One alternative to allow absentee ballots is fingerprints on the ballots, on the registration form, and on the absentee ballot request. It’s already too late to implement except as a postmortem check on the election. Once it has taken place we are into Constitutional crisis stage.

It may already be too late to avoid it getting thrown into the House, which is as bad as letting it go ahead as it is now.

That’s wishful thinking by the O! campaign. The ACORN stuff is permeating the media now and shows every sign of gaining momentum — so Joe Sixpack will soon hear about it, if he hasn’t alreaday.

There is nothing more important to every day Americans than the concept of “fairness.” (That’s why negative campaigning is so risky — they can backfire if they are perceived of as “unfair.”) What ACORN has done, and continues to do, is fundamentally unfair.

On top of that, if we are to believe members of the Democrat party and the Congressional Black Caucus, the term “Joe Sixpack” is a racist one and apparently only applies to white (blue collar) people. What do you think those people will make of the workers ACORN hires and the people they register 72 times when they see them on the news?

That would be anywhere ACORN has an office. Trust me, the Acorn compound here in New Orleans is pretty close to where I work. These are not nice people who simply want to get the vote out. They clearly are working for Democrats and don’t have scruples about “legalities” like only signing up eligible voters.
