Twenty-seven minutes and no transcript, alas. The best I can do for you are these highlights from Beliefnet. The beginning deals with family issues (Trig especially) and their mutual admiration before segueing into the GOP platform around 15 minutes in. Predictably, the media headline is her telling Dobson that “the right thing for America will be done at the end of the day on Nov. 4.” That’s at around 17:10. My transcript:
You know, I am not discouraged at all, even hearing those poll numbers because, for some reason, I have found myself over and over again in my life being put in these underdog positions. And yet still, when victory needed to be reached in order to meet this greater good, it’s always worked out just perfectly fine despite the fact that over and over again I’ve been — and I know John McCain has been — in underdog positions. To me, it motivates us, makes us work that much harder, and it also strengthens my faith because I’m going to know at the end of the day — putting this in God’s hands — that the right thing for America will be done, the end of the day on November 4th. So I’m not discouraged at all. I’m just fine with the position that we’re in today.
I think she’s saying that the outcome will be fine no matter what because it’ll reflect God’s will, much as she said she hoped/prayed that the war is in accordance with God’s plan (which the media also distorted), but it’s slightly more ambiguous this time. Either way, it’s a bit more personal and humanizing than the average interview and therefore a good listen just as Saddleback was good viewing. Worth the time if you can spare it.

It will be fine… Mrs. Vice President.
People are coming to their senses that Biden is dangerously close to being a heartbeat away.

Tomorrow’s headlines:
“Palin Hopes God Will Kill Obambi with Lightning Bolt”
Bishop on October 22, 2008 at 6:11 PM
Will Dobson finally endorse McCain, or only Palin?
Obama might want to share the wealth, but God doesn’t share His throne–maybe He will let McCain/Palin be America’s Caesar.

What Sarah Palin actually said:
Huffpo headline: Palin wants God to destroy America
NY Times headline: Palin says God is on her side; women and minorities hardest hit.
LA Times headline: Palin: McCain Voters Doing Will of God by Voting for Him
Moonbat diary entry: What that blood-drinking b**ch c**t really means is that when the f**king smoke of battle clears over the bodies of the Americans I have slain in the name of f****ing Chimpy McBushitler with weapons furnished by Halliburton, you will see that my victory over the subhuman heathen was clearly the will of the motherf**king Christian God.

The picture reminds of The Sound of Music family. It’s nice to see the Palin family, and Joe the Plumber. They’re most significant in this weird cycle, and thus despised by the media and the lefties.
Entelechy on October 22, 2008 at 6:23 PM
Why is she convinced McCain is going to implement the GOP platform when he has said numerous times he supports stem cell research, won’t ban abortion and thinks gay marriage should be left to the states?

How I’d love to run a psycho ward, if the lefties lose.

She worships God and refuses to kill defective children. This separates her from them and they despise her for it.
I have never, in my entire life, seen a more accurate earthly metric for separating good from evil.

SnarkVader, stem cell research s/b supported (I know there are several kinds), just not paid for by the government, Roe v. Wade is still the law, and marriage and other such items s/b left to federalism. Can’t be a conservative, selectively.
Entelechy on October 22, 2008 at 6:29 PM
Manly, please consider reading my comments on cooking/writing, etc., beginning with here, and following my nom, and Manly. You’re in there, all over. If you’ve done so already, please ignore this.
Entelechy on October 22, 2008 at 6:33 PM
He already endorse McCain because he chose Palin
ConservativePartyNow on October 22, 2008 at 6:34 PM
The only stem cell research most conservatives have a problem with is Embryonic stem cell research, as it requires abortion to acquire the cells in question. There are other variants of stem cells that can be acquired in other ways that don’t require killing someone to get them.

