<blockquote>I wish McCain could have picked her a month before he did and then just let her go out there and rip it up until election day completely unfettered by his campaign.</blockquote>

Yeah, but he would have had to listen to conservative morons in order to do that. What would his RINO base that pulls the lever for Dems have thought?!

What a great job she did here. The more she gets out there and people see her, the more they will like her and want to vote for the ticket. I wish McCain could have picked her a month before he did and then just let her go out there and rip it up until election day completely unfettered by his campaign.

I don't mind her not being 100% with McCain on everything. She is her own person, after all. I do wish that independence, considering they've only been a team for a few weeks, would stop being called out as some sort of failing on her part. Geesh.

Oh, too right, Wade. The styrofoam columns were at the dry cleaners. Impressed with style over substance, are you? Any comments over Governor Palin's hair style or clothes? (Kathleen Parker can fill you in on those talking points.)

Governor Palin goes to Washington!

This candidate is the one to clean house and set the priorities straight with a vision and philosophy that does America proud.

Couric could learn a few lessons about how to conduct a professional interview on substantive issues from just watching this tape.

<blockquote>Blaise on October 15, 2008 at 6:18 PM</blockquote>

Blaise, I think that all of the points that you list would win over undecideds and independents if McCain would address them with conviction and simply drop all reference to bipartisanship. If McCain has guiding principles for his security and economic plans, he should be able to convince the opposition to embrace them for the good of America. He must keep his "country first" focus and point out how all Americans benefit from growth.

Just a (paranoid) aside: Was someone manipulating the markets today in order to provide Obama with a soapbox about how we are in the "worst economy evah"? (Has anyone seen his buddy Soros lately?)

Just watched it.

On reduced government revenue in bad economy under McCain's plan: The revenue should be with the people, not the government. "The government has plenty of money. It's just a matter of prioritizing."

On "negativity" in campaign:
Notes that the issue of "associations" is relevant because 1. Matter of judgment, and
<strong>2. Showing "where he wants to lead this country."</strong>

References Hussein "call[ing] [McCain] out" on this (the one thing AP discusses).

References Hussein's "get in their face" instructions.

The campaign is taking a more aggressive stance. Too bad AP tried to cover that up.

<blockquote>I think the bailout was inevitable. In fact governments all over the world are doing this kind of intervention. It is not just here. That kind of scares me because it makes me think it is not just some kind of ploy, but a real crisis.

Terrye on October 15, 2008 at 7:33 PM</blockquote>

I thought so too. But now I'm not sure. The bailout proved to be a colossal failure except for enacting fistfuls of democrat pork. I'll never forget the triumphant smile on Pelosi's face afterwards. Something tells me they got positioned somewhere on their evil little chessboard that has been overlooked by all the analysts to this very day.

Plus, the bailout triggered panic in other markets worldwide. Opened the door for more billions of spending here at home, and they're working on the third batch as we speak.

How I wish I knew what George Bush ransomed in exchange.

This is very real. The question is whether it is too real, which, unfortunately might be the case. This is why BHO in office is so scary a proposition.

I think McCain's biggest problem is that he isnt a good debater. Sure, he could tag Obama but can he respond well to Obama's duck and spin reply? It's not just having the material but being able to work within the contraints of the debate format to maximize it and keep your opponent off balance. That's a difficult skill for most I think.

I think the bailout was inevitable. In fact governments all over the world are doing this kind of intervention. It is not just here. That kind of scares me because it makes me think it is not just some kind of ploy, but a real crisis.

I don't like the idea of a bailout, but I don't like the idea of a complete collapse of the financial markets either. I think the reason it got this bad because people just did not want to face how serious the problem was.

But I think McCain has to have more than Ayers. People just do not seem to care about that.

I believe so too. All the way down to my crunchy little bones.

<blockquote>This interview makes Couric look like a moron who blew her chance to get a good interview from SarahCuda.

Indeed. Especially when she just grinned her way through the interview with Biden when he claimed “When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed. He said, ‘Look, here’s what happened.’”

LOL, Dunce and Dunchess.
