Cleveland’s Bob Frantz of WTAM 1100 wanted to ask Brian Clark, communications director for Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, about the court battles she has waged to keep from having to address allegations of voter fraud in early voting. Frantz tries to get Clark to discuss why Brunner blocked independent observers from the process, and disagrees with Clark when he tries to lay blame off on the Ohio legislature. When he confronts Clark with actual evidence of ACORN’s registration fraud in Cleveland, Clark responds with The Dial Tone of Deep Concern:
The point about election observers seems especially absurd. I’m sure the Ohio legislature didn’t prohibit observers for early voting efforts. If evidence arises that outside groups have tampered or will tamper with an election, the Secretary of State has a duty to act to prevent it, and Brunner has all the authority she needs to protect the process.
Obviously, she and her team are not interested in protecting the voting process, the primary task of her office. Why not? You can draw your own conclusions, but I don’t think ACORN is agitating to get more people to vote Republican.
Frantz demonstrates how badly they have positioned themselves on this. He was neither abusive nor blocking Clark from speaking, and yet Clark simply couldn’t handle the conversation. Clark hung up because Clark has no answer to Frantz’s questions.

This could make a nice Ohio ad, have all info on how Russia wouldn’t let Indy Observers on their votes and then let people know the same holds true for this.
Voter fraud, attacking those with differing views, all out falsehoods about your opponent. It use to be a joke that Dems and Communist were the same, now its just getting scary.

Hey, ACORN is non-partisan. They said so, so it must be true./ The head of ACORN was on Fox this weekend, laughing at everyone who thinks this will be investigated. She just laughed and repeatedly pointed out that 1.3 million new voters will be participating in the battleground states.

It’s nice to see now the demo-rat party is so concerned and so polite on all they do for this wonderful county. Hope everyone likes or will like our new socialistic goverment come January 2009 or sooner.

I am amazed at how ungrounded and slapdash everything that should guard the integrity of the voting system in America is.

Next time that a talk-radio show has Stanley Kurtz on talking about ACORN, voter fraud, and the Annenberg Challenge, they too should show a dial-tone of deep concern. Take the phone of the hook, and let Kurtz do a one-hour interview on the air with no call-ins.

Ed, thanks for the chuckle. The Dial Tone of Deep Concern lifted me out of the Slough of Electoral Despond.

A Marxist “thugocracy” is about to take over the country and no one has the guts to challenge them. All these so called conservatives like Crystal, Will, Barnes and the rest of those spoiled, weak-kneed whiners that believe we shouldn’t fight back, can kiss my backside.

Bob Frantz has been a breath of fresh air for Cleveland. I’ve listened to him ever since he replaced the awful Jerry Springer. Yep, just another liberal talk show that didn’t work.
Bob is always digging into issues. He posted videos and discussed the ACORN fraud days before anyone else did.
Kudos to Bob Frantz. Keep up the great work.

There was an ACORN spokeswoman on CSPAN Sunday morning also. She was toeing the party line and lying through her teeth. Denied workers were paid incentives to register people. Denied that conducted guerrilla activites to force banks to give loans to less then qualified applicants.
Even when the guy from CPAN brought up the evidence of ACORN reps currently in jail and all of the investigations primarily into their voter registration efforts she dismissed it as a right wing Republican smear.
The guy that was on Fox was even smarmier then David Axelrod, and you have to really go low to out smarmy Axelrod.

Dhimmicrats will use this as an argument for the “Fairness Doctrine.” “Look how unbalanced right wing radio is.”

I don’t think Acorn is agitating to register Republicans either.
Glynn on October 13, 2008 at 10:53 AM
Its great to see someone in Cleveland taking this on, especially one at the former WERE-AM, where I worked from 84-85 - except that instead of an intelligent man like Frantz, I had the distinct displeasure of working with Morton Downey Junior, who couldn’t hold Frantz’ jock.
Not surprised he received The Dial Tone of Deep Concern - Ohio’s Secretary of State is a Dem tool. Apparently she’s overlooked this part of her position: “As Ohio’s chief elections officer, the secretary of state oversees the elections process and appoints the members of boards of elections in each of Ohio’s 88 counties.”
Yeah, she’s overseeing it alright.

