All we can do folks is go down swinging but I can tell you the voters don;t seem to give a damn of jumping from the frying pan into the fire. A combination of tactics may very well win this for him, which, if the voters truely were deciding this, no slick tactics would be needed. We just may need to stock up on food and gas masks, masking tape and plastic. Its gonna be a rough ride for the next 4 years and with gods help either he wont win, he’ll be impeached, or we’ll make it through it.

Be also afraid of Hillary getting a Supreme Court position. That will prolong the agony certainly.

Cindy, like I said, I read what Byron York wrote before the CNN guy made hay with it. I knew it was trouble. York was in part giving voice to to the persistent, nasty backstabbing of Palin that some of his “elite” RINO peers at NRO had already uttered–”Nutso” Buckley, Kathleen Parker, Frum and even the ed. in chief Rich Lowry, who not one month ago declared Palin “finished” in national politics, as if he has any say in the matter. York tried to play to the “cancer” crowd, without actually saying he was with ‘em. Weak, very weak. He set himself, and Sarah, up for for the CNN hit piece. York is way too experienced, and too careful normally, to claim that he was just taken out of context. That’s why he earned a big FU, in my book.

I think you are being a little rough on Byron, I think his point was that it was ridiculous to expect her to be a pro on the national level right off the bat but just as ridiculous to discount all she had accomplished at the state level and deny the obvious potential. At least that was my read.

First, no question the CNN guy yanked Byron York’s remarks out of context. What byron wrote was more ambiguous, intentionally so I think….

But second, FU Byron York for writing what you wrote. I cringed when I read it–just so easy to twist and be understood as a brutal backstabbing. York is normally a careful guy; and here, it is clear to me he was playing to both sides, the pro-Sarah folks like us at the grass roots level, and the stuffed shirt head-up-butt assh*les that run Nat’l Review right now. Again, Byron, thanks for nothing.
