Now Minnesota joins the ACORN parade

The little ACORN just keeps growing. Now Minnesota becomes the latest state to suspect that the organization has committed fraud in its voter-registration efforts. Hennepin County, home to Minneapolis, will consider whether to file criminal charges, although in this case the review sounds a bit puzzling:
The Hennepin County Attorney’s office said today it is investigating whether a voter registration processing lapse at the Minnesota ACORN office falls within guidelines for criminal prosecution.
A malfunctioning scanner at ACORN’s St. Paul offices in August created a backlog that caused a batch of cards to be submitted late to the Hennepin County Elections Board.
All of the registrations were processed in time to allow voters to participate in both the primary and general elections. None was discarded for fraud or ineligibility.
So what’s the problem? The backlog itself, apparently. It caused ACORN to dump its registrations on the county board after the deadline, perhaps as many as 1,000 or more. While the county didn’t disqualify any of the applications, one has to wonder why they delayed. Did they want to flood the office at the last moment and keep them from validating the registrations, or was it just a malfunction?
Normally, one would figure that this would result in nothing more than a civil fine if it was just a malfunction. Why, then, is Hennepin talking about criminal charges? Sounds like something more than a bad scanner is going on in Minnesota ACORN.

Tomorrow nite, next debate. This is McCain’s one chance to show the US what and who the real Obama is. He doesn’t have to spend all nite attacking … just factual comments about ACORN and such directed to America that Obama will have to respond to. The rest of the debate can be on issues.
America has to be told who this man is and who he works for.

McCain has had 2 issues with which totally destroy the democrat party:
FMFM and now ACORN
He hasn’t used either – effectively. This could be a republican landslide with these D scandals. But McCain is doing nothing.

Poll watchers had better be extremely vigilant and large in number. registrations alone aren’t votes but open the door for massive fraud!
Chicago politics going national!
McCain needs to point out Obamas ties to this and hang the financial mess on the Dem affirmative action crowd where it belongs. Time for the Mr. nice guy routine to end it is his last chance/dance else he and Lieberman will be relegated to desks in the senate basement with a single dim bulb!

This is The Obama’s 50 state campaign. You’ll find ACORN fraud in every state before this is over.
Of course, The Obama will deny having anything to do with it, because it will be the fault of those workers out on the street who are defrauding ACORN.

How can poll watchers be especially vigilant? If Micky Mouse shows up, with valid ID, and is on the registered voter rolls, he gets a ballot.
“Yes, really, my name is Micky Mouse. I love that character.”
“No, my name really is Tony Romo. See, look at my driver’s license.”

The “delay” in turning in the cards was that Acorn decided they should go through all the them and throw out the multiple Mickey Mouse’s and Fran Tarkingtons….
Rovin on October 14, 2008 at 7:37 PM
I wonder if all of the delayed registrations were Republicans. When my felon brother was working for ACORN, he said that if someone registered Republican, they’d just throw it away because they weren’t getting paid for it. Of course, he is a felon, drug-dealer, so you can’t take everything he says at face value.

Canadian Imperialist Running Dog on October 14, 2008 at 8:09 PM
Does the DOJ have some constitutional amendment like threshold for voter fraud wherein it has to occur in 3/4’s of the states before they actually get humping?
JHC, this isn’t something new. ACORN has been doing this for decades and the longer they gotten away with it, the more brazen they’ve gotten in flouting the law. It’s just this bad now because the people running ACORN probably believe no one will touch them since they think they have sufficient political backing. The sad thing is they are probably right.

lorien1973 on October 14, 2008 at 8:49 PM
We know that acorn is committing fraud in behalf of Obama. We also know that the indies are turned off by the attacks and that the base is demanding them.
There is a way to accomplish both goals. Here’s how……
There is a sales technique called “forced response” and we have all experienced it. An example would be when a car salesman, rather than ask you if you want the car, he asks you if you want the red one or the blue one. This is called the hard sell because it glosses over the basic premise (do you want this model car) and makes the secondary consideration the main issue.
This is the technique that McCain should use when dealing with Obama’s associations.
IE: “Senator Obama, we know that your associations with Willaim Ayres, Tony Rezko, ACORN, Reverend Wright, and other extremists are problematic. Can you promise the American people tonight that the association you have in the future will not be so problematic?”
The audience naturally wants the question answered, but Obama cannot let the basic premise that he has associated with extremists go unanswered. So, he has to defend his associations. While he is doing so, the audience is still waiting for an answer because they don’t know if it’s true or not and there is enough evidence that they are concerned. They simply want to know if his appointments will have main stream views.
I’m not an expert on this stuff, but you get the gist.
csdeven on October 14, 2008 at 8:51 PM
Why, then, is Hennepin talking about criminal charges? Sounds like something more than a bad scanner is going on in Minnesota ACORN.
Guilt by insinuation again! In fairness, it’s so easy to do.
This whole ACORN thing is a joke. The fraudulent names were added by people who were trying to pull a fast one on ACORN by adding more names (and thus getting more money) without doing any work.
But, as long as you have insinuation, you’ve got a story!

