Video: The obligatory “Palin protesters versus Colorado cops” clip

A quickie to clear the mind and the palate on this slow news Tuesday. No one was arrested because the cops had to rejoin the motorcade, but they’re looking for suspects.

After you’re done, have a look at this — which I’ve seen flagged by no one except Ben Smith, who, as a commenter notes, treats it as an almost quaint example of New York culture — and ponder the cable news reaction if some righty group ran a similar graphic of The One.

Just a taste of things to come when ‘the one’ loses this race.

“Phrase the lord and pass the ammunition”.

Over.

Know what the difference is between a dead hippie on the road and a dead deer on the road is?

There are skid marks in front of the deer.

Dogpile on the rabbit!

Where’s Homer Simpson as Mr. Plow?

These morons are lucky they live in the US. Any other country the police would beat the living days out of them.

“This King guy supposedly organized some protests in the 60’s or something.”

Yes, without King we never would have had Jesse Jackson, Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan and the whole race baiting, corrupt and incompetent Congressional Black Caucus.

Without these clowns and the entire worthless Democrat Party “Great Society” the black family might still be intact.

King was a good man, but suffice to say, if he was here today to see what the carrion did to his legacy, he would be sorry he did what he did.

Civil rights era black mayors and white liberals destroyed the black family.

Pretty sure he’s been rolling enough in his grave to power a small city.

“an almost quaint example of New York culture”
Does it matter to Obama supporters?

I did a quick survey of counties around the Cleveland, OH area of houses with a Obama sign. Less than 1% of houses with Obama signs had an American flag while over 20% of the homes with a McCain sign had an American flag out.
Does that have any significance?

The media is biased against life choicers, always painting them as violent, ignorant, uneducated, Fascist, forcing women to become pregnant and have babies, all while abortion choicers also engage in propagating scientifically inaccurate information (baby is not alive, is not human, is only potential life, or a potential human, or calling baby a blob of goo, or a clump of cells, or a “pre-embryo,” etc., all scientifically inaccurate, false terms).

The media exaggerate claims that life choicers engage in violent attacks, when, in reality there are few, while the media ignores the extremely high number of violent episodes perpetrated by abortion choicers who run down pro-lifers with their cars, attack pro-lifers who are driving with their children in their car to the supermarket, attacking them for displaying a pro-life bumper sticker, and harass, coerce, beat, and murder women who refuse to abort.

The balance of violence and bad behavior is strongly that of abortion choicers.

In the same way, the press fails to acknowledge Bush Derangement Syndrome, but they choose, instead, to amplify it and propagate it.

The press also ignores the extreme hatred, racism, violence, and misogynist behavior, words, and attacks perpetrated by the left-liberal-Democrat side of the fence.

Here we see a clear attack on Sarah Palin’s motorcade, blocking traffic is a form of attack, and should not be treated with kid gloves, but I doubt that the media will say much about this, if they say anything at all, and I expect that, if they talk about it, they will probably choose to accent that the police violently attacked these terrorists, for that is what they are engaging in, and the story will be about how Sarah Palin caused a violent attack and that police were engaged in another case of Police Brutality.

I think I saw an imminent threat to Governor Palin.

…which calls for baton action. Let’s see some.

MadisonConservative on October 21, 2008 at 2:23 PM

Yep, hell if it were the 60’s it wouldn’t matter if there was an imminent threat or not, there would be some cracked skulls regardless!

Why do they drag them by the the backs of their shirt collars??? If they’re lying in the street drag them face down and by the ankles !!!

Just an FYI, that title should probably read “ANTI-Palin Protestors”… as it is now, “Palin Protesters”, sounds like Palin supporters to a headline skimmer.

RightWinged on October 21, 2008 at 4:54 PM

That was delightful. I too, would have found it hard to not speed up if I were the lead driver. Only in America can stupid hippies play chicken with an SUV.

DRywall on October 21, 2008 at 3:34 PM

Yeah. How’s that dream working out? 99.99% percent of all blacks voting for him are voting based on race alone. Martin Luther King would have been so proud. So much for judgment based on character and not the color of one’s skin.

Every black dude and liberal nitwit in the country is voting for him and no matter how many I talk to, no one has an answer to “Why?” Ask an Obama supporter why they support him. Ask them to name a single policy that Obama has. Ask them what they think of Obama’s foreign policy. Ask them to name one, just one, accomplishment of Obama.

Pisses them off when they can’t think of anything. I do it every chance I get. Sometimes I even get a “I didn’t know” when I start informing them of who and what Obama really is.

You want to know the #1 answer I get when I ask someone why they support Obama? He’s cool. That’s it. They will vote for him just as Hollywood has trained them.

Thanks to the Libtards, the Presidency has been denigrated to the latest episode of American Idol.

Why? Because he would prefer Jim Crow laws and lynchings to continue? Don’t downplay the horrors of segregation, racism, and jim crow.

NoDonkey on October 21, 2008 at 4:10 PM

Well said. Dr. King pretty much spoke against what “civil rights leaders” have been doing for decades.

Content of character > color of skin.

Grafted on October 21, 2008 at 5:12 PM

Blake on October 21, 2008 at 5:10 PM

I don’t think anyone here would try to say that mistreatment against blacks was a good thing. There were much need changes that happened.

The ultimate goals of Dr. King and the methods of achieving them were very honorable. Many prominent black “leaders” today go far beyond what King would likely approve of.

Grafted on October 21, 2008 at 5:17 PM

Has there ever been a bigger bunch of religious zealots in the history of this nation than the Liberals? Seriously. James Jones followers have got nothing on these guys.

watson007 on October 21, 2008 at 5:59 PM

Those Colorado cops need to take a lesson from a kinder and gentler Democrat… Daley from Chicago in ‘68. If they had used those techniques, they wouldn’t have to search for suspects… they would all be in hospitals getting stitches.

They dragged them the wrong way! Under the Bus! How many times do I have to tell you under the Bus!

serenity on October 21, 2008 at 6:22 PM

My parents attended that rally, they loved it! Grand Junction is not a bad town,..just a few bad apples! You know,… if this was any other country they would have just kept going,..and might have backed up a few times!

christene on October 21, 2008 at 2:48 PM

I was at the rally also. Huge turnout! Estimates between 16,000 and 22,000… and this is only a town of 50,000. I make my own schedule for work so I was able to go early and find a place near the stage. The First Dude shook my hand and Hank said hi to me. Got to see Sarah up close as well. It was a great time! Oh, and Barry was here a month ago and only drew a crowd of 5-6k.

Oh, Absolutely Too Harsh!

There weren’t enough Stalinist **ck protesters blocking the Palin motorcade.

Would’ve been a waste of perfectly good ammo.

Notice there was none of that crap in Colorado Springs? That’s why I live here and not in Grand Junction.

RMCS_USN on October 21, 2008 at 7:46 PM

The Springs is nice, but I was at the rally there a month ago and the freaks and geeks were out and about there too. Although, granted, no one rushed the motorcade. But anyway, don’t knock Junction too hard. We still have a lot of wonderful conservative people here and Mesa County will assuredly go McCain/Palin. We aren’t Boulder by any stretch of the means.

ha!!!!!! SWEET! Those Officers did a GREAT job!!!!!

tx2654 on October 22, 2008 at 2:01 AM

The only thing I can say is that the motorcade should have stopped, Palin should have got out and asked them politely to move out of the way.

If they refused to move, she should have then told them that, given that she was a candidate for VP and that she would be treated the same as Joe Biden, the police would remove them.

If the STILL refused to move, the protesters should have been removed with prejudice.

Show decency, show class, and then get them the hell out of the way, no matter what it takes.
