Via the Standard, you read the Byron York article. Now see the movie! Featuring an introduction by Mother Jones lefty David Corn, lamenting the sad, sad state of American politics in which irresponsible leaders scapegoat media outlets and incite an angry rabble.

David Corn lectures private citizen on taxes while Obama finance person’s taxes remain larger and unpaid.

David Corn should be pitied: he suffers from liberalis-headuphisassus.

Tito for White House Press Secretary!

Corn sounds shocked, shocked that anyone would think that the media was trying to rig the election for Obama.

For someone trying to get an interview, he sure doesn’t let the people answer his questions.

Interesting that Corn was talking about the Repbulican campaigns tearing down people…

While Tito was talking about the PRESS doing it FOR the Democrats…

But of course, he could not see the problem there…

Romeo13 on October 21, 2008 at 4:20 PM

If Obama really wants to hurt McCain, he should mention that McCain has palled around with leftwing journalists in the past.

Remeber folks, this is the guy who invented the whole “Karl Rove outed Valerie Plame” story out of whole cloth. Trusting him to tell the truth about anything is like trusting Joe Stalin.

GO MCCAIN SUPPORTERS!!
Tito and the others should be on the campaign trail!

jencab on October 21, 2008 at 4:23 PM

The media doesn’t understand how personal “Joe the Plumber” resonated by many people just like him. Most only write about that part of America, don’t mingle with it.

Check out the smug looks the media members are giving while they two are talking. Conceited pricks.

amerpundit on October 21, 2008 at 4:23 PM

Every time I see David Corn talk about anything I’m glad he’s not on our side.

Romeo13 on October 21, 2008 at 4:20 PM

Aaaaaand, Joe W. was a private citizen who didn’t ask to be made a public figure. Asking questions about and taking shots at a candidate’s judgment, background, and character is much, much different than attacking a private citizen simply for asking a question.

Abby Adams on October 21, 2008 at 4:27 PM

Wow… and that’s even after selective editing. Have no doubt that the McCain backers probably handed Corn his ass several times.

Hoodlumman on October 21, 2008 at 4:27 PM

I wonder if Mr. Corn has any children? They would be “Children of the Corn” and very scary just like their daddy.

Vince on October 21, 2008 at 4:28 PM

The crowd complains about the media attacking Joe the plumber and he responds with Republicans attacking their political opponents. Is he so blind that he cannot see the difference?

According to the transcript that was posted here at HA, Mr. Construction man did teach Cornhole a lesson in civics.

nottakingsides on October 21, 2008 at 4:30 PM

“I wonder if Mr. Corn has any children?”

I think we both know the answer to that.

It’s like asking whether Markos Moulitsas has any children.

One, you have to like girls in a way that these two poofs do not.

Second, you have to sacrifice your time to something other than building a socialist utopia on earth.

NUTZ!

There ARE because we allow it. Not WaRshington. Not liberals. Not hug-a-tree universities. US. You. Me. All of us. With the exception of the print news the other outlets are making their money from PROFIT SHARING. Demand to pay for only what you order. What the hell is it going to cost you? pukara61 on October 21, 2008 at 4:48 PM

Every one of these “reporters” had the same superior smirk on their stupid faces.

What’s with that?

I can just see them all now on Nov 5th, when they lose this thing, as they huddle in their cubicles rocking back and forth repeating to themselves, “I tried to do my duty…I tried to do my duty…for the ‘one’.”

Over.

1GooDDaDDy on October 21, 2008 at 4:50 PM

Wurzelbacher/Munoz ‘24! (No, Munoz isn’t a natural-born citizen. But when has that ever stopped anybody?)

And David Corn proves why he’s named for a vegetable commonly embedded in feces.

Kafir on October 21, 2008 at 4:28 PM

That was the first thing I noticed too. What an idiot.

Although, perhaps I shouldn’t call him an “idiot”, because in the past, whenever I’ve seen David Corn, I’ve actually (really) wondered if he wasn’t at least slightly retarded. There is something not right about this guy, and I can’t quite put my finger on it.

That said, it’s pretty sad that he had to talk to someone who barely speaks English to make himself sound remotely intelligent.

Tito is right, Obama is a soseealist. Tito and Joe need to be placed somewhere in the McCain administration.

I think there was a tingle down David Corn’s leg, I mean a “tinkle”. That’s what you get when you leave the bubble of stupidity and go out in the REAL WORLD, Corn!
Working people don’t want socialism.
They don’t want to give up their hard earned money to pay for some waste of air slug sitting on their couch, popping out kids, and waiting for their welfare check to come in the mail.

HornetSting on October 21, 2008 at 5:01 PM

Good for those people for standing up! There needs to be more pushback like this against the media!

CP on October 21, 2008 at 5:02 PM

Damn yo. A black lady, a Hispanic guy, who is not hating the media on their take-down of Joe the Plumber? Corn just ends up looking like a douche.

“Do you pay your taxes? Well, Joe didn’t.”

Wow, and we care why? What a fuggin douche.

Seixon on October 21, 2008 at 5:05 PM

Someone asked why Munoz had come to the rally. “I support McCain, but I’ve come to face you guys because I’m disgusted with you guys,” he said. “Why the hell are you going after Joe the Plumber? Joe the Plumber has an idea. He has a future. He wants to be something else. Why is that wrong? Everything is possible in America. I made it. Joe the Plumber could make it even better than me. . . . I was born in Colombia, but I was made in the U.S.A.”

I can answer this. They go after Joe the plumber because he dares to think he can make it on his own without handouts from the state. If everyone realizes they can do this the Dems have no platform left.

Buford on October 21, 2008 at 5:06 PM

This is absolutely 100% right on! If the press wants to be in bed with the Democrat party then they need to be attacked just like any other political party! They want to maintain the respectability of a so called free press, while they in fact are on one side! Good for these people! More heroes in America!!!

Nothing changes and won’t till people stop watching their news. Advertisers/money is what it’s all about.
They are not interested in reporting truth & fairness.
Less viewers and less money for adds is what it’s all about.
You don’t like what you see and hear than if enough people TUNE THEM OUT now and in the future there will be a change. You’ll get their attention when their numbers drop even more than thay already have.
In the meantime, there is more than enough news, on the net, and their is always C-Span.

That, or Secretary of Labor.

On another note, a friend from Illinois (knowing is vote goes to the bottom of the Chicago River) sends me the following:

On television today, a Democratic operative pointed out that when Obama holds a rally, 25,000-30,000 people show up, whereas when McCain holds one, he draws only 10,000-15,000.

The Republican spokesman replied, “That’s because McCain’s supporters are at work.”

drjohn on October 21, 2008 at 5:36 PM

Someone needs to make an “I am Joe the Plumber” ad. Start it off with the clip of Barack and Joe’s exchange, then something about what’s been done to Joe and then a bunch of people like this crowd saying “I am Joe the Plumber” and the last one saying “I am Joe the Plumber and I’m voting for John McCain because I can’t afford Barack Obama for president.” Or something like that. People identify with JTP.

You’re being more rhetorical than Mr. Corn is capable is.

It is Mother Jones.

The only thing louder than Obama slapping the back of Joe Bidens head after his latest gaff is the sound of a door at a liberal periodical slamming in the face of a conservative journalist. You have to pass a litmus test.

That crack about Joe not paying taxes is the classic untruthful dig that Libs excel at. My first year owning a business, I fell short on my taxes and had to catch-up. If anyone had accused me of dodging my taxes because of that, I can’t imagine how I would have reacted.