I do believe all holy hell is about to erupt in the “Great State Of Ohio”.
pilamaye on October 13, 2008 at 10:57 AM
This is really hurting enough people that it may cause a riot by people not having their votes counted. How, do you say? Because the results will not be counted and Ohio will end up with 0 electoral votes
ConservativePartyNow on October 13, 2008 at 10:57 AM
One of our local Obama supporters, Erin Neff of the Las Vegas Review Journal, recently wrote about the raid on Acorn’s offices here in town. She pooh-poohed any idea that they could have an affect on the voting here, claiming that there were only a few invalid registrations. They registered the entire starting line-up for the Dallas Cowboys!
One of the claims she made was that one must show an ID to register and vote. Of course, that is a lie. I have never shown an ID to either register, change registration or to vote. How many elderly poll workers will know that Tony Romo and Tyrell Owens are not Nevadans?

The fix is in.
The ACORN doesn’t fall far from the MESSIAH.
fogw on October 13, 2008 at 11:01 AM
No argument here with anything written above. Republicans got swept out of virtually every statewide office in 2006 after Bob Taft, an incredibly weak and forgettable Republican governor, committed some easily avoidable ethical violations and, most important, somehow allowed some contributor to invest about $50 million of the state’s unemployment compensation funds in rare coins. What a fiasco.
Here, in Ohio and in Congress, we’re paying the price for Republican leadership (or maybe I should limit that to politicians) who weren’t worth sh*t. I just worry with the new day of thugocracy coming that we can ultimately turn the tables.
Look at Michigan for a picture of things to come. Boy I wish McCain would announce a team of prospective cabinet appointees and start presenting the group as a team.

The fix is only in if we let it. It just means that we have to get our friends and families to the polls on Nov 4.

Democratic led intervention in the market process leads to a screw up that the Democrats benefit politically from, thus allowing them to pile on “fixes” of more government intervention.
A shame, but the free market is dead.
mylegsareswollen on October 13, 2008 at 11:17 AM
A couple of weeks ago another Brunner proxy called in to Franz’ show to, um, “address concerns” over an audio clip of election observers being kicked out of the “early balloting” in Ohio.
The rep said there was no provision for observers, and besides, they had a list of safeguards in place.
“Name one.”
Um, gotta go, bye. Dial tone of deep concern.

I second that sentiment!!!!!!!!!!!
IF there is any justice left in this world Brunner and her crew will indeed serve jail time. As mentioned above, she has appointed 88 election board members and is CYAing like never before seen since the days in Palm Beach! I hope you in Ohio stand up to this woman, and hound until her last days in office! Stand up and fight this like mad. We are behind you all the way! We need to find some private lawyers that will sue Brunner on behalf of the citizen of Ohio! Something like a class action lawsuit.

Yeah, we need the citizens of Ohio to begin to pressure the Dems for fair registration and valid registration. The time is ripe for us all to demand photo ID before ANYONE can vote ANYWHERE in this country. If we don’t, then we will lose our voice (such as it is) by the takeover of the thugs of ACORN and their ilk, and the aiders and abetters that the Democrap party has become.

Heh, I remember some years back Hyndes “people” tried to get that song banned from Rush’s radio show intro. When Rush called their bluff and went to Hynde herself she said that even though she disagreed with his politics, Rush could continue using the song because her parents love his show and she didn’t want to upset them…..That was a few years back though before the Dem. party was overrun by Soros and it’s base astroturfed….back when you could rationally still agree to disagree with some Democrats…..sad times we live in now….Obot Nation ahead full steam….

It’s time for the purple finger ink. The only way to make sure you only have one vote per voter (note -that doesn’t mean that each voter is legitimate. It only means they can only cheat once…).

Go figure….hanging up. They could save alot of money if they just shut all phone and internet services down for all federal, state and local officials. They apparently don’t listen to the phone messages or read any of the emails from their constituants anyhow. 9-1 no on bailout! Now if you do actually get someone on the phone they hang up on you.