jen on October 14, 2008 at 9:26 PM
Let’s see if I get your point…
Schools allow children to leave class and march in lefty endorsed protests, but don’t report it since that would cut into their Fed MONEY. Whose fault? The kids.
Schools have meal programs with a “means test” that almost everyone lies about since they know no one will check and the schools are able to turn a small PROFIT on the income, so they turn a blind eye. Whose fault? The parents.
Food stamp programs find that they are not able to give away all of their budget. Solution? Spend some of it on advertising so as to “get out the stamps”, but don’t vet the applications since that might defeat the purpose of giving away all the MONEY they were given. Thus allowing them to ask for even more next year. Whose fault? The applicants.
“Volunteers of America” has PAID volunteers (oxymoron alert) who provide “free” pre-school, also with a “means test” filter. Almost the entire class is made up of Hispanics (in my area here in SoCal) whose mother’s drive very very nice SUV’s. Whose fault? The parents.
ACORN receives money based on the number of signed voter registration forms they can turn in. The word is out that no one is vetting the forms, so the collectors turn in as many as they can regardless of the “rules” they were supposedly told to follow because they know the rules are not enforced. Whose fault? The collectors.
So, in your world, none of the people actually charged with the responsibility of ensuring the proper administration of the programs they are paid to administer have any culpability.
Right?

Even if Mccain knows he is robbed on election night he will proably just let it go for the ‘good of the country’
What he needs to do right now is turn up the heat in a major way.

Make a speech in front of some army rangers or something and say we are in danger of becoming a bannana republic and this is unacceptable.

If you’ve ever wondered if voter disenfranchisement is real you have the proof now as your votes are about to be canceled out by an organization that is gung-ho for cheating. If the American people cannot rely on the integrity of our voting system then our government loses legitimacy as the people’s say is not heard. For WE THE PEOPLE are the government and our elected officials are to elected by us to represent us. Not to represent the will of a few who have do not have a majority and need to CHEAT to win.

Why was it necessary for ACORN to scan something? Collect the forms and hand them in. Or hand out the blank forms and let people send them directly to the county. Or go to a photocopy shop, make copies of these forms, turn in the originals, and scan the copies when the scanner is fixed.

It really makes no sense to get all worked up about this. It is now too late to stop it.
Horse. Barn. Gone.
These states with rampant ACORN voter fraud have intentionally allowed it to happen and have put up every roadblock they could to prevent things like mandatory voter ID’s, etc. They have guaranteed that the election results for this election will be as phony as a three dollar bill and there is not a thing any of us can do about it. These tactics are straight out of the NSDAP play book.
Once they get their Obamamessiah “elected” it will be the last election we will have. A Democrat/Marxist stacked Supreme Court, a Democrat/Marxist stacked court system and carefully crafted lawsuits out of Democrat/Marxist “community activists” will guarantee that the Bill of Rights and the Constitution will become little more then the Obamamessiah’s toilet paper and the concept of government of, by and for the people will cease to exist. After all, we are too stupid according to our “liberal/progressive intellectual betters” like Queen Nancy Pelosi, the Dirty Commissioner Harry Reid, the Obamamessiah, his MSM choir, Rappers, race warriors, 1960’s terrorists, Islamofascists, those rocket scientists in Hollywood and the “owners” of the Democratic party know what is good for us and aren’t going to stand for us actually wanting to have a voice in it.

The second part of this statement is the part I have a real problem with. In my view, this election has been compromised at this point. With over a dozen states reporting heavy voter fraud at the hands of ACORN, it’s to late to reverse the damage.
I don’t care about the (D) or the (R), I care about our free election system (Democracy) have been compromised, esp. by an organized effort by an organization that is funded in part by my tax dollars.

Didn’t know where to post this. Not only is Acorn helping to cheat for Obama. There have been people calling credit companies complaining that someone took money off of their card and donated it to Obama. All of these are not for Obama. One person had 2,300.00 taken for Obama. This is getting scary when someone has access to personal credit card information and is taking other people’s monies to donate. What is next? If Nobrainerobama wins we are so screwed.
