Maybe we can get one of Obama having head beaten in by Joe the Plumber.

Or would THAT be wrong?

drjohn on October 19, 2008 at 3:06 PM

My God that was scary…can someone explain what that was supposed to be?

CCRWM on October 19, 2008 at 3:07 PM

I actually jumped it scared me so!

That is horrific!

freeus on October 19, 2008 at 3:07 PM

What would have been the reaction by the MSM if a big white guy had done something like this to Michelle Obama?

jed58 on October 19, 2008 at 3:08 PM

Was that filmed in Manhattan? Sandra Bernhard was right!

joewm315 on October 19, 2008 at 3:08 PM

BTW

“Instead, I’d pronounce the need for change,” he wrote. “Change in the White House, where Reagan and his minions were carrying on their dirty deeds. Change in the Congress, compliant and corrupt. Change in the mood of the country, manic and self-absorbed. Change won’t come from the top, I would say. Change will come from a mobilized grass roots.

“That’s what I’ll do, I’ll organize black folks. At the grass roots. For change.”

Sadly I can see Katie Couric and CBS helping to set this up.

William Amos on October 19, 2008 at 3:10 PM

A metaphor for Douthat or Ambinder? I don’t see Sully in the video.

Sully doesn’t even have the cojones to allow comments on his blog. I doubt that he could take Palin down. Sully’s modus operandi is that of a sniper, anyway.

Terrie on October 19, 2008 at 3:10 PM

Metaphor Indeed.

WTF is wrong with these people ?

crom on October 19, 2008 at 3:11 PM

Whoa! Didn’t see that one coming…

CliffHanger on October 19, 2008 at 3:11 PM

Ha oh man, that’s “Terrible Terry Tate”. Google Terry Tate Office Linebacker. It’s funny stuff.

This is only funny if they do it to both candidates…

Dash on October 19, 2008 at 3:12 PM

Um, that was very disturbing. Quite shocking, actually.

ConMom on October 19, 2008 at 3:13 PM

This is an old schtick, Terry Tate – he would tackle people in an office setting. Everyone, regardless of gender, was terrified of him. They would cower in the corner if he caught them wasting office supplies or failing to recycle or something (IIRC) – it’s supposed to be funny, and the old, generic office ones kind of are, actually.

Applying this schtick to tackling a woman who is running against Obama is in poor taste, however.

Obama’s agenda is liberal. He’s not interested in sacrificing his values, nor will he be swayed by public opinion polls, those who work with him say.

Ibid.

drjohn on October 19, 2008 at 3:24 PM

I saw this earlier, well I saw of it earlier. Can’t watch, I guess I have no sense of humor. I can’t watch Funniest Home Videos either.

Cindy Munford on October 19, 2008 at 3:24 PM

Is this suppose to be funny?? I big hulk of a man tackles a mock-up of Sarah Palin to the ground with enough force that it would have killed her had it been real???
Am I suppose to laugh?
Maybe a spot on a pretend gang rape would be in order too.

JellyToast on October 19, 2008 at 3:25 PM

Some background on “Terry Tate”:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRkiouh5NEI

and…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsqjM9AEqlU

Obviously it’d be funnier (to us) if Tate was tackling Obama or Biden, but still…lighten up a little bit everyone.

nickj116 on October 19, 2008 at 3:28 PM

Woah, how come I never saw that bit about Obama bashing Reagan before?!

AubieJon on October 19, 2008 at 3:28 PM

Pfft, it’s Terry Tate, it’s instant funny.

I got’s to say I was more expecting him to tackle the other one. But oh well. I’m certain he still works for an equal opportunity employer, right?

Shy Guy on October 19, 2008 at 3:31 PM

Pfft, it’s Terry Tate, it’s instant funny.

Terry Tate skits were all about retribution. This is not. It’s nothing more then the left’s fantasy of violence against people they disagree with.

SouthernGent on October 19, 2008 at 3:35 PM

Is this suppose to be funny?? I big hulk of a man tackles a mock-up of Sarah Palin to the ground with enough force that it would have killed her had it been real???

Since deadly force is funny, now I want to see the video of Gov. Palin blowing Terry Tate’s face off like he was a moose.

CanadianGuy on October 19, 2008 at 3:37 PM

I’m tired of the clips that mock, poke and kick conservatives. I love humor as much as the next guy,,, this isn’t funny.
Yes,, it was violent. If that was my wife or my mother or my sister, I would not think it was funny. Seeing Sarah Palin smashed to the ground by some idiot while Katie Couric just stands by is not my idea of humor. It’s the kind of thing I would expect on some wacko nut site.

JellyToast on October 19, 2008 at 3:37 PM

Fortunata on October 19, 2008 at 3:46 PM

Okay. Then let’s see him tackle Barack Obama.

We’ll wait.

I hope he does. I’m actually revising my original statement to say this clip is prety awful. I mean, he tackles women in his “office” clips, but this is different. This is almost hateful.

His “office” clips are still top notch though. Hilarious stuff.

