Had Obama answered this question the same way but from an anonymous source would we be discussing the personal life of the anonymous source?
Again, same answer you $hitbag….No we would not.
You and your foul ilk are justifying the attacks against a private citizen because your dear leader has been exposed for the vile socialist puke he is and you think that if you can somehow destroy a private citizen, then the answer that Obama gave wont matter any longer.
Wrong again moron.

McCain did more that talk about the spread the wealth comment. He started talking about Joe, Joe’s situation, etc. What did you want people to do? Listen to a minute about Joe and how Joe’s situation mattered but then not go and see if any of it made sense?

You should strive for basic fluency in English before you attempt the tough stuff.
Jim Treacher on October 26, 2008 at 1:22 AM
The question was VALID……..
Do you own a business?
Do you have employees?
Do you have any overhead, i.e inventory, a data base, trucks, shipping material, phones, computers, an alarm system, uniforms, insurance, human resources, 401K plans, loans, lights, heat, a building with parking, landscaping, advertisement and marketing, business partners, lawyers, accountants, business licences, taxes, fees, and everyday expenses?
Do you want the best return on your investment and time and money?
Do you want provide a better life for your family than maybe you have had, and have worked hard in order to do it?
Do you want to leave behind your life’s work to your children so they don’t have to start at the bottom and can grow on your teaching, love, and hard work?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, Obama will tax you, McCain will let you keep the reward of your hard work to invest in your future and that of your family’s.
If you answered “no”, then you are an idiot with his hand out, sleeping in until noon, waiting for the check to go cash, complain, then hang out on the corner with a “forty” in your hand…………
Why work, if you don’t have to?
Trust me, if you make a nickle, Obama will want to take it….. McCain will want you to reinvest it…..

Roger Waters, we do agree on something. I would rather have had Romney as the Republican nominee. Even though I hated his shift to the right, at least I knew he was coming from a Blue State, implementing mandatory health insurance, etc.

mycowardice on October 26, 2008 at 1:17 AM
Sorry dude, but your opinion of the economy in regards to JTP is the standard liberal tripe. From your own site:
“Maybe it’s not such a good idea to be saying Biden is dissin’ small business owners when the person in question isn’t a small business owner and even if he were, statistics show he wouldn’t be making 250k ajusted gross income per year.”
JTP didn’t say he was a small biz owner, only that he had hopes of being one. And of course the statistics say he has no chance of being what he desires or making beyond $250k, so fair game.
I just don’t understand why the left is always telling people that they are victims first and everything else second. I don’t want to understand really, because that worldview scares me.

Roger Waters on October 26, 2008 at 1:36 AM
Maybe you could quote the whole context, it would help. Michelle Malkin wrote this in relation to Joe Biden:
I was responding to her by saying that JTP was not in that category of people… She seemed to be implying that JTP was in that category of people. Go reread her post at:
http://michellemalkin.com/2008/10/16/keep-talking-smirky-biden-attacks-joe-the-plumber/
mycowardice on October 26, 2008 at 1:36 AM
Just what is wrong with you? During the debate McCain could have made up a person that would be in the tax bracket that Obama will raise taxes on and he still would have given the “spread the wealth” answer.
So what do you want McCain to do? Create an entire life history for this made up person so the media can smear him and Obama and Biden can mock him?
Dig your head out of your a$$! It isn’t the person who asked the question…
IT IS THE ANSWER OBAMA GAVE THAT IS THE ISSUE!

Jim Treacher on October 26, 2008 at 1:40 AM
Too Easy.
rockhauler on October 26, 2008 at 1:40 AM
Sources close to the campaign tell me that Obama and Biden are having serious problems. Obama is apparently very angry about having to constantly explain Biden’s gaffes as “rhetorical flourishes” and such. Obama is also unhappy about the small crowds that Biden is attracting at his rallies, and the overall lack of enthusiasm. “Joe is like an anchor, weighing down the campaign!”, one source said.
The sources report that Biden sees Obama as a lightweight. “Joe thinks he’s going to be the real President who’ll have to deal with international crises that Obama can’t handle”, one source told me.
Sources now say Obama wishes he’d never picked Biden, and the campaign is in danger of “imploding”.
Mr. Wednesday Night on October 26, 2008 at 1:40 AM
See that’s the whole point. McCain couldn’t create such a person because they don’t exist. A small (and by small I mean really small) number of small businesses make 250k after expenses. If JTP could afford that kind of business, it would cost him millions of dollars. These cases are far and few. The bulk of the cases are exactly like Joe’s except that they will get more tax cuts under Obama’s plan. McCain’s use of Joe was all smoke and mirrors.
mycowardice on October 26, 2008 at 1:43 AM
Roger…………. I keep trying to tell you that you do more harm to your arguement when you go down this road than if you stick with the facts, as you know them, give examples, and win with humor.
