The Ed Morrissey Show: Senator Norm Coleman
posted at 11:00 am on October 23, 2008 by Ed Morrissey
Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (special time: 1 pm ET), I’m pleased to netcast a live appearance by Senator Norm Coleman. He will appear today at the University of Minnesota to talk about energy policy, sponsored by UM’s Humphrey Institute and its Center for the Study of Politics and Governance. Dr. Eric Ostermeier writes the CSPG’s Smart Politics blog and extended the invitation to me. You will see little of me in today’s show, but get the chance to hear Senator Coleman speak on one of the biggest issues in this election in a special 75-minute appearance. I’ll mostly participate in chat, while producing the netcast.
Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice moderates the chat, and he has his Troll Gun Trivia Contest running before the show, for those who get there early — and are registered!

Ask Norm if he’s seen the 3rd Rock from the Sun episode called “Dick the Vote “. Franken plays a dirty politician running for city council. Its on You Tube and its like life imitating art (or tv at least).

I promise, PROMISE not to call Senator Coleman “BDN” (Bio Diesel Norm from his comments in 2002 that the reason he wasn’t in favor of drilling in ANWR was because he supported bio-diesel. Oh.)

Fellow blogsters:
PBS has an online poll asking if Palin is experienced enough. Currently, the results are neck and neck. Go and vote now! Here is the link:

Please ask him his thoughts about Former Minnesota Gov. Arne Carlson (R) endorsing Obama.

I think Norm Coleman would agree that if he loses to Franken, he doesn’t deserve to be Senator. With that said, I have 2 Coleman bumperstickers on my car, and expect him to win easily. Franken makes regular Democrats look bad. There are a lot of good people on the Democrat side who are not going to vote for Franken or Obama. Call it the opposite of coattails.