Dubai Ports rejection helped US economic growth

http://www.enterstageright.com/archive/articles/0307/0307dubaiportsrejec.htm

==============================

Reject Barack Hussein Obama, the Dubai candidate, and help US economic growth!

Obama is a national threat:

Quote from the Barack Obama book, Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama: “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

And this man wants to be President? I and several tens of millions of people think NOT.

I really did throw up all over the monitor with that one…

“This is almost hateful.” nickj: the rage is what triggered my gag reflex. Maybe you love that ‘man’ too much.
I wonder what newspaper he reads…if he can.

Christine on October 19, 2008 at 3:53 PM

Sarah Palin’s visit to “Saturday Night Live” drew the show’s highest overnight rating in 14 years.

Last night’s telecast, hosted by Josh Brolin and featuring musical guest Adele, averaged a 10.7 rating and 24 share in 56 metered markets, according to Nielsen Media Research. That’s the highest overnight ‘SNL’ average since a 1994 episode that was hosted by Nancy Kerrigan and featured musical guest Aretha Franklin.

nickj116 on October 19, 2008 at 3:57 PM

Not impressed by that guy. While I know that seeing Barry as president is a nightmare come true, the tons of hateful BS that Sarah and John would have to put up with is almost twice as bad. The left would hound them like pack animals.

But, Obama must be defeated, and if he is not, we must keep up the fight to expose him for what he really is until he is impeached.

mindhacker on October 19, 2008 at 4:01 PM

This video is another thing that just justifies Powell’s obervation at the great vitriol, bile, and prejudice against… Obama. How DARE the Republican party be this racist!

/sarcasm

Enoxo on October 19, 2008 at 4:06 PM

Can you imagine a white guy (in a similar fake video situation) doing that to Obama?
Can you imagine the racist screams from the media and the black community.
But it is okay for a black guy to beat down a white woman…let alone a woman running for office of Vice-President?

Why aren’t the Secret Service arresting this guy for inciting violence against a Vice-Presidential candidate???

albill on October 19, 2008 at 4:06 PM

Extremely poor taste for a radio ad. Physical violence (even simulated) between a man and a woman (especially a VP candidate) is not funny. I was watching the Graham Norton Show last night featuring Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous) and Cyndi Lauper. Cyndi went into a tirade regarding Palin as totally unqualified for VP and compared her to Quayle, Jennifer admitted the Couric Palin interview was too painful to watch. Graham Norton turned to his computer screen and brought up the Craigslist Ad for a Sarah Palin look-a-like to star in a porn film. Jennifer and Cyndi both found the idea of a Palin porn film as tasteless and objectionable and didn’t think it was funny.

Man, there are a bunch of nancies on this forum.
nickj116 on October 19, 2008 at 3:37 PM

I have no problem with comical depictions of violence when necessary. In my past, I even participated in it’s use at times. I am no “Nancy” when it comes down to it by evidence of the countless physical scares and broken bones throughout my battered body.

Here’s my however,

5 years ago I was falsely accused of domestic violence by my now ex-wife and was roughed up by a half dozen sheriffs deputies and thrown in jail for 4 days.
It was the first time in my life I had any dealings with the police.
All charges against me were dropped
because of the lie so on the 5th day and I was released. The stigma of that event has haunted me in court now for over 5 years.

I lost everything
I worked hard for all of my life because of that one false accusation. It didn’t matter that I did nothing wrong, only the accusation was enough to have me ostracized.

Violence towards women is taken seriously in this country, and even simulated violence should not be seen as “funny” or tolerated.

Over.

I do love this perception, that for SarahCuda, who is from way,way up north, that its of the land of the sticks, the
extreme wilds, the boonys, and in such, cut off from the
outside world,WTF!

Wouldn’t it be a better question,from Katie, like,do you
get any print up here,do they actually deliver any news
paper or magazines!

‘Your world view’,and again,is Katie trying to make it sound
like SarahCuda is on an ice flow,in an Igloo, with carrier
Arctic ducks as ‘pidgeons for communication’!!

And the smack from the football player, just reverse it with
Obama,that was extremely distrubing!!!

And the Femenazi’s are silent, like a lonely loon on a lake,
only to listen to its own echo reverberating around the
misty morning of said lake!!!!!!

I’m with you. Everyone needs to lighten up.

You know what would be even funnier?

If Palin made a mock video where she sneaks around a corner when Tate wasn’t looking. Then, she raises a baseball bat up over her head, and takes a full swing with it and cracks it right across the side of his head.

“CRACK”

Then Tates eyes cross as he drops to his knees [add
laughter]

Then she winds up for another one and smacks him so hard to the back of his head, that his whole body crashes to the floor, face down [roaring laughter].

Then, Palin, after she looks at her nails to make sure she didn’t break one, she continues to beat his head in with the bat

“CRACK!” “SMACK!” “THUNK!”. Blood flies everywhere.

*ROTFLMAO Tears in my eyes from. laughing. so. hard.*
