Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (Special time: 3:30 pm ET), we have an embarrassment of riches for you. We start off with actor Robert Davi, who currently stars in An American Carol, to talk about that movie and his new project, The Dukes, which appears ready for wide release after making a successful tour of the indie-festival circuit. It’s the directorial and writing debut for one of Hollywood’s most talented actors, and I’m looking forward to seeing it.
Later, Frank Donatelli, Deputy Chair of the RNC, will explain John McCain’s economic plan. After that, Jim Geraghty joins us for a preview of tonight’s debate, a discussion of Christopher Buckley’s “apostasy”, and what an Obama presidency might mean for political speech. Don’t miss it!
Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice moderates the chat, and he has his Troll Gun Trivia Contest running before the show, for those who get there early — and are registered!
Note: Davi makes his appearance at the 20-minute mark.

American Carol has generated $6 million at the box office. It needs a LOT more viewers to make it’s money back…
Go see it!

Ask Robert what cigars he prefers these days (I enjoyed his interview in Cigar Aficianado a few years ago).

Robert Davi made the best villain on Stargate, Kolya. Shame they killed him off in such a bad episode….

You were reading my mind. I sat threw American Carol thinking in my head “It’s Kolya!” He does play an excellent villian.

I’d like to make a movie where Robert Davi is the hero.
