Jay-Z dedicates “99 problems” to McCain and Palin

posted at 1:28 pm on October 23, 2008 by Allahpundit

If you don’t know the lyrics, you will soon. Who cares? The PUMAs might, but not Team Barry: They’re promoting Jay-Z’s “Last Chance for Change” concert next week in Cleveland. Tapper’s all over it.

Well, almost all over it. He either forgot this detail or decided to follow Ben Smith’s lead and err on the side of skepticism.

Here’s a blast from the past by an unknown booster of Hopenchange. Content warning.

What’s a Jay-Z?

Elizabetty on October 23, 2008 at 1:29 PM

According to MTV News Jay recently dedicated the song to McCain and a “homegirl,” whom he described as “the one who says ‘You betcha.’ ”

“I’m gonna get in trouble for this,” Jay said, laughing, “but f— it, this is freedom of speech.”

It’s free, as long as it isn’t directed at the ONE, then you get prosecutors truth squaders at your door.

This is what America is coming to.

Slime and filth rise to the top; those who oppose the trend are silenced.

Dennis Prager, as thoughtful and eloquent a man as I’ve heard on the radio (or read in columns), is confessing that he believes there will be violence after McCain is elected.

We will soon be prisoners of vile rap “artists,” unrepentant traitors from the 1960s and 70s, and the Osama Obama Blue Shirts.

We can’t all get along, it seems.

Unless, that is, we surrender every principle, every Commandment, every bit of what we believe is right and good.

Back in March, Jay-Z made a robocall to Ohio voters on behalf of the Obama campaign
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp-2XEQtB_o

Then at a concert, he shows a slideshow of Bush & Katrina, raps about Bush’s plane going down and then says “F*ck Bush!” and asks the audience if they’re ready for change as Obama appears on screen

Jay-Z has no career. He sucks. He retired with the “Black Album.” He came back and was a failure. He also was president of Def Jam, and failed there too.
He has no cred.
I like how 50 Cent called him “fish lips.” HA HA HA.

1. Diction
2. Class
3. “The Man”
4. Pants that fit properly
5. Music pirate “fans” ironically more thuggish than he is
6. Obamessiah worship
7. Dental Hygiene

and of course:

8. Palin Derangement Syndrome

Allahpundit on October 23, 2008 at 1:56 PM

The ones who know the words and can still get worked up over these things probably are.

I’m already too sick and tired of this bs to even take Jay Z seriously. Yeah, he hates her, we get it. And he thinks it’s appropriate to use that word to describe her. I get that too.

Then again, he also seems to believe as an “artist” he has the right to say whatever he wants but Imus doesn’t. He has another song where he talks about how, “it’s only entertainment” in response to those who tried to say that what Imus said is no worse than what rappers say.

But seriously, after reading about celebrities who want Palin gang-raped, this almost seems kind.

It’s put in there like that to show that it’s the poster who capitalized that letter and that it wasn’t capitalized in the original post.

For instance, Mr. X says, “I don’t like her at all.”

Since the “her” is unclear, I’d edit that, and say:
Mr. X said, “I don’t like [Palin] at all.”

Many of these same women would get enraged if they came across someone abusing a puppy or drowning a kitten but shredding a baby in their OWN womb, not so much.

Jeez, maybe if there was a room for orphaned/unwanted/rescued infants in local animal shelters, babies would have a better chance.

It could be the start of a whole new movement. Call it:

PETAF=People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals & FETUSES

PETAI=People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals & INFANTS

Well, it obviously needs more thought.
