Hit and run: Suspected illegals plow into car, leave victims without help

Wouldn’t have been the first time someone died from an illegal’s reckless driving, but this time, thankfully, there were no fatalities.

21 people in custody, at least check.

This is nothing new. Here in Southern Arizona, when the police or ICE chase vans full of illegals, the illegals will often get on the wrong side of the highway and drive against traffic. They know it makes it tougher for law enforcement to catch up with them, as LE has to worry about endangering and/or killing innocent motorists — something the illegals couldn’t care less about.

Remember the Dubai Ports Deal that together we forced Congress to drop?

Today, Dubai is borrowing money, unable to pay for it’s biggest building (for now) in the world. And the country is unstable economically. Had Dubai won the US Ports Deal, and then needed to sell it in order to remain solvent, WHO would have bought it next? Iran? China? Russia? Venezuela?

“These companies that are based in Dubai have become larger than Dubai itself,” said Giyas Gokkent, chief economist at National Bank of Abu Dhabi, the U.A.E.’s second-largest commercial bank by assets. “If anything were to go wrong with any of these companies, Dubai does not have the wherewithal to deal with it.” –Bloomberg.com link @ Drudge

Though no federal statistics are kept on murders or any other crimes committed by illegal aliens, a number of groups have produced estimates based on data collected from prisons, news reports and independent research.
Twelve Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens, according to statistics released by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa. If those numbers are correct, it translates to 4,380 Americans murdered annually by illegal aliens. That’s 21,900 since Sept. 11, 2001.
But the carnage wrought by illegal alien murderers represents only a fraction of the pool of blood spilled by American citizens as a result of an open border and un-enforced immigration laws.
While King reports 12 Americans are murdered daily by illegal aliens, he says 13 are killed by drunk illegal alien drivers – for another annual death toll of 4,745. That’s [another] 23,725 since Sept. 11, 2001.

IrishEi, I was a LOUD critic of the comprehensive immigration reform bill, should you not recall.

Until you read it all, however, you might not realize that the immigrants would be put into tracking system. Furthermore, as POTUS, McCain would not be endorsing higher taxes on the wealthy to provide free-for-nothing incomes to lower income populations; Obama will.

maverick muse on October 13, 2008 at 5:42 PM

MavMuse, wise_man, etc…

This isn’t about Obama. This is about a problem that started a long time ago. Remember the amnesty from the Reagan years? Obama can pull the “I was only eight years old” defense and not be fibbing by much. We shouldn’t even be debating immigration policy – the laws should have been enforced from day one and this wreck shouldn’t have happened. Knocking McCain on this issue is fair game. Would Obama be worse? Duh. Obama is worse at everything I can think of. Far worse. Obama being wretchedly awful for our country doesn’t mean McCain should be immune to criticism on this issue.

Get real, dude.

Get real, exactly. PERSPECTIVE AND PRIORITY MATTER.

My point is that the immigration problem is part and parcel with our economic meltdown–ACORN went to bat for illegals who had no right to be in America and had no financial means to afford purchasing a home forcing you and me to finance millions of illegal alien US home mortgages.

But don’t feign THAT was McCain’s fault to satiate our own bitter angst now.

McCain’s amnesty bill failed, anyway.

Should “amnesty” rise again in Congress, it will fail again UNLESS ACORN IS SUCCESSFULLY PROSECUTED as they forge votes to steal elections that determine such outcomes as public outcry would influence.

Hence, it isn’t “immigration” at the moment to focus for defeat.

DEFEAT ACORN NOW! Maintain legitimate elections in the USA. Then RULE OF LAW that McCain supports still rules the day.

This thread, as I said, is a trap set for numbskull suckers.

Thanks Grue, I also forgot to point out the irony in my post regarding the Mayor of Phoenix wanting to prosecute Sheriff Joe for civil rights violations because he he’s trying to do his job by enforcing immigration laws and protect AZ citizens from the crimes committed by illegal immigrants, what’s ironic about this is how in the world can Sheriff Joe violate the “civil rights” of an illegal alien? Don’t you have to be a legal citizen of this country to have the civil rights protections under our constitution?

Now there may be some international ageements the US has signed on to that would afford these illegal immigrants some rights, but they by no means have any civil rights protections afforded under the US constitution…correct me if I’m wrong.

Wouldn’t have been the first time someone died from an illegal’s reckless driving,

Plenty of innocent people are killed, maimed, or otherwise harmed by illegal aliens, some accidentally, and some intentionally. I’ve chronicled the myriad cases I have worked on in other entries on HotAir.

An illegal killed a U.S. Marine and his girlfriend in my area, and I worked part of that case. It was PREVENTABLE.

We are now searching for another illegal alien who is responsible for the death of an innocent woman.

Simply, these horrible deaths and injuries are 100% PREVENTABLE. Criminal acts are an equation:

MEANS + MOTIVE + OPPORTUNITY = CRIMINAL ACT

Take away any part and it fails to occur. Opportunity is being in the place of occurrence at the time. If the illegals weren’t in the country or were in jail, there would be no opportunity.

Car crashes like the one detailed in the link below require no motive, but still require opportunity.

The Supreme Court decided years ago that mere presence of an illegal alien in the United States is a crime in itself.

Pro-Illegal Alien = Pro-Crime Period.

jgapinoy on October 13, 2008 at 7:17 PM

Wrong, it is McCain’s lousy campaigning that makes it this close because the other side’s candidate is even worse. Even with the negatives, McCain should be lightyears ahead of a guy with as little experience as Obama. It is “this close” because McCain is the wrong candidate and voters are looking elsewhere with good cause. McCain has alienated his base and he will lose as a result. God Help America over the next four years because fools in the GOP leadership allowed a dog like McCain to get the nomination instead of a real Republican willing to stand up for American values.

highhopes on October 13, 2008 at 8:28 PM

McCain lives in Maricopa county which has become the murder capital of the South West as well as a site of gang warfare all do to illegals. This is one of those places that doesn’t believe in containing and deporting illegals. This is in the spirit of the McCain/Bush amnesty. His constituents locally and throughout Arizona probably love it.

McCain’s candidacy will be the first Presidential candidacy to be devastated by the McCain/Kennedy campaign finance law in spite of McCain’s efforts to get around the spirit of the law.

When I think of McCain, I think of amnesty, campaign law and frugality (which I applaud) as his signature issues. America will be living with these problems as well as Obama Deal long after McCain is planted in the ground.

I think it is quite likely that the ultra leftist Democrats will have the White House as well as Congress for as long as the Roosevelt/Truman New/Fair Deal era of twenty years.
