What, you didn’t know? Weren’t you informed? Millions of Democrats voted him in as their Presidential nominee!

The eduction system is supposed to teach our children the basics (reading, writing, and arithmetic) in the early years of development. Then, as they mature, to learn how to think critically about what they read, how write logically and persuasively, then to develop new things using quantitative formulas.

But, no where do you find history and how to live in a civil society given their due. We all know that history repeats itself (if we let it) and the United States allows its citizen to speak their mind freely as long as it is done in a civil manner.

Thus, how many readers of this post can remember that before you could graduate from High School you had to pass a civics test? What? another test to graduate and it is about civics.

Yes, and it was meant to make sure that you knew what was necessary to function as an adult in a free society governed by people whose ideas represent our own and those of our neighborhood – thus the term representative form of governance.

When Leno and others do “man (PC person) on the street” interviews, during election cycles, clearly show civics needs to be reintroduced into the curriculum of our schools. We cannot afford to continue sending our youngsters out into the ‘real’ world, where they are brainwashed by groups who want to take advantage of the uneducated.

It is our parental duty to insure our children know what their rights really are, and to responsibly exercise those rights based on their own clear judgment – not the brainwashing they receive today from those who only want the power to make you bend to their will.

Of course, we can’t really do that, but I still can’t help thinking that if we did a lot less liberals would get elected.

I would like to see a return to the Constitution, which means the federal government stays out of all labor questions. This would mean that it would be up to the individual employer (within any individual state’s restrictions) to determine their policies regarding substances–they could hire and fire as they saw fit. Employers look at the bottom line, and people using substances (whether alcohol or other drugs) simply don’t produce the same as others, ergo, they are not as employable. The penalties for using substances would then, ultimately, be self-imposed, and individuals would have to choose accordingly.

This is why our forefathers set up an Electoral College…

Actually, from what I remember from school, he’s right. The Electoral College was created so that the public would elect well informed electors who would then choose the president based on their superior knowledge.
I could probably look it up, but I think this changed about the same time Senators started being elected by popular vote instead of being appointed by state legislators.
(I think we should probably go back to that on the Senators. Make them ambassadors of the States to the federal government. Better yet, have them serve at the pleasure of the governors.)

That’s the problem though, I’m unaware of any test that can indicate the degree of how high someone is. With alcohol, a simple blood test can closely confirm how drunk someone actually is.

Here in DE., they draw blood and look for the % of THC in the bloodstream at that point in time when they are suspect.

Yes. Replace the current income tax and capital gains tax with a single Poll Tax. That would solve the voter fraud problem, the illegal aliens voting problem, the unfair taxation problem and poorly informed/educated voter problem.

Of course it’ll never happen short of revolution, but it’s a good idea to keep in mind for after the patriots overthrow the Obama dictatorship.
