Transcript: Palin and Limbaugh on Obama and ACORN

No audio, alas, but the full transcript has been posted.

RUSH: Well, now, as I listen to your campaign appearances and Senator McCain’s, it seems that you are the more forceful in speaking out against Obama and his campaign ideas. Are they giving you pretty much free rein to attack this campaign as you wish?

GOVERNOR PALIN: Well, you know, there just aren’t enough hours in the day I think to get out there and (cell garbled). Rush, I’ve got nothing to lose in this, and I think America has everything to gain by understanding the differences, the contrasts here between Obama and McCain. So, you know, I’m going out there and I’m just simply speaking. So be it that I’m a simple talker, but I’m just going out there and letting people know the differences and how absolutely paramount it is that voters are paying attention and that voters are understanding candidates’ records, their associations, their plans for the future; instead of being kind of wrapped up into all this rhetoric of Obama’s and buying into it and not holding him accountable for the things that he’s done, the things that he’s said, his associates, and where he wants to take America.

He drops a little bait about her political future, which she refuses to take, but he’s clearly enough of a fan that she’ll have a huge megaphone for years to come. As for what she says about ACORN and reaching out to Obama, here’s the PDF of Team Maverick’s letter last month inviting The One to cooperate in an anti-fraud initiative. No reply yet, although his campaign manager was thoughtful enough to sneer about Fox News becoming a “24-hour ACORN channel” earlier today. Exit question: With all the bad press they’re getting, from corruption lawsuits to banner treatment at Drudge to, well, all of this, why doesn’t Obama just throw them under the bus? If it was good enough for Wright and Pfleger and Rezko and Kwame Kilpatrick, surely a perfunctory “This is not the ACORN I thought I knew” statement shouldn’t be too difficult.

You can only go to that well so many times. I think Obama recognizes that if he were to try that, many more people than now would see him for the fraud he is.

RUSH: That’s exactly it. The media is not holding him accountable; the media is covering up for him. That’s why there is so much enthusiasm for you, because you are the one in this campaign who is holding him to account and trying to explain who he is and who his alliances are with and have been. There are two stories today — one in the Los Angeles Times, one in the New York Times — both saying how wonderful you are as a speaker. The New York Times posited that you are the most forceful and dynamic speaker of all four candidates on the presidential circuit. Then they said that your forcefulness and your opinionatedness and your charisma and your overwhelming ability to say what you mean, is driving away moderates. Now, this is an attempt to get you to shut up.

Love her.

The Obama campaign is now distancing itself from Acorn, claiming Mr. Obama never organized with it and has nothing to do with illegal voter registration. Yet it’s disingenuous to channel cash into an operation with a history of fraud and then claim you’re shocked to discover reports of fraud.

As with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers, Mr. Obama was happy to associate with Acorn when it suited his purposes. But now that he’s on the brink of the Presidency, he wants to disavow his ties.

That $800,000 is what shackles Obama to ACORN and leaves him unable to effectively distance himself from it. And the word is beginning to spread, in spite of all the efforts of the Drive-By media to suppress it.

The ACORN matter, together with continuing fallout from Ayers and Rezko, will begin to take its toll over the next three weeks – even as the Drive-Bys continue to proffer increasingly cooked up polling data.

She worked on the 2004 campaign as a lwayer for Bush and she laid out the reason Acorn has all of these Fraudlent registrations and how they use them. Find that audio

She said after the polls close the poll workers look up the empty names and file a ballot for them. You have corrupt poll workers and this happens after polls close.

People really underestimate this threat, or dismiss it as another “conspiracy theory”. But the reality is that leaders in congress have tried to shut Rush up through intimidation many times before.
And we saw the Obama campaign and their lapdog the MSM lay the groundwork this week with their accusations of how “dangerous” it is for Palin to talk about Obama and his acquaintances.
The left’s interest in shutting down the opposition is very real, they have been doing it for decades through their thought police invoking “tolerance”, “fairness” and all kind of PC strategies. I have no doubt that this effort will lead to some kind of legislation in the next few years. We will hear about some idiot killing a liberal because of something he heard in talk radio and that will be it. We have already seen Canada take these steps. Don’t believe for a minute it will not happen here.

Depending on the situation.. more then enough people are having problems with the way the Nation is turning. You must think about it…. Oil, the environmental issues that are being told NO and NO Appeal for it…. in small ways it is turning… and it will keep turning.

You’re thinking of Holland – where dykes are basically what we call levees.

They do have something in common though – they’re both sturdy impenetrable objects.

Good! Well, good enough, I guess. Weird hours lately due to people calling in. Sat 10p-6a, Sun 2p-11p, Mon 1p-midnight, Tue 10a-11a.

I’m sticking with Sarah, win or lose. Unless she carpet bombs a school district, or something, that is.

Piper is so cute! She may be an “up-and-comer.” She seems to be quite comfortable in front of the camera.

If it was good enough for Wright and Pfleger and Rezko and Kwame Kilpatrick, surely a perfunctory “This is not the ACORN I thought I knew” statement shouldn’t be too difficult.

Because the relationship goes way deep and they have him by his balls.

Same reason, I suspect, why McCain won’t launch gale force on Fannie and the Subprime Banditos.
