McCain to Obama: Lay off Joe the Plumber

“Americans ought to be able to ask Senator Obama tough questions without being smeared and targeted with political attacks,” says Maverick, speaking for every conservative in America. Has The One’s campaign formally attacked J the P, though? I’d be shocked if they have, as that’s not their M.O. They like to leave the nastiest stuff, particularly in the racial vein, for their surrogates and for the media so that St. Barack can keep his hands clean. I assume Maverick’s accusing them of feeding oppo research on Wurzelbacher’s tax liens, etc, to the press under the radar, but even there I’m skeptical. Anyone think our very impartial media wasn’t willing to go dumpster diving on its own here?

Exit quotation: “Plunge the crap out of Washington.”

Update: A good point’s being raised in the comments that I should have mentioned myself. Given all the whining being done about Palin’s supposed failure to condemn viciousness at her rallies, why hasn’t The One politely asked the media to refrain from tearing a guy to pieces who had the temerity to ask him a question? Why is he content to let this go on? And yes, that’s a rhetorical question.

Despite your rush to judgment, I did not absolve O or the dems from their own responsibility, I was pointing out that McCain has some responsibility in this mess. He is not faultless - he knows how the media operates as well as anyone, and he knows that invoking Joe W. so many times during the debate was going to add blood to the media feeding frenzy. You can try to place all the blame on the media and leftists, but you are quite wrong. Some of that belongs to McCain.

Good point, troll, it should have been 30.

I’m sure Joe truly appreciates being dragged ever deeper into a dirty campaign cycle.

I’m sure Joe truly appreciates being dragged ever deeper into a dirty campaign cycle.

I’m sure you think that’s anybody’s fault but the people who are doing it, troll.

Jim Treacher on October 17, 2008 at 11:08 PM

I’m quite sure you haven’t figured out the meaning of taking responsibility, JT, but you have figured out how to use the false premise that only those who don’t agree with you have to take full responsibility for everything.

Your anger is deep, your intellect is drowning in the shallows.

The Democrats are such classy campaigners. - Terrye on October 17, 2008 at 9:31 PM

And I’m sure that TB is proud to be counted among their number.

Still dragging around your canards I see, ScrotalInfectitude. Must be tiresome.

Does “spread the wealth” include slave reperations Senator Government?

dhunter on October 17, 2008 at 4:30 PM

Actually, it does. Obama has stated he is for actions, not just words, in making up for such things as slavery and the way Native Americans have been treated. That’s a yes. Obama appears to be for reparations.

You can find the article on it in the Honolulu paper - I think it’s the Star Bulletin.

You all do realize, of course, that any, and I do mean any, criticism of President Obama will be met with cries of “racist” and “racism”. Why the heck do you think the MSM, the Democrat leadership and the far left “love” The One? If you think that Bill Clinton was made of teflon, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!

Ignorance, our most costly commodity - paraphrased from Rush Limbaugh.
