Obama will probably note that Annenberg has contributed to his campaign so he’s just as connected as Obama is.

This candidate is the one to clean house and set the priorities straight with a vision and philosophy that does America proud.

Couric could learn a few lessons about how to conduct a professional interview on substantive issues from just watching this tape.

Blaise, I think that all of the points that you list would win over undecideds and independents if McCain would address them with conviction and simply drop all reference to bipartisanship. If McCain has guiding principles for his security and economic plans, he should be able to convince the opposition to embrace them for the good of America. He must keep his “country first” focus and point out how all Americans benefit from growth.

Just a (paranoid) aside: Was someone manipulating the markets today in order to provide Obama with a soapbox about how we are in the “worst economy evah”? (Has anyone seen his buddy Soros lately?)

On reduced government revenue in bad economy under McCain’s plan: The revenue should be with the people, not the government. “The government has plenty of money. It’s just a matter of prioritizing.”

On “negativity” in campaign:
Notes that the issue of “associations” is relevant because 1. Matter of judgment, and
2. Showing “where he wants to lead this country.”

The campaign is taking a more aggressive stance. Too bad AP tried to cover that up.

I think the bailout was inevitable. In fact governments all over the world are doing this kind of intervention. It is not just here. That kind of scares me because it makes me think it is not just some kind of ploy, but a real crisis.

I thought so too. But now I’m not sure. The bailout proved to be a colossal failure except for enacting fistfuls of democrat pork. I’ll never forget the triumphant smile on Pelosi’s face afterwards. Something tells me they got positioned somewhere on their evil little chessboard that has been overlooked by all the analysts to this very day.

Plus, the bailout triggered panic in other markets worldwide. Opened the door for more billions of spending here at home, and they’re working on the third batch as we speak.

How I wish I knew what George Bush ransomed in exchange.

This is very real. The question is whether it is too real, which, unfortunately might be the case. This is why BHO in office is so scary a proposition.

My wife has this one on our gas guzzling Expedition. I can’t tell you how many people have asked her where she got it. And we live 20 miles outside DC.

I don’t like the idea of a bailout, but I don’t like the idea of a complete collapse of the financial markets either. I think the reason it got this bad because people just did not want to face how serious the problem was.

But I think McCain has to have more than Ayers. People just do not seem to care about that.

Indeed. Especially when she just grinned her way through the interview with Biden when he claimed “When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.’”
