Awesome. A mother on one of the talk radio shows here gave the same example to her daughter. Her daughter came home with her paycheck and Mom told her to give $20.00 to her brother because he doesn't have a job. She explained that what Obama would do and that why there is a McCain /Plalin sign in her front yard.

I voted today. I voted for McCain and Palin twice. I inked in the little box and when I finished the entire ballot, I inked the McCain/Palin box again. Sorry, that's the best I could do. Tennessee would only allow me one ballot. I did have to either show a driver's license or a voter registration card. Without a voter card, one's drivers license is comapared to the registration list - no match no vote.

Tennessee is a state that may go to McCain 60/40. Obamma will probably carry Shelby County (Memphis) - big deal. There are some counties in upper East Tennessee where Obamma will get at least one vote, maybe.

It is funny how all these liberals in liberal states and cities wear Obama '08 buttons and then congratulate themselves on their 'courage'. Try wearing a McCain-Palin button in a latter place on the Upper West Side - now that would be courageous!

<blockquote>Even though I am a conservative, I remember working my rump off back in the day for my tips. If someone would have said that to me…. they might be wearing their lunch/dinner… or accidentally taking something else home besides food.

I don't think he would have done it if the waitress hadn't been wearing an Obama tie. Since I can't see you wearing one I don't think you would have had anything to fear :)

Absolutely Fantastic! Nothing teaches better than a harsh example. Like Anna stated. <blockquote>Let us hope your lesson sinks in before the election.

Oh, and I did my stint as a waitress myself, back in the day. Tips were earned, never expected. Too many in the service industy expect them nowadays, no matter how crappy their service is. Dude shouldn't be wearing a political tie to work, and not expect some sort of blowback.

Or, I could just be in a mean mood right now. : |

Redistribution of wealth

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign the read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed--just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as Ive decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

OR IS IT.........REDISTRIBUTION OF SOMEONE ELSE'S WEALTH IS A GREAT IDEA..............or just a fools political game !!

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign the read “Vote Obama, I need the money.” I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a “Obama 08″ tie, again I laughed–just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

No, Captain, Joe was in a rope line. He could have stayed on his lawn, but he went over and talked to Obama. Joe approached Obama -- he's said that on at least one talk show.

Joe, for better or for worse, is now in the public spotlight, and his blaming Obama and McCain for dealing with him rather than dealing with substantive issues is disingenuous -- Joe's question IS a substantive issue, as every conservative will avow, and every liberal will disavow.

If Joe were a multi-millionaire, or a guy who claimed destitution while his kids attended a swank private school, then the character assassination might make sense -- but Joe is a single dad, with debt problems, trying to make ends meet, and dreaming of a brighter future, which he felt might be blighted by Obama's new programs. That Obama confirmed Joe's worst fears is the topic of the day.

When Senator Government has a problem with you, you're supposed to lie down and take it.

I don't think anything is more telling then Joe the plumber. This election is defined by him. Question Obama and you are vilified, anoint him and you are honored.
Here is a private citizen, asking a simple question.
When at the beginning Obama said he would not be "swiftboated", that any attempt would be met with force. That the lesson of Kerry was that any attack needs to be not just defended, but the attacker needs to be destroyed, is carried out to the extreme. And it has worked, every attack has been met with a counter attack, even an honest question from a citizen.
Even rising to the point of Obama not having to answer any questions at all now form anyone.
He has taken the tact of the "Nation of Islam", any one attacking will be destroyed, and defamed...and the MSM cannot attack Islam, cannot attack Farrakahn, cannot attack Obama.
