Fort Jackson is South Carolina, just a short hop from Fort Gordon, GA.

Mississippi does have Camp Shelby, though. It’s a National Guard base rather than an army base, but it’s the biggest Guard base in the country, and very active right now. Many of the troops headed to the Middle East go through it.

Last time I checked SF was in Northern Calif. I should know, I grew up in the Bay Area and escaped The Land O’ Fruits and Nuts when I moved to Arizona in 1993.
