Debate: Live chat and open thread

posted at 7:05 pm on October 15, 2008 by Ed Morrissey

Tonight we have the final presidential debate for the 2008 cycle, and if you’re in the Twin Cities area, we have some party ready for you!  AM1280 The Patriot will host a debate party at Trocadero’s in Minneapolis tonight.  The Northern Alliance Radio Network will emcee an evening of fun and politics, including my radio partner Mitch Berg, Power Line, SCSU Scholars, and Fraters Libertas.  We’ll have free appetizers and a cash bar. The debate goes from 8pm CST to 9:30pm CST and doors will open around 7:30pm. Admission is free – but please RSVP at the handy AM1280 RSVP Page so we can plan accordingly.

You won’t miss anything at Hot Air, either, if you’re not able to make it to the party.  We’ll have a live chat room running during the debate, with Jazz Shaw and Lady Logician moderating a cast of thousands — literally!  Since the live streaming has interfered with the operation of the blog for some Hot Air readers, we’ll skip that and stick with the chat room.

I’ll also make a post-debate appearance on the Hugh Hewitt show at 10:30 CT to discuss the night’s events and their implication for the election. And yes, I shamelessly recycled the first two paragraphs of this post from my pre-debate analysis.  I’m all about efficiency, baby!

Blowback

OH, BS…
Don’t start that “reaching across the aisle” crap, Obama – you haven’t reached across any aisle, ever, in your whole life.

Hey Mac, now would be a good bring up the Democratic congress.

Climate change…. ugh!

eaglescout1998 on October 15, 2008 at 9:24 PM

Soooo…Iceland or Australia? Tell me where to go?!?!?
McCain just seems like a rabid chihuahua in a corner…but if he’s going down, go down fighting. Not to mention, to many Americans are ignorant of the fact.

The least common of the senses is common sense.

Alright John, you’re not Bush, but don’t forget you’re running against Obama, not Bush.

Contradicting the 95% BS would be good.

McCain is cleaning his clock. But of course when the MSM conduct their polls with 70% Democrats-they’ll say Obama falsely won as usual.

Bikerken on October 15, 2008 at 9:26 PM

Bikerken on October 15, 2008 at 9:31 PM

Obama is a much better liar. For anybody who believes that’s the most important job for a President, then Obama’s your man. I think a lot of Democrats do think that’s an important skill in politics, and because of that they’re good at it.
