Sports sucks.

Playing sports are great…paying to watch sports, not so much.

I played college football. I learned alot about myself through athletics. But, my engineering degree has paid the bills no doubt. I still play city league basketball in a 35 year old and over league. Old farts shooting hoops, not for the faint of heart.

I hate sports. Waste of time and energy.

Paying to watch overgrown, steroid-pumped, prima-donna men in funny clothes–five percent of whom have criminal records–throwing a ball in a hoop, after I paid for their building with my tax dollars?

The sexiest combination in a man is one who is math/science oriented and a sports lover.

Heh. I would agree with this, bloghooligan. My husband is an engineer and played football and rugby. He’s now over 40 and still playing rugby on a city league in Houston, when he’s running not his geeky engineering firm. :)

I’m with you. I dated men who didn’t like sports and the reasons why weren’t very hard to figure out: they were never good at them.

Anything else is metrosexual (if not more) in my opinion.

Sorry, CC, but that sentiment was not only probably wrong (definitely in my case – I don’t enjoy sports at all. I am a girl tho.) but it is also fairly obnoxious. You know very little about the people you’re talking to, and yet you presume to make assumptions about their build and/or attractiveness. Very obnoxious.

Personally, the sexiest thing a man has EVER uttered to me is “The Superbowl is this weekend??” (And the man that uttered it is not only buff and VERY attractive, but he’s also one of the most intelligent men I’ve ever met. Bar none.) And men that spend a majority of their time playing/watching/talking about sports, turn me off. We all have our tastes, Sport.

Your opinions would mean more if you looked like a model for the cover of men’s health. Reality, is that you guys are most likely overweight men with low self-esteem. That is why your opinion is silly.

Reminds of this poindexter at work who insisted that he preferred fat women, and would make a point of talking about how women like Jennifer Aniston were gross. Channeling my inner bully, I told the guy that he was full of sheet and that he was only saying this garbage because deep down he knew he could never do any better than the fat girls so he came up with this phony fetish as cover for his own lack of good looks.

I am no sports pro, and I am no Brad Pitt, but I am adult and secure enough to recognize when I am outclassed in something and can give credit.
