Poll: 64% of Democrats view Joe the Plumber unfavorably
posted at 7:00 pm on October 19, 2008 by Allahpundit
Via JWF. Anyone surprised? He supports the mission in Iraq, he asks Obama uncomfortable questions, and he doesn’t even go by his first name. What’s not to hate?
Note the demographic crosstabs, too. 63 percent of Americans under 30 agree with The One about spreading the wealth? Game over, man.
Here’s his sitdown this morning on Fox & Friends, which I think you’ll find more edifying than the Huckabee window dressing. Note how he mentions in passing that his company’s been shut down. Exit question: If Democrats dislike him so much, why is The One trying so hard to coopt his brand?

Blowback

The reason Dems hate him is that he wants to succeed without relying on the government. That’s the mortal sin.

So? What percentage of those welfare putzes actually get off their rumps and actually go vote for socialism? Historically, not many.
That said, this just shows that the liberal indoctrination camps – aka our public school system and Universities – have been successful at brainwashing our younger generation. We have a LOT of work to do in order to get this society back to good again.

Just as with Gov. Palin, the left doesn’t like real Americans. They’re un-American, and true Americans scare them.
And, as with Gov. Palin, the left can’t stand the truth. Truth to them is the same as holy water to demons – dangerous and painful.

Because he’s running one of the sleaziest campaigns in history. Effective, but sleazy. My wife has never voted (R) before, but she is this year. Talking about Obama literally sends her into a bout of ODS.
The more people learn about Obama the less they like him. He’s probobly going to be able to run the clock out, though.

I am seeing some troubling trends with some teens these days. When I was 17, I couldn’t wait to get out of the house and make my own way (my dad was very conservative, and taught me well that the world did NOT owe me a living), but it seems like a lot of kids now just want to live with their parents indefinitely, and expect everything to be paid for by someone else.
I suppose if you haven’t yet experienced the pride and sense of freedom you get from making it on your own, when someone is promising you some money straight out of Bill Gates’ wallet, it sounds pretty good.
capitalist piglet on October 19, 2008 at 7:17 PM
No, I didn’t like it either. It broke the flow of the interview. I wasn’t real fond of the “plumber’s tip” segment either. Someone on that show is as shallow as a kiddie pool. JTP is a serious person with a serious message. Would they ask Gen Petraeus how to polish his boots to a spit shine?
But even at that, Joe looked cool, calm, and collected and hasn’t been intimidated by the awesomely awesome awesomeness of The Messiah and his minions of media attack dogs.

The examples are nearly endless, but an amusing recent fact to note:
Fox News was the only network to cover this. Not that this democrat sex scandal is vital to all of America to know about, but this goes to the point that while all the liberals who denounce Fox for being biased – it’s painfully obvious that the others are more biased for democrats and against republicans, ten fold than any bias Fox as shown if any.

I have little doubt that 63% of Americans under 5 believe in Santa Clause, but that doesn’t mean anything significant is occurring between generations. Being a pinko-commie in your 20s and not going straight until 30 has been so common for so long that it’s a cliché. Georges Clemenceau said:
Don’t worry that most Americans under 30 are socialists. Worry about one particular individual who is in his late 40s, is still a socialist, and is on the verge of being elected President (and not by 20-something socialists alone).

The college glut caught up to us. It used to be that few went to college, so degrees were in high demand. Now everyone is pressured to go to college, which results in a ton of people with debt they can’t afford, many of whom didn’t come out with degrees, and others who have lovely little degrees in English literature and Philosophy who can’t find jobs because they spent 5-7 years never going to class and getting wasted every night.
Naturally we want our cut. What, you expect us to work?
…I really, really, really hate my worthless generation. We’re going to be the downfall of this nation, but we thankfully won’t notice because we’ll be plugged into our IPods, buying 300 dollar jeans on credit cards and sucking down diet soda while we browse for houses we can’t afford that we’ll just get subprime loans for.
And most of us bristle at the thought of voting in every election we can at every level of government, owning a gun, recognizing that racist and sexist and homophobic speech should remain protected speech, and that our parents are not supposed to take care of us after we turn 18.
More than anything, we recognize that Christianity is a horrible oppressive religion full of zealots and bigots and should be outlawed, but Islam is THE religion of peace and anyone who points out the religion of suicide bombers is an islamophobe and deserves to be sued by CAIR and locked away in the infidel prison while they await their sentence of beheading, drawing and quartering, or being thrown off a fucking cliff.
To be honest, I yearn for hippies. They were so much better.
I just hope something happens, and whatever it is, it takes enough life and causes enough damage that each and every one of my peers takes a good long look at how goddamned good they have it here, and stop taking it for granted.

