Quote of the day
posted at 10:20 pm on October 21, 2008 by Allahpundit
“If it wasn’t for Sarah Palin, I’d move to f***in’ Sweden…
John McCain, God bless you for discovering a Republican with massive amounts of balls. The good governor, Sarah Palin, is the bureaucrat-crushing, status quo-punching conservative that I’ve been looking for. I knew of her before John did, I had worked with Gov. Palin on numerous issues up in Alaska, where she proved she was a ‘we the people’ person and not a bureaucrat monger. We are voting Republican this year, not because of John McCain as much as for Sarah Palin.”

If McCain wins it will be because of Sarah Palin, if he loses it will be becuase of himself.

If McCain loses, this is going to be the reasoning that caused it.

Let’s see if Laura Ingraham can muster a “Shut up and sing” for ole Ted.
Thanks Ted for speaking up. We don’t need celebrities to shut up. We need more of them to speak up. Just quit with the threats of leaving. Let the libs abandon ship. We need all the fighters we can get.

Not to worry,The Race Card – for every one Laura to scold Ted, there will be two dozen on the left, democrats and in the media (who are also democrats) who will take care of that for her.

The great thing about Palin is that she is all upside.
All this experience she is getting about the MSM media from being on the firing squad this past 6 or 7 weeks is great.
She is only going to improve and if she ever gets on her own without being someones understudy I expect lots of great republican red meat.
She has to learn that there is not a downsode to attacking some media puke to there face. If she had called Katie Couric a pig to her face her favorables would actually be higher not lower.
Nobody likes these people. There are so called conservative media I can’t stand.
She should just load the gun and start firing in all directions

No kidding… Team McCain had 2 opportunities to really remake themselves policy and message wise… after he got the nomination and after/around the convention… after the convention there was a huge opportunity to remake everything and really nab new demographics… but the people running this campaign seem to be blind to opportunity… this campaign is like a mashup of Dukakis and Bush circa 2004… Noonan had the right question after the convention… is this 1980 or 2008?…

Sad, the last quote, above.
p.s. his “If it wasn’t for Sarah Palin, I’d move to f***in’ Sweden…” is silly, and defeating much of what he said, if he’d stop thinking about it. But he’s forgiven for much other that he pointed out, simply and directly.

Anyone in the mood for some Palin Poetry? Ordinarily I would keep it to myself since I know it doesn’t do her justice, but in the interest of provoking someone with talent to take a stab here goes.
A cool breeze from Wasilla
Has everyone excited
Sensible people everywhere
Feel more and more united
The Artic Fox, with style and grace
among her many talents
Intelligence with a lovely face
Has brought our ticket balance
Thank you Senator John McCain
For your inspired choice
So many of us felt so alone
Now we feel we have a voice
So let us now do battle
with the socialist jackass
With John and Sarah in the saddle
We can easily show more class
Win or lose, we’ll fight the fight
With hearts so full of gladness
The right now has a guiding light
To banish any sadness
Saracudah! Saracudah!
Let it ring across the land
Saracudah! Saracudah!

2 questions Bradky, if I take that assertion at face value.
1- Does that mean he shouldn’t speak his opinion, or do you think it should be discounted because he’s a hypocrite?
2- Believe in redemption? (here, not upstairs)

1. Everyone has the right to speak their opinion. I discount it because I view him as a hypocrite of the first order – his remarks about the 50 caliber were disgusting.
2. Redemption here? I won’t dissuade those who give him a pass but to me he is on the same level as Fonda and everyone who went to Canada to wait it out. When it comes to Viet Nam I am a bit myopic about things like that. 58,000 people did what they were asked and never returned. It is personal I guess.