Grue in the Attic on October 22, 2008 at 6:35 PM
The platform Dobson is talking about would ban embryonic stem cell research, all forms of abortion and included a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. McCain disagrees with all three of these so why is she telling Dobson he will implement them when he has said he won’t?
SnarkVader on October 22, 2008 at 6:36 PM
Btw, I beat you to your comment on the self-destruction of humanity, just a few comments above yours. 100% agreement - just a matter of time, due to stupidity, ignorance, and lack of real progress as a ‘humanity’. I refuse to type the word any more, without single quotes. After the fall of the iron curtain I had hope. After 2000 I realized it was just a lull.
Entelechy on October 22, 2008 at 6:36 PM
I don’t know, I believe Biden is more qualified than Obambi…
neuquenguy on October 22, 2008 at 6:37 PM
Heh, GWB said a few things, which he then promptly ignored. They all do to a point, and I don’t mind. What I do mind is blatant and constant lying - see the O-camp.
Maybe she meant when she’ll be president.
Entelechy on October 22, 2008 at 6:39 PM
I’m pretty sure McCain is against Embryonic stem cell research, considering he’s strongly pro-life.
Don’t know off the top of my head about the other two, I’ll look it up later.

Grue in the Attic on October 22, 2008 at 6:40 PM
SnarkVader, fwiw, I believe the stem cell research will progress in ways such that we no longer need the embryonic kind. Just an aside, for now.

Please say a payer for Gov Palin and for the McCain/Palin ticket. IT is in God’s hands. I refuse to believe that God does not have a plan for this great country. It has been and will continue to be a force for good.

That’s well done for an ‘atheist’. I’m impressed. I bet we can get you back to faith in Christ when you realize it is more about God’s love than His punishment. This creation and everything in it are awesome no matter what the government does. What is the political party of a leaf? a mountain? any animal?

As had been said by a few here in other posts, I cannot tell you I have empirical evidence or poll numbers or what have you, I just sense that Obama will not prevail. Call it spooky…. and I have been as hard on McCain as anyone who is a conservative.

Off-topic, I am so delighted to have found all of you–don’t know how I would make it through this election without knowing people like you are out there.
Marines, fans of Norse mythology, Christians of various stripes, a host who claims to be an atheist, ex-Democrats . . . what fun!

Drool? Nah. Flee in horror, most likely. I have that effect on women and men. And little children, who are rightly terrified of me because I loathe them.

MNDavenotPC on October 22, 2008 at 8:09 PM
I agree. I love the diversity of experience and thought we get at HotAir (I know lefties would laugh at that diversity of thought, but, while most of us lean right, we do it in wildly various ways and for different reasons….plus we allow libs to post here, unlike uni-thought sites like DKos and such). Though, I would add the following to your list:
the conservative Jews, conservative minorities and conservatives of the log cabin variety
By bucking the trends and being conservative, you add a voice to the party that is unique and much appreciated.

I also keep thinking that God would not allow our country to fall into the hands of Obama. I just cannot believe it will happen. However, if it does, like someone else said, it will be HIS will and we will have to learn from it. The biggest tragedy of all will be if Obama wins and at the end of his first term we’re NOT ready to rise up and take back the WH and Congress.
I just can’t imagine why God would have allowed Sarah Palin to be introduced to us and yet not have her elected on 11.4.08.
Just my inner thoughts spilling out. Never mind.
Oink on October 22, 2008 at 10:16 PM
If BHO wins, I believe it will be bcause God is judging or disciplining the USA.
jgapinoy on October 22, 2008 at 10:49 PM
Why would God judge or discipline us? Well…

Didn’t Dobson and some of you extreme righties have some serious bigotry going on against Romney, even writing WARNING LETTERS TO McCAIN THAT HE BETTER NOT CHOOSE ROMNEY FOR VP??!!! Utterly shameful bullying!
Palin’s a joke and Obama’s up with the indies by 20 points! Keep praying everyone–we’ll see what God has in store for the bigots!

She has a relationship with Christ. That is a good thing.
No wonder it seems she has a peace that most of her political
rivals seem not to have when in a middle of a media storm.