Quick anecdote. I took my car into the dealership to have it worked on. When I got into the waiting room, I was confronted by a kid (about two yrs or so younger than me, so mid twenties) and a woman in her late forties. Both wanted me to join them in a political discussion. This was just after Congress passed the 700 bil. bailout pkg. They were both very very pissed. They couldn’t stand Obama and the Democrats, and were both talking, oh let’s just say “revolutionary-ish”. I found it astonishing, because although I’m used to those kind of fervent political discussions on forums such as this, this was the first time it ever happened randomly with two strangers at a car dealership of all places! Within ten minutes the kids car was ready, and then about ten mins. after that her car was ready. It was very strange/refreshing/eye opening. Things are taking root out there, and it seems as though lines are beginning to be drawn. The next two years are going to be very very interesting.

It’s not what Joe asked.
The importants thing is Obama’s answer.
Spreading the wealth.
Joe is just a symbol. He could be anyone out there that dreams of unlimited success in life as any american should.
Obama says that’s OK but only to a certain point and then we will punish you for it with higher taxes. Your money, in turn, will not go for defense or infrastructure of the country. Your hard earned money, in turn, will be spent at the governments own discretion.
This is not what the founders of this country intended.
The way I see it-Obama wants to discourage success and encourage failure.

I almost get tired of making the comparisons, but Jessie Macbeth comes to mind. This tool nearly turned the war upside down with his claims of being a US Army Ranger in Fallujah and committing war crimes with his unit. Nothing from the media until he was exposed by on-line bloggers. But the MSM liked the IVAW and their good work so there was just nothing to be said about this clown. His story and his uniform was so ridiculous any High School news paper could have outed this guy. Just didn’t meet the standard of liberal reporting.
So we have this hard working American father who dare ask Obama a question when he walks up into his yard and we…must…destroy …him.

Things would be a lot different, if:
Every time you got a paycheck, your employer wrote you a check for the gross; and you had to cut checks to the government for their share.
That number would be like 5% at most.
Too many taxes are hidden, so people barely realize they pay them. That’s their insidious nature.

Thousands of academics have signed an online petition in support of Bill Ayers, the 1960s-radical-turned-college professor whose ties to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama were a matter of hot dispute in Wednesday night’s debate.
The petition, which has circulated through university faculties across the nation, says critics of Ayers, an education professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, are trying to “intimidate free thinking and stifle critical dialogue.”

Joe’s now an official self-enterprising TV shill. Fox must think everyone is as stupid as the average Limbaugh caller…

If conservatives can’t rip control of our education system out of the claws of liberals, it will be.

The only spreading is going to be of their butt cheeks as the socialist entitlement crowd pounds every last dollar out of sorry misguided asses. We’ll be next if we allow it to happen. Time to consider the zero tax option, forget pitchforks, and ammunition, if we don’t pay, they don’t play!

Some 527 needs to come out strong in Joe’s defense.
Something about…. Average Joe had a chance to ask a potential President a question. What happened? They savagely attacked him, his family, and shut down his livlihood–putting him out of a job. Is this what will happen to all of us who ask a question after November 4th?
Defend Free Speech.
Defeat Obama.

Odious little troll, aren’t you?

The liberals have a pretty good system going: Use the public school system to dumb kids down; once that is done, use colleges and the MSM to indoctrinate them.
Obama is the inevitable result. Appears that, having been stripped of all ability to put two thoughts together, people are easily sold on an empty suit. And if you dare to question what he says, you are an instant public enemy.
I have seen prosperous countries turned into banana republics before, I hope we can reverse this mentallity before it happens to us.

The clips of the oh-so-arrogant Ivy League One mocking a plumber juxtapose very nicely with the conversation with Joe. What wonderful common sense and humility JTP exudes!
I’ll stand with Joe the Plumber anyday. It’s hard to believe that making fun of a working man is a winner tactic for the messiah.
