Sarah Palin IS the future of the Republican party. In 2005-2006, some Republicans in Congress allowed themselves to be corrupted, and others were either incompetent or allowed themselves to be perceived as incompetent by failing to communicate with the American people (thank you, Scott McClellan).

Sarah Palin fought corruption in her own party in Alaska. She actually sacrificed her political career at one point by RESIGNING from the state oil and gas boards in protest, then ran for Governor, and cleaned things up within a year and a half. In Alaska, she showed herself to be both competent and incorruptible, and voters like that.

Sarah Palin’s only weakness in THIS election is that, up until her selection as VP, she had concentrated on issues involving Alaska (which is her JOB as Governor), and not much on broader issues involving the entire country, which led to some early stumbles in interviews. She is an amazingly quick study, and has improved tremendously during the campaign.

If McCain/Palin lose this election, Sarah Palin will go back to Alaska and gain more experience as Governor, while she will probably be sought as a speaker at Republican fund-raisers, and can familiarize herself with issues that members of Congress will have to deal with. An Obama Presidency with a Democrat Congress would probably lead to another 1994-like GOP landslide in 2010, and Palin could work with the new majority to emerge as the leader of the Republican renewal to take back the White House, with a detailed knowledge of the issues by 2012.

If McCain/Palin win this election, Palin will have four years as Vice President to learn how the Senate works (she will be its President), and to learn foreign policy from one of the best (McCain).

Either way, Sarah Palin would be ready to be President in 2012.

What is it with these elitist morons from the East Coast. Oh that’s right, they’ve never been west of the east river and have no idea what it’s like in the real United States. All they do is pal around with their snobish, rich, elitist friends who think of us as the great unwashed who couldn’t possibly be able to think for ourselves. They are just as bad as the liberals who want to run the nanny state. Sarah Palin is a force to be reconned with and she will be the next Rep. president!

Regarding Jindal, talk at the local Parish Fair just ended is: Some of his closest advisors are of the opinion that if BHO wins, Jindal has all but decided to announce for ’12.

Now, bear in mind, “fair talk” is, uhh…let’s say…open to interpretation. But pols down here have been known to employ reaction gauging whispering campaigns, and trial balloon floatings.

I like Jindal, But I think Palin’s present position gives her seniority. So…Palin/Jindal ’12/’16?

If Sarah doesn’t win this time, she will have four years to really get up to date on all the issues. She had been so focused on Alaskan issues, that it took a little while to learn some of the things she did not know this time. This gave the MSM time to undermine her. From what I can see, she is a quick study, and will WOW everyone in 2012.

Palin/Jindal in 2012, whether she wins this time or not. If McCain/Palin win this time, and McCain stubbornly decides to run again in 2012 – Sarah could decide to do a Murkowski on him!!!

I’ve said it many times before, and I’ll say it again: what she needs to do is toss out her neocon advisers. Essentially, she needs to espouse a much less hawkish foreign policy and give people the image that the GOP is once again the party of limited-government conservatism.
