So that’s where the rioting will begin.

I would dearly love to see the news coverage of that celebration turn riot on November 4th at 11:07pm.

It won’t be a victory party. If the local constabulary has any sense, they will start preparing the riot gear and laying up a supply of tear gas. It’s gonna get ugly in Grant Park late in the evening of November 4.

I believe the Japanese had a party planned for 6/8/42, the Germans for 2/4/43, and the Egyptians for 6/11/67.

How did that work out for them?

We also wondered how we could compete with his grand European tour and speech in Germany. How’d that work out for him? I think people will be angry he has pre-empted their programming.

jgapinoy on October 16, 2008 at 10:34 PM

A few things here. First of all, we vote. Obama’s chief base of support has one of the worst turn-out records in history, despite their insistance that they’ll turn out in hordes every election. Second of all, we donate. Finally, we remain calm. Obama already has his own channel on Dish Network and the media acts as his surrogates on a regular basis. I don’t think we’ll see any significant increase in support after the ad.

As there are sure to be riots and presumably deaths after the “party” starts, I have decided to continually read aloud from the New Testament, Timothy, Chapter 2, verses 16-18, until the rioting is over

You have been assigned to the job of manufacturing diptych’s, with names to be filled in later.

Sorry for the changes.

Speaking of the 30 minute infomercial, most people I have heard speak of it seem a little nonplussed by that idea. The reaction is sort of WTF?

And when they find out it will interfere with the series, they tend to be shocked that baseball would let it happen.

I am not an objective observer, but I think Obama is starting to get on people’s nerves.

I guess the idea of putting right before the sixth game is that people who want to see the game will be forced to watch it.

Not me. I will not have TV on that night.

Obama’s 30 minute spots? ***Yawn****

The electorate does not have a 30 min. attention span. He is wasting several million dollars. I say, good! Does anyone think that people will sit for 30 min. to listen to his “plan for America”? Puhleeze!

Illinois might be the most Dem-controlled state in the country these days, and he’ll win here by 15%, but he’s running commercials non-stop.

I guess he can’t figure out how else to spend the money.

Yeah, thirty minutes is a looooong time to listen to someone drone. I’ve got a feeling he will be repeating himself quite a bit.

A “Survivor” bit would be good with everyone goofing on Joe Biden and even Obama acting embarrassed when Joe tried to explain which article of the Constitution dictates the responsibilities of the VP. They could vote him off of the bus.

I release you from your penance. You have suffered enough. – Bishop on October 16, 2008 at 11:38 PM

Thank you, Your Grace.
